To be fair this bottle cap thing opens up some previously illegal HP type + IV combinations like HP Fire you always need an Even Speed IV so you could never have max speed + HP Fire you'd be 1 point under but now you can.
Wait, just to double check if i got this right: Pokemon Retain Hidden Power Type when Hyper Trained to all 31s? So This means when SRing for Tapus you just need to look for HP Type and Nature?

yeah, hyper training just raises stats to the max it doesn't change their IVs

So much for legal perfect dittos for breeding.

So you still get the perfect 31 IV's and their benefits but they're not passable with Destiny Knot and keep the original hidden power. I mean, it's kind of disappointing but knowing Gamefreak it could have ended up much much worse. At least we don't have to play a stupid mini game. Still makes it really convenient for perfect legends.

So much for obtaining perfect parents through Hyper-Training, I was really looking forward to that feature but guess I'll have to chain Ditto.

New question that just popped up in my mind: when a wild Pokémon summons an ally, is the ally affected by your Pokémon's ability (e.g., Cute Charm, Synchronize)?

correct so you're Pokemon with 0 IVs in Speed will still have 0 IVs but will have its stat raised to that of its 31 IV equivalent after a bottle cap.
That... Actually helps getting Specific Hidden Powers out A LOT then, since all you would need is that plus the right nature. That's actually pretty neat.

I think this implementation of bottle caps makes sense than changing IVs directly. No more living with imperfect speed in order to get HP Fire / Fighting, though breeding for them is still annoying. RIP rusty bottle caps, you were a great concept but will never see light of day now.

I'm bummed about the nerf to Soul Dew - at least they should boost the Lati twins' signature moves if they're gonna nerf their signature item. Mist ball and luster purge just look sad compared to the shiny new signature moves introduced in the last few gens.

But I'm excited about Dragon Dance on Flygon! Hello shiny-Flygon-I-left-in-Gen-4, time to dust you off so you can kick some in-game butt. Now that GF remembers you exist, maybe you'll get a mega after all. Someday.

Saw this on Neogaf, thought i should share it with you guys:

It's an image confirmation of Hidden Abilities availability in-game (just as Lascelle told me)

This is awesome :)
Interesting mechanic, looking forward to trying it out in a week's time! I do have a couple questions though..

- Do you know if the summoning chance can be amplified by sleep, burn, poison etc. would they stack with low HP + Adrenaline Orbs?
- Does the summoner have to be kept alive for the chain to continue, e.g. can the initial ally in turn summon its own ally if the original's KO'd?
- Is the ally always the same species, or can it be any wild mon found in the area?

Did the data mining provide any information regarding the full list of Pokémons exclusive in each version? I couldn't find it in this thread:

http://www.smogon.com/forums/thread...mine-resource-thread-look-here-first.3586425/

Several medias reported about Passimian, Tortunator, Lycanroc-Midday, Ninetails-A and Buzzwole being in Sun and Oranguru, Drampa, Lycanroc-Midnight, Sandslash-A and Phemeroas being in Moon. However, there are also rumors of Garchomp being in Sun and Metagross being in Moon among a few others. How accurate is that?

I know it's not a proper in-game question, but this bottle cap thing makes me wonder... will we be able to set all IVs to 31 and still have the Hidden Power we want on Showdown? It seems legit since any in-game mon can "virtually" have all stats at 31 and still be able to use any HP. That'd be cool.
