Type Optimisation

Status
Not open for further replies.
Sorry for the delay, work pushed things back.

First of all congrats to the winners, Origin0's Flying/Steel Skarmory and Flying/Poison Crobat, and Solarblade's Flying/Electric Pidgeot. I'll update the first page when I have more time.

There will be a tiebreaker for Water/Flying between LordHelix's Swanna and my Mantine. So 24 hour tiebreaker- put a name down and you can vote for yourself.

In the meantime, let's open the next slate:

Pokemon: Virizion
Type: Grass / Fighting
BST: 91 / 50 / 72 / 120 / 129 / 108 | 570 BST
Abilities
: Justified / Flower Veil (Triage)
New Moves: Horn Leech, Earthquake, Power Whip
Justification/Niche: Virizion gains two new abilities that give it an edge against it's grass type brethren. Triage grants a strong priority move that belongs to a type with no priority, while Flower Veil lets Virizion effortless switch in on Scalds and Thunder Waves, which hamper Tapu Bulk and Kartana. A more specialized stat spread gives respectable attack, and it retains it's superb special bulk.

infernape.gif

Pokemon: Infernape
Type: Fire / Fighting
BST: 75 / 115 / 80 / 114 / 75 / 116 | 570 BST
Abilities
: Blaze / Prankster (Iron Fist)
New Moves: Parting Shot, Knock Off
Justification/Niche: Infernape gains a much needed boost to it's attacking stats as well as it speed, and a new toy in Prankster. Prankster Parting Shot makes Ape a fantastic offensive pivot, able to fire off an attack and then Parting Shot out of an unfavorable matchup, softening the blows for its switch-in. Knock Off complements it's STAB moves and allows for further annoyance of the opponent. Both Physical and Special sets are viable, and mixed could also be run.

ledian.gif

Pokemon: Ledian
Type: Bug / Fighting
BST: 90 / 135 / 90 / 30 / 120 / 105 | 570 BST
Abilities
: Justified / Wonder Skin (Tinted Lens)
New Moves: Close Combat, Lunge, Volt Tackle
Justification/Niche: Ledian is supposed to be a superhero Bug, and if that doesn't sound like a Bug / Fighting type I don't know what does. It gets quite an upgrade to it's previously pitiful stats, new STAB, as well as three new abilities. Justified takes advantage of the bulk and typing, while Tinted Lens allow Ledian to spam its STABs. Wonder Skin is a niche option, but it's pretty cool. Volt Tackle incurs recoil but also provides coverage for things like Toxapex and Celesteela.

Solarblade's Mantine

New Stats: 70 / 140 / 70 / 120 / 70 / 100 | BST 570
Abilities: Blaze / HA: Reckless
New Moves: U-turn, Wild Charge, Roost
Justification/Niche: WIP
Sample moveset:
Scarfed (Blaziken) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Reckless
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant / Naive Nature
- High Jump Kick
- Flare Blitz
- Brave Bird / Wild Charge / Earthquake
- U-turn

Sashed (Blaziken) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Reckless
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Flare Blitz
- High Jump Kick
- Brave Bird / Roost / Wild Charge

Voting for my Mantine as well, so Mantine will be the Water/Flying winner

flareon.gif

Pokemon: Flareon
Type: Fire / Fighting
BST: 65 / 130 / 60 / 95 / 105 / 115
Abilities: Flash Fire, Contrary, Magic Guard
New Moves: Fire Lash, Earthquake, Hi Jump Kick
Justification/Niche: It already has Superpower. Add Contrary and you have a recipe for success since it lacks boosting options. Magic Guard is interesting for hazard immunity as well as having safe Flare Blitz/Hi Jump Kicks.

I'll vote for Mantine. Thanks to everyone for voting for Aggron, I can finally rest happy knowing I don't need to try making him a Fire/Fighting type this time :]

Will add my submissions later.

I will lie if Rock/Flying Aggron would be not the most unorthodox thing in Type Optimization yet. I will like to see how Aggron's new playstyle and new typing go.

Anyways, here's my submissions. Been a long time that I haven't participated.

darmanitan.gif

Pokemon: Darmanitan
Type:
Fire.png
Fighting.png

New Stats: 105 / 140 / 90 / 40 / 90 / 105 | BST 570
Abilities:
Sheer Force / Mold Breaker | Zen Mode
New Moves: Close Combat, Wild Charge, Knock Off
Justification/Niche: Fixing up Darmanitan's stats so that its bulk is much more bearable and allows it function as a wallbreaker or a Bulk Up setup sweeper. Sheer Force allows it to boost most of its moves, but Mold Breaker may be preferable to penetrate some other type of walls and Mimikyu. Close Combat is added so that Darmanitan have more useful Fighting-type move to use, and Wild Charge serves as a counter against most Water-type, while Knock Off is against Psychic and Fire-resisting Ghost.

beautifly.gif

Pokemon: Beautifly
Type:
Bug.png
Fighting.png

New Stats: 90 / 70 / 90 / 120 / 100 / 100 | BST 570
Abilities:
No Guard / Wonder Skin | Sheer Force
New Moves: Focus Blast, Thunderbolt, Thunder
Justification/Niche: We don't have that many Special-oriented Fighting-types, with only Psychic/Fighting Reuniclus being used as such. So why not another one in this case? Beautifly have a surprising good amount of coverage moves, including Psychic and Shadow Ball, and along side Thunderbolt, they can be complimented well with Sheer Force + Life Orb. Another good option is No Guard, allowing Beautifly to spam away the Focus Blast and Thunder without much worries. That said, Flying-type can pose a serious threat without Thunder(bolt) but if so, not even Zapdos and Type-Optimized Pidgeot want to switch into a Sheer Force boosted Thunderbolt, especially after a Quiver Dance.

sceptile.gif

Pokemon: Sceptile
Type:
Grass.png
Fighting.png

New Stats: 90 / 100 / 70 / 105 / 85 / 120 | BST 570
Abilities:
Moxie / Sniper | Unburden
New Moves: High Jump Kick, Nasty Plot, Surf
Justification/Niche: Taking pages from OU's famous Hawlucha, Sceptile is refreshed to be able to do either a Physical or Special Set-up Sweeping, with a one-time but almost unparalleled speed, with only Priority moves being the solution against this situation (or a wall with a phazing move). Just remember that like Hawlucha, Sceptile is not made to take a hit too hard, so it is recommended to use it as mid-game or late-game sweeper, as Flying-types will threaten its life.

pangoro.gif

Pokemon: Pangoro
Type:
Fighting.png
Dark.png

New Stats: 95 / 129 / 88 / 69 / 86 / 103 | BST 570
Abilities:
Sheer Force / Mold Breaker | Technician
New Moves: Mach Punch, Knock Off, Close Combat
Justification/Niche: Simply fixing Pangoro's Speed so that it can sweep or use Parting Shot more properly. Mach Punch for obligatory Fighting-type priority, Knock Off is a more commendable Dark-type Physical STAB, and Close Combat as Hammer Arm will hamper its newfound Speed. It got so many different coverage moves that Iron Fist will not be enough, so Sheer Force + Life Orb will be quite a deadly combination with all of this. As Dark-type can already handle Ghost-type, Scrappy is not truly necessary, so it got replaced by Technician to boost Mach Punch, Bullet Punch, Bulldoze, Aerial Ace, Rock Tomb, Payback, Storm Throw and Power-Up Punch.

Type: Fire / Fighting
BST: 75 / 115 / 80 / 114 / 75 / 116 | 570 BST
Abilities
: Blaze / Prankster (Iron Fist)
New Moves: Parting Shot, Knock Off
Justification/Niche: Infernape gains a much needed boost to it's attacking stats as well as it speed, and a new toy in Prankster. Prankster Parting Shot makes Ape a fantastic offensive pivot, able to fire off an attack and then Parting Shot out of an unfavorable matchup, softening the blows for its switching. Pokemon: Ledian
Type: Bug / Fighting
BST: 90 / 135 / 90 / 30 / 120 / 105 | 570 BST
Abilities
: Justified / Wonder Skin (Tinted Lens)
New Moves: Close Combat, Lunge, Plasma Fists
Justification/Niche: Ledian is supposed to be a superhero Bug, and if that doesn't sound like a Bug / Fighting type I don't know what does. It gets quite an upgrade to it's previously pitiful stats, new STAB, as well as three new abilities. Justified takes advantage of the bulk and typing, while Tinted Lens allow Ledian to spam its STABs. Wonder Skin is a niche option, but it's pretty cool. Plasma Fists fits in with Ledian's punching motif, while also providing coverage for things like Toxapex and Celesteela.

Solarblade's Mantine
Plasma Fists is a signature move of the Mythical Pokemon Zeraora, so you can't give it to Ledian. Sorry.

pinsir.gif

Pokemon: Pinsir
Type: Bug / Fighting
BST: 65 / 130 / 125 / 55 / 90 / 105
Abilities: Contrary, Technician, Triage
New Moves: Leech Life, Mach Punch, Drain Punch
Justification/Niche: It learns a lot more Fighting moves than Bug moves, and is a counterpart to Heracross, so why not make it a Fighting type? A change in abilities leads to more fun options as well. You can go for Contrary to boost with Superpower/Close Combat. Or have Technician Storm Throw, Mach Punch, Bulldoze, Bug Bite or Rock Tomb. Or have priority Drain Punch/Leech Life with Triage.

absol.gif

Pokemon: Absol
Type: Dark / Fighting
BST: 65 / 100 / 105 / 130 / 60 / 110
Abilities: Mega Launcher / Rattled / No Guard
New Moves: Aura Sphere,Vacuum Wave, Focus Blast
Justification/Niche: Time for a specially-based fighter. Power up your Pulse moves with Mega Launcher! Dark Pulse + Aura Sphere is nice coverage, and I guess it has Water Pulse lol. Absol has nice special coverage, so you can even go with No Guard with Focus Blast, Fire Blast, Blizzard or Thunder. Vacuum Wave for a good special priority user. Rattled is pretty nice with the type, it resists Ghost and Dark and is neutral to Bug, so getting a Speed boost from common moves of this type like U-turn would be useful. Attack has been lowered but it is still decent enough to have a surprise Sucker Punch or Superpower for random pink blobs.

chesnaught.gif

Pokemon: Chesnaught
Type: Grass / Fighting
BST: 88 / 132 / 132 / 54 / 100 / 64
Abilities: Triage / Bulletproof / Flower Veil
New Moves: Drain Punch, Horn Leech, Close Combat
Justification/Niche: Have priority STAB/healing with Drain Punch/Horn Leech. Bulletproof is always a solid ability while Flower Veil makes it even more tanky by ignoring status effects, which allows you to focus on other roles like Spike-stacking or boosting with Swords Dance/Belly Drum.

Fighting/Grass: koista's Virizion
Fighting/Dark: Samtendo09's Pangoro

Fairy / Ground / Electric / Flying

Well might as well close the voting, thanks G-Luke for voting

Congrats to the winners, Stitch98's Fighting/Fire Blaziken, Samtendo09's Fighting/Bug Beautifly and koista12's Fighting/Grass Virizion.

Not a lot of votes so again, another 24 hour tiebreaker for Fighting/Dark. In the meantime, Bug slate time (I flipped a coin between Steel and Fairy)

Don't really like double posting but bumping this and may be extending this so we have submissions. Also, voting for my entry so Dark/Fighting Absol it is.

galvantula.gif

Pokemon: Galvantula
Type: Bug/Electric
BST: 78 / 77 / 75 / 110 / 100 / 130
Abilities: Compound Eyes, Regenerator, Prankster
New Moves: Quiver Dance, Ice Beam, Stealth Rock
Justification/Niche: Compound Eyes for its more accurate Thunder niche (I decided not to give it No Guard because it wouldn't like to be hit by no-miss Stone Edges). The other two abilities are mostly for support- Regenerator gives it longevity when using Volt Switch while Prankster allows priority Sticky Web/SR or Quiver Dance if going for a boosting set. Ice Beam for Boltbeam coverage.

yanmega.gif

Pokemon: Yanmega
Type: Bug/Ground
BST: 86 / 56 / 96 / 126 / 91 / 110
Abilities: Tinted Lens, Speed Boost, Moldbreaker
New Moves: Quiver Dance, Ice Beam, Earth Power
Justification/Niche: Moldbreaker to ignore Levitators and continue spamming Earth Power. Ice Beam to hit the Flying types.Tinted Lens is always a good offensive ability while Speed Boost can be combined with Quiver Dance to go really fast.

ledian.gif

Pokemon: Ledian
Type: Bug/Flying
BST: 70 / 115 / 110 / 35 / 110 / 130
Abilities: Tinted Lens, Magic Guard, Aerilate
New Moves: Extremespeed, Brave Bird, Lunge
Justification/Niche: Make Ledian great. Magic Guard for SR immunity and Life Orb synergy. Tinted Lens is always a good offensive ability to make up for STABs that are easily walled by things like Steels/Rocks. Aerilate for a non-recoil physical Flying attack, and priority Extreme Speed (and it has access to Swords Dance!). Bug/Flying has a really good resistance to Fighting/Grass/Bug, so good defenses can take advantage of this. Lunge can make it survive more physical hits.

Will do the rest later

BST: 85 / 130 / 100 / 70 / 90 / 95 | BST: 570 (+20 HP, +5 Atk, +15 SpA, +20 SpD, +10 Spe)
Abilities: Hyper Cutter / Mold Breaker / Moxie (HA)
New Moves: Megahorn, Spikes, U-turn
Removed Moves: N/A
Justification/Niche: Swords Dance and Moxie sweeper, offensive Spikes setter. Mold Breaker can also be used to allow its STAB Earthquakes to hit Levitate Pokemon.

Pokemon: Eelektross
Type:

BST: 85 / 125 / 80 / 125 / 80 / 75 | BST: 570 (+10 Atk, +20 SpA, +25 Spe)
Abilities: Levitate / Strong Jaw (HA)
New Moves: Leech Life, Volt Tackle, Bug Buzz
Removed Moves: N/A
Justification/Niche: Coil sweeper. Strong Jaw provides a strong Thunder Fang if recoil is not desired, though Volt Tackle is much stronger.

Pokemon: Butterfree
Type:

BST: 80 / 65 / 75 / 115 / 135 / 100 | BST: 570 (+20 HP, +20 Atk, +25 Def, +25 SpA, +55 SpD, +30 Spe)
Abilities: Compoundeyes / Magic Guard (HA)
New Moves: Hurricane, Focus Blast, Aura Sphere
Removed Moves: N/A
Justification/Niche: Quiver Dance sweeper, special tank. Compoundeyes gives Hurricane and Focus Blast viable accuracy, while Magic Guard prevents Stealth Rock and status damage.

escavalier.gif

Pokemon: Escavalier
Type:
bug.gif
steel.gif

BST: 105 / 135 / 105 / 80 / 105 / 40 | BST: 570 (+35 HP, +20 SpA, +20 Spe)
Abilities: Swarm / Overcoat / Defiant (HA)
New Moves: Gyro Ball, U-turn, Superpower
Removed Moves: N/A
Justification/Niche: Tanky Swords Dance sweeper. Gyro Ball works well with its low speed, and it can also function as a slow bulky pivot with U-turn.

Thanks for the submission Origin0, now we can have a voting slate.

durant.gif

Pokemon: Durant
Type: Bug/Steel
BST: 68 / 125 / 116 / 40 / 101 / 120
Abilities: Magnet Pull / Regenerator / Tinted Lens
New Moves: U-turn, Heal Order, Earthquake
Justification/Niche: Fast Bug/Steel with actual recovery to make use of it's good defensive typing. This spread makes it the fastest Bug/Steel and has the most Sp Def. Can also be a fast pivot with U-turn, with Regenerator healing. It also has a workable Sp Def stat for Regenerator Assault Vest sets. Earthquake to delete Fire types and other Steels. Magnet Pull can also be interesting, since it has Earthquake to deal with most Steel types and do 4x effective damage against Magnezones. Tinted Lens makes up for poor super effective coverage and the lack of boosting moves.

I kind of want to do voting but with low participation I think I'll just get rid of the no self-votes rule. Or hopefully more people who haven't submitted can also vote.

Use this template and try to have a vote for each one so we have less tiebreakers.

Bug/Ground: Someone's Pokemon
Bug/Electric: Someone's Pokemon
Bug/Flying: Someone's Pokemon
Bug/Steel: Someone's Pokemon

Voting ends in 48 hours

Next slate will be Grass, so you can also vote for type combinations to go with Grass. Grass/Ice will also be in this slate, as one of two Ice type combos left, so vote for the 3 other types. Types already done are Electric, Fire, Rock, Psychic, Bug, Flying, Water, Dragon, Dark, Ground, Fairy and Fighting.

Bug/Ground: Origin0
Bug/Electric: Origin0
Bug/Flying: Origin0
Bug/Steel: Solarblade

Dream_Grassium_Z_Sprite.png

Grass/Ice, Grass/Steel, Grass/Poison, Grass/Ghost
Submissions close at the 17th of November

Pokemon: Lurantis
Type: Grass Ice
BST: 80/110/80/110/70/120
Abilities: Snow Warning, Tinted Lense, Contrary
New Moves: Ice Hammer, Blizzard, Ice Beam
Removed Moves: None
Justification/Niche: Lurantis currently is a poor man’s Serperior which is relegated to PU due to its inability to abuse Leaf Storm. With slightly boosted offensive stats, Lurantis becomes an effective mixed Sweeper. It either runs like a more offensively oriented Abomasnow or a less predictable Serperior. Its stats arent amazing, but they are serviceable enough, and certainly make more sense for it than its current ones (Look at that 45 speed on this graceful predator and explain it).

Pokemon: Trevenant
Type: Grass Ghost
BST: 105/130/100/50/100/40 (535 BST)
Abilities: Harvest, Triage, Drought
New Moves: Solar Blade, Spiky Shield
Removed Moves: None
Justification/Niche: Trevenant can now be a Triage Sweeper like Comfey or Revenankh. Priority on Horn Leech is something it always enjoys. In addition, Trevenant has access to Drought, which lets it abuse Solar Blade.

Pokemon: Tangrowth
Type: Grass-Poison
BST: 105/110/125/110/55/50 (555 BST)
Abilities: Thick Fat, Tangling Hair, Regenerator
New Moves: Baneful Bunker, Toxic Spikes, Acid Spray
Removed Moves: None
Justification/Niche: Tangrowth is now able to play as an offensively oriented Toxapex. Compared to Toxapex, Tangrowth is less passive and is able to hit an opposing pokemon hard using its 110 Attack or Special Attack. It is also an even more viable user of the Assault Vest than it used to be.

Pokemon: Carnivine
Type: Grass-Steel
BST: 74/100/120/90/130/56 (570 BST)
Abilities: Levitate, Merciless, No Guard
New Moves: Anchor Shot, Flash Cannon, Iron Tail
Removed Moves: None
Justification/Niche: Now no mere Venus Flytrap, Carnivine is now a living Bear Trap. It is a useful defogger with it’s resistance to Rock Type, but it can also serve as a reasonable wall thanks to it’s access to synthesis and high defenses. It leans towards a being a physical attacker thanks to its access to No Guard boosted Iron Tails and Power Whips. Merciless is mostly there for flavor, and Levitate makes Carnivine even more useful as a hazard remover. Carnivine can also run a vested set, although this is to capitalize on an advantage rather than to patch up a weakness.

Pokemon: Abomasnow
Type:

BST: 87 / 115 / 75 / 118 / 70 / 110 | BST: 570 (-3 HP, +23 Atk, +25 SpA, -15 SpD, +10 Spe)
Abilities: Snow Warning / Technician (HA)
New Moves: Power Whip, Leaf Storm, Freeze Dry
Removed Moves: N/A
Justification/Niche: Swords Dance sets with Technician can bust through most defensive teams easily with Bullet Seed + Icicle Crash. Specs sets can utilize Snow Warning Blizzards to punch big holes in teams as well. Even mixed sets are formidable with their dangerous coverage options, like Focus Blast, Earthquake, dual STAB and even priority.

decidueye.gif

Pokemon: Decidueye
Type:
grass.gif
ghost.gif

BST: 78 / 122 / 75 / 58 / 125 / 102 | BST: 570 (+15 Atk, -32 SpA, +25 SpD, +32 Spe)
Abilities: Overgrow / Cursed Body (HA)
New Moves: Leech Seed, Taunt, Stone Edge
Removed Moves: N/A
Justification/Niche: Y'all know CAP? If you do, you probably know Pajantom. If you do, then you know why this is terrifying. If not, a quick run down. This mon + defensive cores = gg wp. Decidueye can quite simply 6-0 stall teams that are not adequately prepared. Its no push over against offense either, with STAB priority and strong attacks to back it up. Its not without faults tho. Its defense leaves much to be desired, its Pursuit bait, and is hard countered by Alolan Persian and Stuntank. Still, Decidueye is here to show you all that Spirit Shackle isn't just a strong STAB attack.

jumpluff.gif

Pokemon: Jumpluff
Type:
grass.gif
steel.gif

BST: 85 / 95 / 85 / 65 / 105 / 135 | BST: 570 (+10 HP, +40 Atk, +15 Def, +10 SpA, +10 SpD, +20 Spe)
Abilities: Chlorophyll / Steelworker / Infiltrator (HA)
New Moves: Light Screen, Earthquake, Meteor Mash
Removed Moves: N/A
Justification/Niche: You can't do better as a defensive Grass/Steel type than Ferrothorn. Give it Flash Fire and its quite frankly broken. Same goes for Kartana, who is banned in almost every OM that gives it a smidgen more power. So I decided to go another route - the most annoying Pokemon alive. Jumpluff has a bunch of annoying strats like SubSeed, Strength Sap (yikes!), Sleep Powder and Memento that are just DYING to be utilized. With an amazing defensive typing, blazing speed and good bulk, Jumpluff can go for plenty different sets on a team. It can even go Steelworker + Choice Band and cheese opponents with respectable power.

vileplume.gif

Pokemon: Vileplume
Type:
grass.gif
poison.gif

BST: 85 / 90 / 105 / 130 / 110 / 60 | BST: 570 (+10 HP, +10 Atk, +20 Def, +20 SpA, -+20 SpD, +10 Spe)
Abilities: Effect Spore / Chlorophyll / Rain Dish (HA)
New Moves: Focus Blast, Knock Off, Trick
Removed Moves: N/A
Justification/Niche: While its not Ammonguss, Vileplume is definitely no softie. 85/105/110 bulk is great, checking a large variety of threats in the meta. With a 130 SpA, it can pack a PUNCH, running Specs and making itself known on TR and bulky teams.

Abilities: Prankster, Infiltrator, Trace (HA)
New Moves: Recover, Will-O-Wisp, Nasty Plot
Justification/Niche: Whimsicott is back! Basically same premise of an offense defogger that is versatile.

Prankster sets can pivot on to many strong physical attackers and burn them, while nasty plot sets can pull of a sweep thanks to good ghost/grass/fairy coverage. Trace allows it to put in work vs defensive teams as well thanks to taunt + tracing magic guard/bounce, flash fire and whatnot

Abilities: Suction Cups, Intimidate, Filter (HA)
New Moves: Aromatherapy, Gunk Shot, U-Turn
Justification/Niche: Cradily is now a much better special wall thanks to its excellent typing + filter, has great utility options in aromatherapy, stealth rocks and u-turn. It can also work as a physical wall thanks to intimidate and good defense

And for a defensive mon its surely hard to switch into with ground/rock/poison/grass coverage. It can also run its meme set of curse suctions cups much better now thanks to poison immunity

LordHelix thanks for the submission, but Aurorus is already Ice/Ground and Seviper is Poison/Dragon. There is a list in post #3 if you want to check if others are already done as well.

Pokemon: Abomasnow
Type: Grass/Ice
BST: 90 / 135 / 65 / 105 / 65 / 115 | BST: 570
Abilities: Dazzling / Skill Link / Triage
New Moves: Icicle Spear, Horn Leech, Drain Punch
Justification/Niche: Grass/Ice is a very fragile typing and is better offensively, so I went a more offensive stat spread. You can be a Skill Link abuser with Bullet Seed/Icicle Spear or be an offensive priority Triage user with Horn Leech/Drain Punch. Replaced Snow Warning as it isn't the best Hail setter with that typing, and we now have more Hail setters in Aurorus/Froslass/Jynx. Instead, Dazzling patches up it's weakness to Bullet Punch/Mach Punch.

Pokemon: Gogoat
Type: Grass/Poison
BST: 123 / 100 / 106 / 50 / 86 / 105
Abilities: Thick Fat / No Guard / Triage
New Moves: Gunk Shot, Power Whip, Heal Bell
Justification/Niche: Physically bulky Grass/Poison. Triage allows for priority Horn Leech but also Milk Drink and even Heal Bell for team support. Or go Triage/Assault vest. It can even absorb Toxic Spikes and cure the team's Poison! No Guard is for no-miss Gunk Shot/Power Whip/Rock Slide. It does attract burn but again, it has Heal Bell to counteract this.
