What do you do against (Sandstorm) Brightpowder SubChomp?

Pretty simple question. I hate how hard this guy is to take down based on luck. He can just come in at any point after Ttar has got SS up and set up. Having a weather changer is nice and all but by the time you bring him in and get rid of the SS chomp has come in, set up a sub, and is probably dancing in your face. So how do you deal with it?

It's quite easy. You set up Toxic Spikes and you send out a Skarmory. Chances are, it's 2 moves are EQ+DC, therefore you can sit there and stall, set out random Spikes and then WW it away so when it comes back again, it'll be taking more damage.

However, if you're not running that kind of team, keep attacking it regardless, then at the end, that's when Gliscor comes in to AA. At that point, the max, absolute max that Chomp should have had is +2 attack. You're good to go to kill it at 1% or 25%.

Yes, I suppose Champ can do massive damage to a Chomp with Ice Punch, but what noob uses hax items in the first place?

Not much.It really has alot to do with luck and multiple swords danced dragon claws will hurt ANY pokemon regardless if it's resisted or not.

Pray that I hit it. It's complete bullshit and while you probably hit more than you miss the times that you do miss and lose because they are behind a sub and +4 attack are bitter.

I think SandVeil+Brightpowder are really dumb. But luckily, I run hail, so that tends to fix the problem quite easily, haha :]

If there's no hail out, I leechseed/toxicstall.

Yeah its allowed, but why would you use it? Do you feel manly when the opponent misses due to Sand veil?

If Garchomp had any other ability (like Hyper Cutter) I would use that, I just feel bad when my Garchomp dodges stuff like Ice Beams or Dragon Claws.

its a part of the game, so why not use it. sure its considered a noob combo, but like ultimate said, its effective.
That's like saying "hey, I think I'll sleep my opponent's entire team" Sleep is also "a part of the game", but pretty much everyone plays by sleep clause. Most people also play by hax item clause, rendering your argument void. I think that's the word I want.

Generally I switch to my phazer and try to get rid of it as it Swords Dances...but you wouldn't believe the amount of times that Roar has missed. Did he dodge the soundwaves or something?

If that's not possible I just do my best to get his sub down and revenge kill him...but you wouldn't believe the amount of times Ice Beam missed.

It's in the game. What makes it "noob"?

Seriously, this is smogon. We don't play the "game." The game has OHKO moves, DT, a lack of sleep clause and a general disregard for competitiveness. We play the "metagame" where broken mechanics are put to one side and attempts to maximise luck are stamped out in order to see who is the best battler.

tl;dr...Fuck Brightpowder Garchomp.

Yeah but if there is no Sleep Clause I'm sure as hell not going to wait and see if my opponent sleeps all my Pokez, I'm going to do it to him first. If people want Hax Item clause, ask for it.

I don't use Bightpowder Chomp personally. But if I ever felt I needed to, I sure would. I have no doubt it is annoying as hell to play against, but so is fucking Breloom. Have a bitch about it, it really does help.

PS Mega Mewtwo I just noticed me in your quote and I thought I should take this opportunity to point out the blatant sarcasm in what I said.

true, but not everyone lets someone sleep their whole team. :?

im not saying use it, im just saying dont bitch about an ability being abused. thats like saying dont slap choice band on Slaking because then the monster attack he was given will be to high. :?

BAN CHOICE BAND SLAKING IT IS BAD FOR THE METAGAME

Last time I checked, this was Stark Mountain, not Firebot, where that kind of stuff isn't allowed. And anyway, CB Slaking is severely hampered by Truant, and you can always predict it right to avoid excessive damage. No amount of prediction is going to force an attack to hit Garchomp, it all comes down to luck. With just one miss, if your Phazer is down, you're going to get swept. by +2 attack rampaging Garchomp.

I use my:

Machamp @ Leftovers
Adamant | No Guard
252 Atk, 129 Def, 129 SDef
18/31/31/5/25/20
~Ice Punch
~Stone Edge
~Dynamicpunch
~Earthquake

I beat Garchomp at its own game. Always works.

Um BP garchomp is super noob. Who uses Brightpowder? Anyway, skarmory owns it. Make sure you have shed shell incase they back it up with magnezone
