Forcing luck isn't one of the best strategies, I think you're better passing a 2x attack boost, that's the same boost you get with Crit.Hit.
 
No, I generally just run enough EV's to hit 280, thus outspeeding the neutral nature base 90ers. There's next to nothing that nestles between 280 and 284...Modest Rotom, I guess? :\
 
The Wailord analysis said that it could learn Selfdestruct. How or when does it learn it? Is it an event move? Thanks

@josh-ua: For me, I like Jirachi. There are also good alternative ones, namely Vaporeon, Blissey and Togekiss.
 
i need a double battle to get smeargle to sketch a couple of egg moves.

anyone tell me where to find one in-game? i can't remember facing more than a couple and i'm not walking through every route looking.
 
Ok I noticed that every Gyrados/Feraligatr I've seen uses Waterfall as its physical STAB move.

However, there is Aqua Tail, which is 10 BP stronger. Why don't people use Aqua Tail?
 
Aqual Tail has inferior accuracy and no flinch rate. It's a no-brainer.

How do I get rid of that little white trim on the bottom and right of my avatar? The original image doesn't have any white on it, but when I upload it to Smogon, it goes funny. Help! :(

I may be a little late, but The Restaurant is perfect for Sketching/Checking Hidden Power. Don't need VsSeeker and low level opponents.
 
@Yoko: I would have quoted but you didn't write anything down. Anyways Waterfall is the better choice 10 base power isn't much and the accuracy and flinch rate more than make up for it. And yeah so far I haven't faced a situation like that....
 
weighted base power for aqua tail and waterfall, respectively;

90*.9=81 BP
80*1.0=80 BP

you'd trade 20% flinch for 1 bp on average?
 
I haven't been to smogon in a while, and since I see no announcement concerning my question, I figured this is a good place to ask: why has the search function been disabled on the forums (bandwidth?) and is this permanent? I would search for a related topic but...oh crap, I can't...
