Event Discussion

From now until November 30th, (possibly December 1st) all players can obtain various Ash cap Pikachu (aside from the Kanto/Johto cap and of course the Partner cap) through the following codes:

LETSGOPIKACHU06 - Hoenn cap
LETSGOPIKACHU09 - Sinnoh cap
13LETSGOPIKACHU - Unova cap
LETS17GOPIKACHU - Kalos cap
LETSGO19PIKACHU - Alola cap

These match the ones from last year. Serebii doesn't mention if only one code can be used per game or if multiple codes can be used, (or if you can use any if you received a cap Pikachu through last year's distributions) but the distributions are for all four Alola games USUM only.

Yay for a second chance for Ash cap Pikachu collectors, I guess?

Edit: BlackoutSLM has confirmed that one can redeem all five codes on the same save file.

Huh, wonder why no Original cap? Sure, they had a separate giveaway where everyone got one, but there could be people that missed it.

Anyhoo, I got Kanto, Sinnoh, and Partner so will be nice to get the others. Though if you can only get one I guess I'd go for, hmm, Ash during XY was alright.

All codes can be redeemed on the same file. I just did that.

Huh. Serebii's page just says "including Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon", but his event database confirms the distributions are just for those games. It also says the distributions end November 30. So... yeah. Punch in those serial codes ASAP if one cares at all about these capped Pikachu.
 
I am currently looking for unused european Zeraora code. Do any of you have a free one? On the side note, shiny Mimikyu from the Spooky cup is now available.

This was for HK a they only got kanto and they did that kanto cap last year so we missed the code :(
Also everyone checking serebii I suggest looking at bulbapedia to actually look up the information for events as they have a much more accurate database for events
 
Is spike eared Pichu not tradeable or just not transferable (you can use wifi with gen 4 again so I am curious in case I get another HGSS (I want to know if it can be traded to another HGSS game))

It's not tradable at all, like the ORAS special Pikachus.

I still think they had plans to release it at some point... consider that since games start getting developed some years before they launch, it's very possible they did the entries for her on the fly while doing other gen 7 entries, and then when the "launch event" got cancelled for whatever reason they didn't see any reason to remove it.

They may have been planning to release it alongside Pokemon Z, but I guess they decided to scrap it last minute for the 20th Aniversary in favor of SM. The fact that Thousand Arrows and Waves and Light of Ruin were in XY makes me strongly believe that there was going to be a Z version, since Ice Burn and Freeze Shock had similar situations in BW.

Was just about to post that.

My guess is that Eternal Flower Floette and Original Color Magearna (who also has its own dex entries) were both going to be Event Giveaways for those games.

Granted, they might still release original color Magearna before the gen 8 games are released... I'm not holding my breath that they will, but still.

Unless they have Magearna show up in the anime and go into its backstory there (though considering Magearna is an artificial Pokemon and there only seems to be one in existence probably not), the time to release the Original Color one would have been for the movie it was in.

Worldie (I think they just built their own server)
So now you can use gen 4 and 5 wifi functions again Kurona
There are hacks but those are events their server injects into your game (like downloading the events when they happened (as this is smogon and I hate hacks I will not be explaining how to get these))
