It's definitely some kind of overworld sparkle and not a Pokemon.

It's also good to note that it's directly under a tree and near tall grass, so it's likely some sort of item or berry that's accessible by some other path.

it was in 2 parts, joined (or the smaller one vanished), and then it's all gone, tho we see some sparkle afterwards. idk how that's a berry o_o

edit: and it starts with one too, splits in two/second one appears, so ye that's definitely not a berry

Grumble. Buncha Asshats that's what TPCi is.

So, the Magnera standard card was released. They normally have PokeDex info as well as the number of the cards. Well...the PokeDex number was blanked out. So, hoping to find out a lower bound on the Pokemon in Alola isn't going to be possible now.

Spoilers.
Yeah, but now it isn't going to look right with the rest of the standard cards too. Also, there's the bit of me that's a bit irked because, whenever I get that card, it will be sitting in some "indeterminate" location until the game comes out and we determine its actual PokeDex number.

Remember this book?:

It didn't give us Togepi's Pokédex number, so why should TPCi spoil Magearna's now?

I'm sixteen, so I do remember when I was in the target demographic for Pokemon. When I was twelve, I was reading Serebii forums without an account and I had been using Pokemon Marriland since I was in fourth grade. It was mostly just to get sprites for horrific Pokemon PowerPoints, but I did use it. I remember even as far back as third grade my friends told me to google Arcues and the Sky forms of Reggigas, Giratina, and Shaymin (yeah there were some strange rumors going around that Reggigas would get a new form). Back then it was extremely uncommon to see a kid with a cell phone of any kind. Now kids will be on their parents' tablets in Walmart and even have social media. My younger sister has had an Instagram since she was nine. YouTube is also crawling with little kids. Look at how many kids you see walking around playing Pokemon Go. The Internet is used by parents to shut their kids up. It's really sad, and has made it hard for children to have a conversation with their parents or develop patience. The world has changed a bunch in the last few years. The idea that kids won't stumble upon a fan site is absurd. It only takes one kid to search for Pokemon and click on Serebii. They will spread the exciting new Pokemon to everyone in their school/church/neighborhood/daycare. That doesn't even account for the kids who have older siblings who would show them the new Pokemon. I think it would be more unlikely that a child wouldn't see these new Pokemon than anything.

I am really hoping the way they make boxes are still the same. I just want to plug in my SD card and transfer all my Pokemon from OR to Sun and Moon. The game looks really similar to XY, so I hope.

I'm pretty hyped for this new starter exclusive attack thing, at least what it looks like. Seems like they're replacing mega evolutions with something that seems like an actual bond attack and isn't as game breaking. Hoping that other starters like Infernape and Sceptile get it so they'd get buffs as well.

Who ever said megas were being replaced? As multiple people have stated earlier in the thread, megas were one of the most hyped up things about gen 6. A lot of people love the megas, and there's constant speculation and hopes for new megas. Why would the game developers just throw the concept away? There's tons of potential for new megas that they can tap into. Just because we haven't seen any news on them yet doesn't mean we never will. Also, there's no knowing for sure that the special attack is starter exclusive.

Just because they're not talking about it, it doesn't mean mega-evolutions have been scrapped or replaced. I think they're just not bothering with promoting it much because megas are old news at this point and they're to be expected anyways. Hidden Abilities also weren't promoted at all during XY's pre-release announcements, but they made a return all the same and are probably here to stay; I'd say the same goes for Mega Evolution.

Worst case scenario we won't get new megas, but that's about it.

Replace the internet with TV and it's not really all that different from 20 years ago. Kids have always been impatient -- look at the old jokes of kids going "are we there yet, are we there yet, are we there yet" in cars and things.

I have a question. In what stat this super move will be based in order to calculate its damage??? because its will be only one super move and most pokemon specializes in one type of attack.

Which bring my hypothesis: What if they are making the special stat a thing again. Remember that pokemon from the gen 1 games can be port to gen VII and we don't know how the special stat will be ported. And that Special stat can be the one used to calculate the damage of the super moves...

well just a though and i can be wrong, but still if it doesn't then how the super move damage will be calculated??

Honestly I expect the imported mon to just have 0 Sp. D EVs and go 31 IVs, if lucky. I'm more worried about how they'll do IV transfers.

EVs are weird with the difference between Gen 1-2 and 3-6. I feel like they will just 0 them out completely. As for IVs, I can see them doing something akin to 2*DV or 2*DV+1.

We've seen a few level up screens in the E3 demos, so it is 100% confirmed that special is still Special Attack and Special Defense, not combined.

Honestly, we really don't know much about these so called "super moves" to begin with. There could be more than one super move per type, or it could be species based and the symbol just indicates the attack's type. We just don't have enough information to really say anything about them yet.

Assumedly the special move damage will be calculated just like any other move. I fail to see how the way it's damage is calculated is anything different from if, say, Pikachu got a new signature move that was a 100 base power special electric-type move.

While it used DVs (Ranged 0-15) instead of IVs (Ranged 0-31), Gen II got through this issue by using a single DV for both stats. It would be logical to assume the Gen I to Gen VII transfer will give the same IV value to both stats.

Yes, but what type is it : Special ? Physical ? Max between both ? Min between both (joke) ? I think it will be Max between both but we can't be sure...
