Guys, we have an ingame team thread. I'm deleting all such posts in this thread.
What really? well that sucks! oh well. a man can dream.Just got back from the Z-move forum.
According to tests with the original demo, using a Z-move against something immune to it both blocks the Z-move and uses up your crystal. So using Hydro Vortex on a Water Absorb 'mon would both heal the opponent and use up your 1 Z-move.
No idea on accuracy. What really? well that sucks! oh well. a man can dream.
Do you know if Z-moves are effected by accuracy drops or evasion though. Bright powder too! Do they all hit like faint attack and swift, or can they actually miss, and that's you Z-move used up for the game.
it sounds like you can use the QR scanner to get out of dex pokemon but i'm not sure of all the specificsIs there a list anywhere of all of the available 'Mons pre-bank? Is it just the Alolan Dex? Or will there be more 'Mons available post-game/post-Alolan Dex?
Sounds like it's gonna be hard to plan ahead! I suppose patience is a virtue.it sounds like you can use the QR scanner to get out of dex pokemon but i'm not sure of all the specifics
also it sounds like you can use the ultra beasts in the battle tree

I honestly can't emphasize enough how much I love the new Pokedex entries. I honestly think that the Sun/Moon ones blew it out of the park; at least one of the versions adds something new for every Pokemon. They also expand on how Pokemon interact with one another as well as with humans, which is something I feel like was sorely lacking up until these games. I've only gone through the a small fraction of them or so at this point, but there are so many things that help flesh out the universe here and there. Here's just a few highlights:
- Spearow, usually maligned in dex entries, help farmers with pest control; conversely, Diglett, who have up until now only been painted to be an aid to farmers by tilling the soil, can also be pests when they enter unwanted fields to eat crops
- Fearow appear in ancient murals for unknown reasons; on the topic of ancient humans, coastal tribes used Shellder shells to fashion shields and discarded Cloyster spikes for spearheads
- A popular belief is that sighting two Clefable skipping together will lead to a happy marriage; like the Fearow one, it doesn't seem to mean much, but it's a fun tidbit that shows a bit of the culture of the Pokemon world
- The relation between the Machop line and humans, while it has been mentioned before, is really emphasized in these dex entries; other connections with humans appear, llke how Poliwrath populations each have their own swimming styles (ie: breaststroke) and will gladly teach them to humans; Golem shells being used as fertilizer was a logical extension of how they shed periodically, a fact that we already knew; similarly, the Slowpoke entries build upon what we know about their tails and show how Alolans use them in cooking; Grimer and Muk as well as Garbodor numbers are declining because of improved environmental efforts and may even go extinct.
- A lot of stuff about Pokemon relationships in the wild. Shiinotic and Parasect compete for land. Mandibuzz prey on lonely Cubone for an easy meal as well as bones, but Marowak despise them because of this and try to take them down. Crabrawler hunt Exeggcute (and Exeggcute have DNA similar to actual plants and other Grass-types, implying that 1) most Grass-types don't usually have plantlike DNA, otherwise this fact wouldn't be notable and 2) Exeggute are perhaps evolutionary ancestors of other Grass-types). Goldeen mate in the spring, but Seaking mate in the fall. Lumineon nibble on Staryu and Starmie in the ocean depths, but the latter don't mind because they regenerate so quickly; Finneon are easy prey for Pelipper, as are Luvdisc. Mareanie and Toxapex decimate Corsola reefs.
And this all came from the first 120 or so Pokemon plus a handful of others out of what is now over 800; there is simply so much new information. As a final tidbit, I'll leave you guys with this:
Perhaps we've been associating Braviary with the wrong side of American history.
Probs just code stuff. Happy first day by the way.Hi,
Would someone explain how to read "Moon Version Wild Encounters"?
What are "table" and "slot"?
Thanks in advance
So I'm Swaggering wild Pokemon with Unaware Quagsire and their physical attacks aren't doing more damage. I've tried eliminating every variable that could be something I'm messing up, and there's nothing. Unaware still works defensively, this is confirmed.
Hey... I know this question may have been asked way too many times now... but...
Is Eviolite and Unaware nerfed? I don't really want to check in the text data, I want to avoid as many spoilers as possible
Edit: Ninja'd in Unaware.. still wondering about evolite
Yeah, that's what the rumor said... but none of the trustworthy dataminers said something about itI think Eviolite only boosts Defense and Sp. Defense by 20% now.

That would be interesting since they usually dont state the % boosts on these types of itemsI remember seeing an image of the Eviolite in game, and I definitely saw 20%. I'm trying to find it.

And it DOESN'T.
According to Eviolite's description on the game text dump, Eviolite does have the same in-game description/flavor text from XY (
A mysterious Evolutionary lump. When held by a Pokémon that can still evolve, it raises both Defense and Sp. Def.).
There is NO IMAGES, no anything, that proves that Eviolite is nerfed. At least Unaware had an ambiguous flavor text to feed rumors. Eviolite being nerfed is pure bs lol
Confirming Beast Boost buffs the highest true stat.
In the event of ties, the priority is Atk -> Def -> SpA -> SpD -> Spe, where Atk would be the highest priority to buff and Speed would be the lowest.
Yes, that is what I mean.So when you say it buffs the highest true stat, you mean the stat value including EVs (and not just base), and that you can't have multiple things boost simultaneously (which would be broken).
