Shush. Very light purple shades are close enough. The Goodra line isn't blue.
I was disapointed to hear that Vikavollt only got Levitate. Sniper or No Guard would have been so cool, but instead, he got a ability that neutralizes a type he isn't even weak to...So now we get a new ability confirmed Battery and Vikavolt gets Levitate I must say is really nice. Also A lot of the provisional non official traductions were pinpoint went I saw the official ones some are even the same. I think Togedemaru with Iron barbs was to be seen by far xD
Edit: Official site updated, we can mount a Stoutland ftw!!
Batery raises the power of sp atk moves of allies!
10% Zygarde gets an ability called Power Construct (Swarm change) it activates when Hp is below half in both 10% and 50% it seems!!
Core enforcer, Erases the ability of any pokemon that used a move the same Turn!!!
Complete Zygarde has a Core on each of its wings!!
Bruxish also gets Strong Jaw!
Drampa gets Sap Sipper! Berserk raises the sp Atk when low on Hp not on super effective hits!
Nature’s Madness, slams an opponent and reduces that Pokémon’s HP by half!
Rockruff is such a great name :D It's cute, it's got alliteration, it's a dog pun, and it's descriptive! How did we miss it! It's physically got rocks on its ruff! :D
Excited about a lot of this stuff tbh. Equally confused over the Sap Sipper Dragon trend.
that was just a coincidence. This trailer music is different from the previous ones: this was the trainer battle music, while the other trailers have the theme musicBruxish's cry: "Wha, wha, wha, wha?"
I'm liking the trailer music, especially at the"Get off my lawn!"Drampa part.
read the description on the website. It hates it when those it loves get hurt, then gets angry... it also gets Berserk (Frenzy in japanese). So either your hypothesis is wrong, or Drampa is getting Moody as a Hidden Ability.
Dedenne isn't too easy to pronounce, imo.
Oh now I really hope that Togedemaru has Follow Me. That + Iron Barbs would be pretty annoying in doubles. (Mainly for the jokes about Togedemaru being VGC Worlds 2017 MVP like Pachi was two years ago.)
Looks like they were tired of The fact that a lot of winged insects couldn't illustrate they could fly due to typing and gave one levitate... Eh, slightly disappointing, especially since its prevo has a neat new ability. Maybe HA Vikavolt has battery? That would be cool. (Website mentions that sometimes Viakvolt will carry a Charjabug with them in fights, so this may be unlikely, sadly.)
Some herbavores can go berserk.
that's just baseless speculation about Ash and Serena, being Anime characters, appearing in a game where they haven't done that for so many years. try to reduce speculation like this, its what closes the thread earlyZinnia is highly doubted to be in sun/moon since characters that appear in 1 game usually dont appear again. Looker did, but he stopped evil organisations. Zinnia took in the power to get rayquazza to save the world, which looker is not the case. In fact, There is not a Rayquazza to catch in every game. However there is a rumor that Ash and Serena are coming as players in Sun/moon.I hope that is correct but anyway moving on. Zinnia is a DRACINOID. That is a dragon type tranior/hero. The legendries in sun/sun are steel/physhic and ghost/physic. As you can see the realised videos don't show any signs of Zinnia in them. So... She probably will not be in sun/moon but hey she could be since in ORAS she moved to another region; but thats just a therory.
it talks about a new elementhttps://twitter.com/famitsu/status/748877835507421184
So this famitsu tweet got retweeted by Masuda, and some people are saying its related to some new mechanic. Can we get a translation?
why do you keep hating on lumineonAs long as it's better than Lumineon I'm certain it'll have its uses.
the least they could do is make a good ice type for once. We only have Weavile and Ice-Arceus for half devent ice typesI put it into Google Translate, this is what I got:
Unspecified screen photos published ! Hint of " Pokemon Sun Moon " new elements ?
Edit: ninja'd.
I'm hoping Ice types get thrown a bone in SuMo, but unfortunately since this region's based on Hawii I don't think there'll be many Ice types there, just like there weren't many Fire types in Sinnoh. Have Hail give them a +1 Speed boost for example
no this was there before![]()
I think this is new. From the video on Magearna's section on the official site. It's the same battle showing off Soul Heart, but now it doesn't cut away at the start of the fight and we get to see Magearna's HP. Realistically (i.e. assuming no EVs) its base HP range is 80-95, but factoring in the small possibility of EVs it could be as low as 48. Might be worth noting that the Eevee beside Magearna has 0 IV/0 EVs, so if Magearna shares that trait it would have base 95 HP. Regardless, it seems Magearna is not a straight 100 base Pokemon, though this isn't too surprising after Gen VI took a break from using this uninspired stat spread.
the ash coma theory confirmedAnd speaking of Komala/Nekkoala, why would they name its ability after a coma? Seems really fucking weird in my opinion. Judging from what's come out so far I'm expecting a bulky Normal-type. (I'm not sure if its attack will be any good at all though)
Rockruff is a dumb name in my opinion, but the Pokemon itself looks promising. Primarily because it's likely to be a fast Rock-type that's not Aerodactyl or Archeops, so that's always nice.
Cutiefly will likely suffer from the same thing as Dedenne or Sableye prior to that thing getting Prankster. Decent typing, god awful everything else. I want it to get a good evolution but I don't even know if it'll get one or not.
Pikachu the Hedgehog thing is cute I guess. I also saw a Twitter post yesterday (Or was it today? Can't remember really) about how the Pikaclones are getting fatter each generation and I actually find it pretty damn true. (Ironic as Pikachu itself was chubby back in generation 1)
Drampa is likely to be specially-based Druddigon. At least this one has a good design going for it. (Though I believe the best Normal-type move it'll ever get is like Uproar/Hyper Voice if its a special attacker)
Vikavolt looks pretty damn cool actually. I'm not sure how strong/weak it'll be though, but it's likely to be on par with Vivillon at least. Only having Levitate as an ability though kind of sucks because it kills any chance of it getting a hidden ability.
255 is the most you can invest. THere is no limit to how high a base stat can be. Anyway all investments are essentially quartered, because at level 100, 4 ev thingys are1785 is the highest BST any Pokemon can have assuming one has 255 in every stat. It's safe to say Zygrad-Oh is going to have high stats... (Maybe not speed though)
everyone likes nekkoala moore than komala,Drampa has Sap Sipper...to be honest, I'm not surprised. There was a gut feeling I had that it would be like Goodra, and there it is. And due to that, I'm starting to warm up to it. I might just use one in my playthrough.
And Comatose is the worst ability name ever. It would have been better as so many other translations (I liked Sure Sleeper, the Bulbapedia translation of it's Japanese name).
The battle music used in the English trailer is great.
Also, it is looking like Tapu Koko is a legendary, though it isn't confirmed. If it is, I'll gladly be using Vikavolt.
Damn, the area by the Bell Tower in Ecruteak (HGSS, of course) just got beaten in the "best looking area in a main series Pokémon game" category.
You pulled Ash-Greninja out of nowhere.
No, it's 1530. 1785 would be base 297.5 across all six stats or 255 across seven stats.
Nope. I really like the old name, but I'll likely get over it like I always do.
oh. I think you want to check this out: http://www.pokemon-sunmoon.com/en-us/pokemon/ go to the legendary filter. There is only two: Solgaleo and Lunala. Tapu Koko is just a normal pokemon. The term "Pseudo-Legendary" actually refers just to Pokémon whose stats rival those of a legendary, more specifically those with a Base Stat Total of 600, of which there exist only 7: Dragonite, Tyranitar, Salamence, Metagross, Garchomp, Hydreigon, and Goodra. But you're not totally wrong regarding the type of legendary-ness we're discussing.
That said, I do think Tapu Koko and its fellow island guardians will be at least minor legendaries on par with 'mons like Azelf/Mesprit/Uxie and Raikou/Entei/Suicune.
Actually, they're not talking about EVs.255 is the most you can invest. THere is no limit to how high a base stat can be. Anyway all investments are essentially quartered, because at level 100, 4 ev thingys are
All Japanese Pokémon's names are written using katakana. Katakana follows the same pronunciation patterns as hiragana and are used for words which are either converted from other languages (e.g. ドライブ (doraibu; drive) or are meant to be taken for their phonetic sound as opposed to their meaning (in this case, names (e.g. トゲデマル (Togedemaru), マーチン (Maachin; Martin)). As such, their pronunciation does not line up with the rules of English pronunciation, and this difference between English pronunciation and katakana pronunciation is where the infamous "Engrish" (a name for the way that Japanese people who are taught English by people who have never lived in an English-speaking country speak said language, which takes the piss out of the fact that words with "L" in them have said character replaced by a r-based katakana) comes from. If you look at Japanese Pokémon names compared to English ones, whenever they share the same or very similar names (e.g. ピカチュウ (Pikachuu; Pikachu) and a lot of Legendary Pokémon (e.g. ゼルネアス (Zeruneasu; Xerneas), ギラチィナ (Girachiina; Giratina))) they are all things which can be easily translated into other languages. Game Freak like to give legendaries global names, and this is a big influence on their choice of Japanese name. That said, as you can see from their Katakana names, the pronunciation rules are not the same as they are in English; namely, Xerneas is pronounced「ゼルネアス」("ze-roo-ne-a-soo") as opposed to "zer-nee-ass", and similarly Giratina is pronounced「ギラチィナ」("gi-ra-chii-na") as opposed to "gi-ra-tee-na", and if you were to take both the Japanese name in romaji form and it's English name and apply English pronunciation rules you would get "Jirachi-na" and "Jiratee-na", respectively, which is quite obviously not how it is pronounced either over here or over there. In the case of legendaries, the English names' pronunciation is based on the Japanese pronunciation--not the other way around--and as such the English rules do not apply to the Japanese names due to the fact that this then extends over all of the Japanese names of Pokémon.but names such as the ones to the pokemon announced follow english grammer patterns.
It's the highest number that can be stored in 1 byte (allowing for a stat of 0). 1 byte = 8 bits. 2^8 - 1 = 255.Actually, they're not talking about EVs.
The way stats currently work is that they can be 255 max due to something to do with bytes. I forget exactly what it was, haven't done computing for years; but it is true that base stats can only be as high as 255.
no i'm talking about the english names. they are pronounced using english grammer. Mokuroh maybe pronounced using japanese grammer, but rowlet is clearly pronounced in a decidedly english way.that was what i meantAll Japanese Pokémon's names are written using katakana. i agree that it is a cave, but others may be thrown off by all the plants.![]()
Why do people think this is a forest? I dont get it. There is a ceiling, rock walls on either side, a hole at the very end, Heck, even the part of the source address has cave written right there!

Cutiefly is sad because you already forgot it exists. (Whimsicott as well)Yeah Zygarde really doesn't need more than Sub/Filler/Core Enforcer/Thousand Arrows. The only Pokemon that resist Dragon/Ground are Skarm and Levitate Bronzong, which are handled by Thousand Arrows. This is promising.
this woud be really cool. It also coulld be like the pan-monkeys in gen 5, where you'd get the one strong against your starter's weakness.I think Rockruff's evolutions are going to be dependent on your starter (or the one in your party). Corocoro stated that the starters and Rockruff hide a secret, and I think said secret has to do with its evolutions. For example, if you have Rowlet in your party and Rockruff reaches, say, level 25, Rockruff will evolve into a Rock/Grass type. The same goes for the other starters (Rock/Fire and Rock/Water). And I know this is a little bit of a stretch, but the breed Rockruff evolves into could depend on its evolution; Rock/Grass could be a Lagotto Romagnolo (due to the breed being used to hunt truffles, a type of mushroom), Rock/Fire could be a Dalmatian (official firehouse dog), and Rock/Water could be a Portuguese Water Dog (do I even need to explain this?) or something similar.
That could be pretty interesting, but one flaw I can see right off the bat is that it means if you started with Rowlett you'd have two grass-types, Popplio two water-types and Litten two fire-types. Unless they went with what Peaswar said.I think Rockruff's evolutions are going to be dependent on your starter (or the one in your party). Screw that, go for broke and give me a wolf made of half-cooled lava for this. Nice mix of rough and smooth lava stone for the body, glowing red eyes and magma spittle.Rock/Fire could be a Dalmatian (official firehouse dog)

it evolves at 28 in the trailer tooSomething I don't think was mentioned here is that Vikavolt is very briefly shown to be Level 41 in the Japanese trailer (thanks GameXplain!). Hopefully this points to it being a late evolver and, thus, having a stat spread that's actually decent.
