Beer!!

Since I love my beer so much I would like to ask what kinds of beers you guys like! If you don't drink beer, try your best to resist the urge to say "I don't drink beer, but I love my <any other drink>". This thread is about the beers that you like and dislike to drink.

I drink alot of Kokanee and Kokanee Gold, which is a British Columbian Lager. only distributed in Western Canada I think. I also love Sleeman Original Draft, which is a beer hailing from Ontario.

Elsewhere, I love:
Kronenbourg, from France.
Paulaner, from Germany (usually I dislike white beers, but this tastes like MEAT)

There's a bunch of others out there that I love too, rest assured anything American, lite or from Molson Canadian Brewery/Coors is total crap (cept maybe Heineken).

Since Loetke doesn't come on this forum really, I'll repeat his opinions on beer that he told me:
he loves bush and bud lite most of all. He said Corona lite and especailly Corona are "a bit too strong".

Discuss!!

you can get kokanee in ontario but not in quebec =( i miss it.

I like Alexander Kieths (from Nova Scotia) and Tetley's (from britain) As well as Strongbow cider if that counts.

usually..

Have a nice day.

I hate the following: Keystone Light, Natty Lite, Corona, Bud Light. My idea is that they take the alcohol and then filter it through a butthole for no apparent reason before packaging.

the only cheap beer I can stand is Coors Light.

I've never actually had a beer I've enjoyed yet, mostly because I'm a college student and drink whatever is provided at parties (when I buy my own stuff, I go for liquor). Any suggestions on a good tasting beer? I'd like to develop a taste for it.

chaos, which rough area are you located in? It'll help if people know, since beer in western Canada (where I live) is different from beer in, say, Texas.

Becks is one that is universally available and isn't too bad at all.

for a college student i drink very little, when i do its usually just me and some friend sharing some budweisers while gaming it up. im not picky, so long as its not really lite or the opposite

I live in Kentucky. My mom enjoys Newcastle, I don't know what it's like though.

The only way I drink beer is in a snakebite. I have to say I think most beers taste like muck on their own.

The only one I'd remotely consider drinking on its own is Carlsberg.

Well, I've noticed alot of non beer drinkers enjoy guiness...It's dark, but for some reason they love it. I'd suggest Becks- a good German beer that isn't too strong but actually has flavour. Also Heineken is popular, might wanna try that. Those are good beers to get started on, that's for sure!

I like Heineken for general cheapness but otherwise not so much. Grolsch is ok, and I enjoyed Jack Daniels when I tasted them. I also got fucking addicted to Corona when I was partying on vacation one time, but that might have been because there was a yummy lemon in every one of them.

anything by unibroue is usually good; la terrible is my personal favourite. rocheforts are good, too; the ten really sticks out and is absolutely amazing.

i don't drink american beer unless i know it's good or i'm already drunk haha.

If I'm in a proper pub then I tend to drink the local ale, which can vary quite a lot in England to the simply awesome, to ones that taste and smell of farmyards.

Otherwise, in a club/bar or just at home I'll drink a variety of lagers:
Becks, Kronenbourg, San Miguel, Grolsch, Stella Artois, Carlsberg, Leffe to name a few.

I'm a pretty big fan of Blue Moon and being that I go to school in Michigan I like a lot of the Bell's beers, specifically the Oberon. I've noticed that if you can stick an orange in the beer, I'll generally like it.

As for the cheaper shit, Miller Lite or Labatt Blue Light are what I usually drink.

You're a huge asshole, you asshole. That shit makes me want to throw up.

Widmer makes the greatest beer known to man. They're based in Portland, OR, and are very popular locally. http://www.widmer.com/default.aspx

My second choice would have to be Black Butte Porter by Deschutes Brewery in Bend, OR. Almost the perfect beer. http://www.deschutesbrewery.com/BrewPub/OnTap/5832.aspx

mainly Heineken tried a couple other beers but never really liked the flavor as it tasted like shit so I'm more of a Liquor guy

Unibroue is fantastic. I havent tried all their beers but most of them I liked a lot. There are a huge change from the commercial beers in taste and seeing they are brewed pretty much right next to where I live, it gets nice distribution.

La terrible has an insane amount of alcohol in it if I remember well hahaha.

Remarkably, I've developed a taste for Natty Light. Though really, I've yet to come across a beer that I don't enjoy.

There's far too much to experience and accomplish to waste a precious
second drunk or hazed.

I'm glad you feel that way. No better way to spend your "precious seconds" than a Pokemon website in a thread about beer. I hope someday I can be like you.

My favourite is, without question, Waggledance, which has honey in it. Other than that, I enjoy drinking XXXX, and most local bitters that you get on tap in small pubs.

Any suggestions on a good tasting beer? I'd like to develop a taste for it.

Yuengling, Sam Adams Octoberfest (can't get it anymore, it isn't October), Sam Adams Cherry Wheat, Sam Adams Cream Stout, and Becks are what I would suggest. Cherry Wheat and Octoberfest are my favorites :)
