Hereditary Conditions

severe asthma (not as interfering as the others mentioned, I would say, but I hate asthma attacks a lot, especially when driving or working out)

I occasionally have a sort of muscle spasm in my chest that is apparently indistinguishable from a heart attack, so if I ever have a real heart attack, I probably won't know.

My grandma has Alzheimer's, so guess which lucky scamp has decent odds for that mindfuck?

Also both of my grandfathers have pattern baldness, but I'm not really concerned with that.

I have:
Tourettes, Asberger's, a skin problem that gives me pimples on my upper arm and my cheeks (tens of small pimples) on top of acne, possible OCD, and potential to develop Arthritis and Diabetes.

I have curly hair but no one else in my immediate family does.

I have moderate social anxiety (from my mom), a bad back (from both parents), and bad eyesight (from my dad's side).

It's basically a disease you suffer from in which your body doesn't absorb iron properly, instead, iron is gradually deposited in your body tissues such as joints.

Edit: Anyway, I may have ADHD, not sure, it's not hereditary, but it's fucked up for someone who has to concentrate a lot, i.e. attend classes and such things that require your full attention.

I'm Mixed Type Bipolar (I and II), and it encompasses ADD in the sense that my attention span is shit as well. I decided I'd try my first month at college without my medication (Concerta).

Bad idea.

I have acute ADHD. I was very successful for 4 years of university without my medicine.

Easily managed if found early. Unfortunately my Dad went for 40 odd years so there was abit of a problem. He had to have a pint of blood taken removed every week for a year and a bit, now it's only monthly for the rest of his life. Strangely the blood can't be used for transfusions despite the fact that the blood is fine and it messes up medical insurance.
Does mean you have an excuse not to eat broccoli. Every cloud has a silver lining.

I have Myopia and a good chance of NOT becoming bald. Because come on not every
hereditary successions is bad.

You should ask your parents if they are hypochondriac.

I was diagnosed with auto-immune hepatitis (completely fine now thanks to some open-minded doctors :D ) and my family has a lot of auto-immune conditions as well

But really guys, genetics load the gun and the environment pulls the trigger. Taking good care of your one and only body would really help and probably eliminate a lot of these things.

I have greying hair :(

Same here! :D

...though I've found some hairs that are grey at the end but black towards the root... so I don't know what's going on there.

I have Keratoconus (god i hope I spelled it right lol), which is an eye condition where the cornea becomes cone shaped, which completely fucks up my vision. I can't wear glasses or regular contacts, i have to wear fucking awful hard contacts, and eventually i might need cornea transplant surgery =/

but all four of my grandparents are alive and have full heads of hair, so theres that... lol

My father and his mother have both had heart problems, the former having a heart attack around two years ago. My sister also had heart problems when she was a bit younger than me, so there's a chance I might in the future, if I don't watch out.

I also have astigmatism, curtosey of my mother's side I believe.

Oh also like everyone on my mother's side of the family had cancer. My grandma had it some years ago, her sister died of leukemia and right now a cousin is dying from cancer on the intestines and liver :( and he is 24 :(
I'm not sure if genetics makes you more or less likely to develop cancer but I suppose it does.

Bad vision, but that's pretty much it, thankfully.

Other than the fact that I can't ever get tan no matter how much time I spend in the sun, but that's probably a good thing
