Hey guys, check out Jangmo-o's evo's tail. We finally found out what that spear/post thing finally meant.

Project_Mars Hasn't Type: Null been confirmed to be a genderless Pokémon, though? How would it breed with anything not named Ditto?
That is what the leak had stated as to how it got different types. It said the fur pattern/color would be different depending on the typing.

But that is the leak that predicted Oricorio and Alola forms in the first place so you never know...person. I would have said dude, but I don't want to trigger you.
Was that the same one? Iirc it was a 4chan thing. And I'm a dude. He's a dude, she's a dude, 'cus we're all dudes, Hey!

But yeah... this is the news I wanted to hear so, so much since Type: Null was announced. And I wasn't even expecting it to have something like Judgement either! The implications this can have for non-ubers formats is amazing. (And territory not suited for this thread.)

I've been waiting for a pokemon like Null for so long, it essentially is a free space for your team and I love it.

Missing a fairy on your team? Null. Missing a dark on your team? Null.

Things like flower veil can get better use too, just slap a grass type on it!

The new Pokemon really delivered. Type: Null's evo is perfect and has the gimmick many hoped for! Jangmo-o's evolutions are pretty cool too but I definitely need some time to warm up to them. The design for the final form feels kind of overcrowded.

Wow, Type: Null's evolution looks amazing. I was afraid they'd change the design drastically, but just uncovering its glorious head and mane works perfectly. By the looks of it, cheeks, eyes, nose and mane may change color depending on the memory it's holding (they are red in the centerfold and white in the official art).

I would say you are probably correct. And if you look at the bottom near the center you can see three images that appear to show off the differences in types (they each have different colored arrows) right next to a picture of that one team skull guy with the Pokemon and a circle highlighting something on his wrist.

Also: so rose haired pretty boy is Ilima?

The new Dragon/fighting Pokemon appear to be slow and bulky.

I don't know about that - I'm getting strong ornithomimosaur vibes from the final evolution in particular, and those things were fast. It depends on how heavy their scales are (they could be tough but light).

As for how design maps to base stats, well, at this stage that's still anyone's guess.

By the way, Memory seems like a key item rather than something Null holds. Gladion is clearly holding what appears to be it, plus, it just makes sense considering the nature of z-moves being added this generation.

Oh, you're right. It's much easier to spot in Skunch's scan, Serebii posted a smaller one.

I wonder what's up with Rockruff being all over the place. And there appears to be Lycanroc-Sun at the bottom, perhaps they are showcasing Accelroc (but last CoroCoro did that, didn't it?).

inb4 Lillie is Naminé and this game is just a Kingdom Hearts spin-off behind a very elaborate mask. I knew that Aether scientist guy looked like a Xehanort.

I find myself surprisingly underwhelmed by these leaks. Jangmo-o's evos look blah (I hope it's not the pseudo) and I'm not sure what to think of Type: Null's evo.

The amount of bullshit I'm seeing, people are comparing Jangmo-o final evolution to quetzalcoatl...

My Mexican pride hurts man. I feel like if one of the most important part of mesoamerican culture is being raped.

No it's tail doesn't look like any Mexican weapon, be Aztec or Mayan.

No, Mexican EVER used that kind of armor, It Never happened by historical records.

And no, it's head and scale mane aren't related to priests attires nor are related to statues of codex representation of Quetzalcoatl nor Kukulcan, his other name in the southern parts of mesoamerica.

If anything Thundurus T resembles it up to the face mane and it forming a trinity with a jaguar and a hummingbird, but Jangmo-o isn't Mexican based at all...

There is a perfectly fitting Hawaiiann myth yet people are retarded enough to call a plated lizard the feathered snake...

Sorry man, but I spent a bunch of time crafting Macanas and Aztec stone swords replicas in college to know my shit here.

Sigh I feel the American perception of Quetzalcoatl ended up raping my culture, to a point any lizard or dragon is the feathered snake and its Mexican at this point...

I honestly think the Jangmo evo looks more Egyptian than anything, I don't know why, maybe cause I get slight yu-gi-oh vibes from it? I still like it a lot.

I fail to see the feathers, the snake, the Mesoamerican influence or anything related to Quetzalcoatl. U wot internet.

First thing I thought of was Jamaican dragon, mon a samurai with a war fan. Don't really know what its actually based on. Also holy crap its legs are tiny, how is the final evolution not falling over.

Also, Shiruvadi is a hippogriff right, or am I missing something.

Wait - what the hell? It's blatantly wearing samurai plate, like'd been theorised months ago. Bloody hell, people are stupid.

Freaking tell me about it, want to bet on the next retarded poketuber calling Jangmo-o 3 quetzalcoatl, fuck I even bet they will try to be hipsters and call it Kukulkan to look cool for them knowing his less popular name...

Thundurus T already forms a feline, bird and reptile holy trinity of important figures that actually resemble mesoamerican deities, but Jangmo-o 3 is just so Asian it is out of place with the entire Mexican culture.

No Aztec or Mayan warrior wore plates in history, 0, even when they mocked the fallen conquistadores they wore full plates according to the records.

Stone beaded chest pieces where purely ornamental, even with the use of animal fetiches like the beak of a hummingbird in their "war clothing" the Mayan and Aztec warriors wore little protection and relied on skill to even fight against several fully plated swordsman for 2 hours straight and still come on top unscathed or using little armor to throw the equivalent of a two stage spear with brutal accuracy over long distances, heck their stone sword was swing in a full arc without shoulder protection with enough strength to behead a horse and fell down a fully plated Knight to its death... One movement upwards capable of breaking flesh bone and steel and still deliver a fatal blow to the rider...

Im not kidding you all of these are meticulously documented by the priests that followed the conquerors, if it wasn't for the local aid and the diseases that destroyed the population there would have been no real way to win in a feasible fashion.

People often ignore the actually cool stuff from Mexico in favor of their headcanons...

@PocketGamer says “monsters you remember from Red or Gold or Ruby have been reinvented to suit the Alolan environment.”

I would just like to point this out, as it seems to have been overshadowed by the CoroCoro scans.

This doesn't mean Johto and Hoenn Alola forms. But the wording is odd, and does heavily imply it. Why go out of the way to mention Gold and Ruby, when we the audience would have understood what they meant by "Monsters you remember from Red or Blue or Yellow...", or even "Monsters you loved from games past have been reinvented..."? These reviews were meant for the online community who understands what they mean - who would have nostalgia for Red and Gold and Ruby - not for the kids who's only in-depth out-of-game access is through the anime and commercials.

Is Silvadi technically an evolution? By appearances, it looks like it's literally just a permanant form change - in the same way that Mewtwo shedding Giovanni's armor was a "form change". From what it says, it looks like the helmet repressed it's type changing ability and made it awkwardly front heavy and slow, but once the helmet comes off, it won't allow another one to he placed back on.
