Pet Mod Clean Slate: Micro

cradily.gif

Name of the Pokemon: Cradily
Roles: Special Wall, Status Deterrent, Spinblocker
Type:
Grass.png
/
Ghost.png

Abilities: Cursed Body / Natural Cure / Wonder Skin
Stat Distribution: 94 / 61 / 72 / 91 / 119 / 43 (480 BST)
Movepool Additions: Shadow Ball, Destiny Bond, Hex, Leech Seed, Astonish, Night Shade
Movepool Removals: Ancient Power, Bulldoze, Earth Power, Earthquake, Mud-Slap, Rock Polish, Rock Slide, Rock Tomb, Smack Down, Stealth Rock, Stone Edge
Custom Elements: Astonish: special Ghost-type Fake Out clone
Justification: A special wall that walls Crobat and Ludicolo without Ice Beam. In addition, it can also take out offensive threats like Type: Null and Dugtrio with Destiny Bond, and annoy other defensive pokes using the combo of SubSeed. Think Toxic will defeat this? Think again, because Natural Cure means that your Toxic will be useless once this switches out. However, its lower physical bulk leaves it open to physical attackers like the aforementioned Type: Null. Its typing also comes with a slew of weaknesses to various offensive types like Fire, Ice, Flying and Dark. Finally, its low speed leaves it vulnerable to Taunt users.

blastoise.gif

Name of the Pokemon: Blastoise
Roles: Physical Wall, Mixed Wall, Hazard Control, Hazard Setter, Phazer
Type:
Water.png
/
Steel.png

Abilities: Filter / Water Veil / Competitive
Stat Distribution: 98 / 73 / 118 / 81 / 70 / 60 (500 BST)
Movepool Additions: Iron Head, Stealth Rock
Movepool Removals: Water Spout
Custom Elements: Whirlpool: now a special Water-type clone of Dragon Tail / Circle Throw
Justification: Blastoise gives Clean Slate a pokemon which can not only set hazards, but remove them as well. It also has great physical bulk, as well as a great defensive ability in Filter letting it deal with Dugtrio. Whirlpool also allows it to act as a phaser against Type: Null. However, its attacking stats are not the best, and even with Filter, its mediocre special bulk leaves it vulnerable to Electric-types like Rotom and Galvantula and other powerful special attacks, though it can wall Ludi without FB.
Resubs cuz I’m too lazy and I’m on mobile

poliwrath.gif

Name of the Pokemon: Poliwrath
Role(s): Physical Wall, Rain Attacker
Type:
Water.png
Fighting.png

Abilities:
Swift Swim | Regenerator
Stat Distribution: 105/85/125/80/50/60 | 505
Movepool Additions: Drain Punch, Superpower, Aqua Jet, Liquidation
Movepool Removal: Belly Drum
Justification: A Tangrowth like Pokémon. Poliwrath has a very high physical bulk with a low special bulk and medium offense. It can burn the opponent with Scald as well as revenge kill Type:Null and Dugtrio-Alola with Vacuum Wave. It struggles against every special attacker and but can beat every physical attacker, including offensive Poliwrath. Speaking of it, Poliwrath can be a good Pokémon to pair with Ludicolo in a rain team.
Physical Wall
Poliwrath @ Leftovers / Rocky Helmet
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Lax Nature
- Scald
- Vacuum Wave
- Drain Punch / Circle Throw
- Toxic

Rain Attacker
Poliwrath @ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Liquidation
- Drain Punch
- Aqua Jet / Superpower
- Power-Up Punch

Name of the Pokemon: Ferrothorn
Role(s): Special Wall, Hazard Setter (SR, Spikes)
Type:
Grass.png
Steel.png

Abilities:
Iron Barbs | Heatproof
Stat Distribution: 50/95/65/30/165/15 | 420
Movepool Additions: Spiky Shield
Justification: A nerfed Ferrothorn, not a lot to add. It has great match up against our special attackers but its physical bulk is very bad. Also it isn't a so good hazard setter in this format since Crobat completely counters it.
Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Heatproof
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Leech Seed
- Gyroball / Knock Off / Power Whip
- Spikes / Stealth Rock
- Spiky Shield / Knock Off / Thunder Wave

torterra.gif

Torterra
Roles: Physical Wall, Sun setter, Stealth Rock,
Type: Grass / Dragon
Ability: Rock Head | Drought (HA)
Stats: 95 / 87 / 125 / 78 / 50 / 45 | BST: 480
Movepool Additions: Draco Meteor, Head Smash,
Movepool Removals: Swords Dance,
Reasoning: Very physically bulky wall that can take a +2 Z-Move from Type: Null and hit back with Superpower. The physical bulk and high-powered moves are balanced out by the low SpD and 4x Ice weakness. Loses to Galvantula and offensive ( Ice Beam ) Ludicolo, beats Type: Null and Dugtrio. Rock Head is the main ability for good offensive presence. Using Drought trades Wood Hammer and Head Smash for a buffed Synthesis and somewhat weaker Solar Beam, but more importantly supports a potential sun archetype.

torkoal.gif

Torkoal
Roles: Special Wall, Mixed Wall, Stealth Rock, Rapid Spin, Cleric,
Type: Fire / Ground
Ability: White Smoke / Shell Armor | Filter (HA)
Stats: 72 / 71 / 101 / 92 / 142 / 22 | BST: 500
Movepool Additions: Aromatherapy, Haze
Movepool Removals: Shell Smash, Eruption
Reasoning: Deals with Rotom and Galvantula very well, and has a balanced matchup vs. Dugtrio/Rotom hazard cores. Its SpD is through the roof and its Def isn't bad, but it lacks reliable recovery so it can be eventually overwhelmed. Its typing in combination with Filter is really solid, with only a 3x Water weakness and a 1.5x Ground weakness. It pairs well with Ludicolo, who resists Ground and 4x resists Water, and can deal with Rain Dance Ludicolo.

dragalge.gif

Name of the Pokemon: Dragalge
Roles: Special Wall, Hazard Setter (Toxic Spikes)
Type:
Poison.png
Dragon.png

Abilities: Poison Point / Poison Touch / Hydration
Stat Distribution: 71/85/90/87/123/44 (500 BST)
Movepool Additions: Pain Split, Clear Smog
Justification: Dragalge is a solid physical wall and utility mon, being able to take hits from Galvantula, Crobat, and Ludicolo. Its ability in Hydration allows it to have semi-reliable recovery in rain, and Poison Touch can be used to spread status among the opposing team. However, Dragalge's lack of offensive presence and recovery hurts it significantly. It can also be worn down by Ludicolo's Ice Beams.

baltoy.gif

Name of the Pokemon: Baltoy (Eviolite compatible)
Roles: Physical Wall, Hazard Setter (Stealth Rock), Hazard Control (Rapid Spin), Trick Room setter?
Type:
Ground.png
Psychic.png

Abilities: Levitate
Stat Distribution: 70/70/85/70/70/55 (420 BST)
Movepool Additions: Recover
Movepool Removals: Calm Mind
Justification: Baltoy is a good switchin to both Type:Null and Choice Band Dugtrio-Alola due to its high physical bulk. It also can support the team with moves like Rapid Spin, dual screens, Trick Room, and Stealth Rock. However, it is forced out by Ludicolo and Galvantula, and it can't use dual screens to the best of its ability due to having to use Eviolite. Additionally, its passivity can allow it to be spinblocked or setup on.

castform-snowy.gif

Name of the Pokemon: Castform-Snowy
Role(s): Special Wall, Special Wallbreaker Rain Abuser, Hazard Control(?)
Type: Ice/Ghost
Abilities: Cloud Nine / Water Bubble
Stat Distribution: 110/70/70/70/110/70 (500)
Movepool Additions: Roost, Whirlwind, Night Shade, Magic Coat
Movepool Removals: Hydro Pump
Justification: A good defensive Ice-type Pokémon?! Thanks to Water Bubble, maybe yes. Castform has anything a special wall could ask for except typing, with those added moves and natural access to Scald (with double power), Thunder Wave, Clear Smog, Hex (now STAB) and Defog. The weakness to Rock is unfortunate, but it still functions well defensively. Easily beaten by Type: Null and Alolan Dugtrio, but can hold its own against offensive Ludicolo, Galvantula and Rotom. Also makes for a good Ludicolo teammate, resisting Bug and Poison for it, while Ludicolo resists Steel.
I can also see it used offensively and as a Rain abuser depending on how the metagame develops. With SpA investment, Castform's Scald hits about as hard as offensive Ludicolo's Surf. While Castform has no Swift Swim, it offers Hurricane, Thunder, Blizzard and/or Hex instead.
tornadus.gif

Name of the Pokemon: Tornadus
Role(s): Physical Wall, Mixed Wall, Cleric
Type: Flying
Abilities: Cloud Nine
Stat Distribution: 111/69/125/79/115/81 (580)
Movepool Additions: Oblivion Wing, Heal Bell, Aura Sphere
Movepool Removals: U-Turn, Defog, Hurricane, Focus Blast, Superpower, Hammer Arm, Grass Knot, Crunch, Dark Pulse
Justification: Extremely simple and beefy wall leaning towards the physical side. It can take hits like no tomorrow and cure status for the team, but is pretty passive otherwise. Tornadus can Toxic the opponent, or Knock Off their item and use its STAB Oblivion Wing to recover a bit of HP, that's about all it can do. It is also held back by Rock weakness and its most reliable forms of recovery being Oblivion Wing, Leftovers or RestTalk.

Name of Pokemon: Cryogonal
Roles: Special Wall, Hazard Control, Weather (Hail)
Type: Ice
Abilities: Levitate | Snow Warning
Stat Distribution: 80 / 50 / 30 / 95 / 135 / 100 (490 BST)
Movepool Additions: None
Movepool Removals: Blizzard
Justification: A very straightforward special wall that can counter Ludicolo very well with Freeze Dry and Hail shutting down rain. Rapid Spin is also always great, as hazard control is looking pretty weak as it stands. Honestly not much more to say about it- It beats most special attackers, loses hard to physical attackers.

braviary.gif

Name of Pokemon: Braviary
Roles: Physical Wall, Defensive Pivot, Hazard Control, Offensive Pivot
Type: Flying/Normal
Abilities: Big Pecks / Intimidate | Regenerator
Stat Distribution: 120 / 100 / 85 / 57 / 57 / 86 (505 BST)
Movepool Additions:
Movepool Removals:
Bulk Up, Brave Bird
Justification: Tornadus-Therian style physical wall/pivot that can pretty reliably combat Type:Null and especially Dugtrio with good bulk+superpower. Offensive variants with maximum speed and Z-Fly can also exert reasonable offensive pressure, and both variants can easily defog versus our setter, Dugtrio.

Movepool Distribution: Gunk Shot, Sludge Bomb, Toxic Spikes, Baneful Bunker, Knock Off
Movepool Removals: Draco Meteor, Dragon Pulse, Defog, Head Smash, Fire Blast, Flamethrower, Surf
Justification: A nice specially defensive option to pair with Crobat, with great SpD, Roost for recovery, Taunt and Levitate granting it an immunity to its sole weakness.

Abilities:
Telepathy | Prankster
Stat Distribution: 90/80/90/50/50/50 | 410
Movepool Additions: Lick, Shadow Ball, Body Slam, Return, Frustration, Substitute, Hidden Power, Toxic, Rest, Sleep Talk, Recover, Will-O-Wisp, Topsy-Turvy, Astonish, Hyper Voice, Hyper Beam, Giga Impact, Double-Edge, Shadow Sneak, Night Shade, Seismic Toss
Movepool Removal: Destiny Bond
Custom Elements: Lick: now a ghost type clone of Body Slam.
Justification: Thanks to Prankster WoW and Topsy Turvy, Wobbufet is able to counter most physical attackers. Also Wobbufet's typing allows it to easily take on Type:Null and Crobat. However Wobbufet has struggles with most Special Attackers and is very susceptible to Poison and Pursuit.
Wobbuffet @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
- Recover
- Will-O-Wisp
- Topsy-Turvy
- Lick / Body Slam / Seismic Toss

Name of the Pokemon: Empoleon

Type:
Water.png
Steel.png

Abilities:
Torrent | Lightning Rod
Stat Distribution: 80/60/80/80/105/60 | 465
Movepool Additions: Roost
Justification: Empoleon has a great defensive typing which allows it to take on every Special Attackers: Galvantula, Rotom and Ludicolo. Empoleon brings a lot of utility to its team thansk to Scald, Defog and Stealth Rock as well as reliable recovery and toxic immunity. It can also block Volt Switch thanks to Lightning Rod. However Empoleon is weak to physical attackers such as Dugtrio-A and Crobat.
Empoleon @ Leftovers
Ability: Lightning Rod
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Roost
- Defog / Stealth Rock
- Toxic
Wob: This seems like a worse rotom mostly- I don't see much of a need for 2 priority Willo ghost-types when Wob doesn't achieve anything that Rotom wouldn't
Empoleon: I don't feel comfortable at all about taking a top tier specially defensive typing and slapping a weakness-immunity on it. Not to mention the physical attackers (outside of Crobat who probably needs to be offensive to 2HKO) fear a scald so it virtually has a singular counter in offensive crobat that can come in on it. Otherwise you have to run something dumb like Fight Z work up Ludi or bring in Duggy on a revenge kill. Very very very OP imo

Movepool Additions: Oblivion Wing, Heal Bell

Justification: Extremely simple and beefy wall leaning towards the physical side. It can take hits like no tomorrow and cure status for the team, but is pretty passive otherwise. Tornadus can Toxic the opponent, or Knock Off their item and use its STAB Oblivion Wing to recover a bit of HP, that's about all it can do. It is also held back by Rock weakness and its most reliable forms of recovery being Oblivion Wing, Leftovers or RestTalk.
Castform: Very low chance of this being used as a wall, it's simply too appealing offensively with Water Bubble and isn't really too reliable of a Ludi counter with Cloud Nine regardless because of hazard chip (and Water Bubble also kills off a weakness, woof)
Torn-T: With the current meta this thing blows- Needs to run some meme like HP fighting to do anything to the physical stuff it should counter and can't do anything with that bulk (no pivoting or hazard control). I guess it checks Ludicolo but that's about it, seems like it would only work on stall. Probably would find usage but just looks awkward to build around

Torterra
Roles: Physical Wall, Sun setter, Stealth Rock,
Type: Grass / Dragon
Ability: Rock Head | Drought (HA)
Stats: 95 / 87 / 125 / 78 / 50 / 45 | BST: 480

Anaconja wins special wall with his Dragalge:
dragalge.gif

Name of the Pokemon: Dragalge
Roles: Special Wall, Hazard Setter (Toxic Spikes)
Type:
Poison.png
Dragon.png

Abilities: Poison Point / Poison Touch / Hydration
Stat Distribution: 71/85/90/87/123/44 (500 BST)
Movepool Additions: Pain Split, Clear Smog
Justification: Dragalge is a solid physical wall and utility mon, being able to take hits from Galvantula, Crobat, and Ludicolo. Its ability in Hydration allows it to have semi-reliable recovery in rain, and Poison Touch can be used to spread status among the opposing team. However, Dragalge's lack of offensive presence and recovery hurts it significantly. It can also be worn down by Ludicolo's Ice Beams.

Well now that we know that specs Dragalge is low-key the best wallbreaker now (special dragon resists? Ha!), let's move on to the next slate:

Slate 4: 2 Setup Sweepers

manaphy.gif

Name of the Pokemon: Manaphy
Roles: Set-up Sweeper, Rain Abuser
Type:
Water.png
/
Fairy.png

Abilities: Hydration / Water Veil / Sap Sipper
Stat Distribution: 88 / 75 / 72 / 70 / 80 / 90 (475 BST)
Movepool Additions: Moonblast, Disarming Voice
Movepool Removals: Ice Beam, Shadow Ball, Psychic, Energy Ball, Grass Knot
Justification: A Tail Glow sweeper that can instantly blast through defensive cores thanks to a potent offensive typing that hits every pokemon at least neutrally. Sap Sipper makes it a great Ludicolo and Torterra counter, as their best STABS to hit Manaphy with get completely nullified. In addition, if paired alongside Ludicolo, Hydration becomes a great option for it to recover its HP fully like in vanilla. Unfortunately, its other moves apart from STABS only include Signal Beam, Hidden Power, and other weak shit. Its bulk is also not the best, and its speed is somewhat low for sweeping, leaving it weak to foes like Galvantula, Rotom, and offensive Ludicolo as well as being revenge killed by Type: Null's Bullet Punch.

flareon.gif

Name of the Pokemon: Flareon
Roles: Set-up sweeper, Wallbreaker, Choice Band, Choice Scarf, Priority, Offensive Pivot
Type:
Fire.png
/
Normal.png

Abilities: Flame Body / Overcoat / Reckless
Stat Distribution: 90 / 100 / 75 / 55 / 60 / 90 (470 BST)
Movepool Additions: Swords Dance, Blaze Kick, U-turn
Movepool Removals: Superpower
Justification: An SD sweeper that distinguishes itself from Type: Null due to its Fire-typing and Reckless, as well as higher speed. Reckless works well in combination with its two main STABs, Flare Blitz and Double-Edge, which cover every pokemon neutrally so far. Fire-type also means that Rotom's wisp is shit against this. Alternatively, if you wanna preserve your HP, the weaker but safer Blaze Kick is a neat STAB as well. U-turn can also be nice on a Choice set to deal with bulky pokes. Despite its power, however, Flareon is heavily reliant on recoil moves for its main power, and that in combination with entry hazards and other chip damage can lead to it dying quickly. Its defensive typing is also awful, leaving it weak to pokes like Dugtrio-A (if it doesn't hit it on the switch with Fire STAB), Crobat, and offensive Ludicolo and low special bulk in general means it is vulnerable to other pokes like Galvantula, Rotom's Electric moves, and Choice Specs Dragalge. Lastly, its speed is mediocre for sweeping, leaving it outsped by threating attackers like Galvantula and Rotom. (FYI, if run with Drought support, good luck trying to switch in to this)
EDIT: switched Jigglypuff to Flareon to not have Rotom spam wisp over every phys. attacker

whiscash.gif

Name of the Pokemon: Whiscash
Role(s): Dragon Dance sweeper, Offensive Rocker
Type:

Abilities: Hydratation / Oblivious | Poison Heal
Stat Distribution: 100/105/60/30/80/60 | 435
Movepool Additions: Fish Slam, Stealth Rock
Movepool Removals: Bounce, Blizzard, Ice Beam
Custom Elements: Fish Slam: Water-type facade clone.
Justification: Whiscash is a defensive user of Dragon Dance. Thanks to its great bulk and Poison Heal, it can easily set up at least one Dragon Dance on Pokémon such as Crobat or Dragalge and wallbreak thanks to its high Attack stat. However Whiscash has a terrible speed letting it outspeed by every scarfer at +1 as well as Dugtrio-A and Ludicolo under Rain. Whiscash struggles to break through Torterra and defensive Ludicolo which can stomache boosted hits from Whiscash. Also Grass coverage from Galvantula and Hex from Rotom deals a lot of damage to it.
Dragon Dance
Whiscash @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

- Dragon Dance

Flying.png

Abilities: Swarm | Triage
Stat Distribution: 60/50/60/80/60/90 | 400
Movepool Additions: Oblivion Wing, Nasty Plot
Movepool Removals: Psychic
Justification: Beautifly is a very effective cleaner since it has the strongest priority in the meta and access to Nasty Plot to boost its SpA. Only few Pokémon avoid the 2HKO from Beautifly's +2 Oblivion Wing, however Beautifly struggles to set up due to its fraility, bad defensive typing and quad-weakness to SR. Checks to +2 Beautifly include Rotom, Type-Null and Dragalge whereas setup fodder are no Dragon/Rock move Torterra and Circle Throw less Crobat. Beautify is also incredible for offensive team looking for a reliable revenge killer to Rain Dance Ludicolo.
Nasty Plot
Beautifly @ Sky Plate / Life Orb
Ability: Triage
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 Spe

- Nasty Plot
- Oblivion Wing

golisopod.gif

Pokemon: Golisopod
Roles: Set-up Sweeper, Priority, Hazards, Physical Wallbreaker, Physical Wall
Type:
Bug.png
Fighting.png

Abilities: Emergency Exit | Slow Start
Stat Distribution: 75 / 115 / 140 / 64 / 70 / 46 (510 BST)
Movepool Additions: Shell Smash, Submission, Wake-Up Slap, Karate Chop, Hammer Arm
Movepool Removals: Knock Off, Aqua Jet, Liquidation, Waterfall, Scald, Razor Shell, Surf, Water Pulse
Justification: An extremely strong sweeper that has to virtually kill everything in one turn, because if it doesn't emergency exit is likely triggering and phazing Golisopod out. Standard First Impression revenge killer sets are still possible, as are cheesy bulky sets that utilize slow start (if you're insane). Countered by Rotom and Crobat, checked by Galvantula, outsped by Dugtrio if not Jolly. If this turns out too weak/inconsistent, Mach Punch is an easy buff to allow it to check Type: Null (as a sidenote, imagine this thing alongside Trapinch).

murkrow.gif

Pokemon: Murkrow (Eviolite Compatible)
Roles: Set-up Sweeper, Stallbreaker, Offensive Pivot. Hazard Control
Type:
Dark.png
Fairy.png

Abilities:
Early Bird / Pickpocket | Berserk
Stats: 65 / 101 / 45 / 86 / 45 / 118 (440 BST)
Movepool Additions: Nasty Plot, Play Rough, Moonblast, Dazzling Gleam, Baby Doll Eyes
Movepool Removals: Drill Peck, Brave Bird
Justification: A very fast yet frail sweeper than can boost on both ends- Z-Mirror Move for physical attack and Nasty Plot on the special side. Also, as the first dark type, it's the only physical attacker not invalidated by Rotom. Also has stallbreaking capabilities with Eviolite, Taunt, and Roost alongside Calm Mind/Nasty Plot to deconstruct stall. Beaten by anything that can hit it back, and Type: Null's Bullet Punch.

pinsir.gif

Name of the Pokemon: Pinsir
Role(s): Set-up Sweeper, Hazard Setter (Stealth Rock), Choice Band, Choice Scarf
Type: Bug/Fighting
Abilities: Swarm / Mold Breaker / Moxie
Stat Distribution: 65/115/100/55/85/85 (500 BST)
Movepool Additions: Megahorn
Movepool Removals: Earthquake
Justification: Pinsir is a powerful wallbreaker due to its good offensive typing, good abilities in Mold Breaker and Moxie, and access to Bulk Up as well as Stealth Rock. However, it is beaten by Crobat, who walls its STABs and can easily Defog the rocks away.

roserade.gif

Name of the Pokemon: Roserade
Role(s): Set-up Sweeper, Hazard Setter (Toxic Spikes)
Type: Grass/Poison
Abilities: Natural Cure / Poison Point / Technician
Stat Distribution: 60/70/75/115/105/90 (515 BST)
Movepool Additions: Calm Mind
Movepool Removals: Spikes
Justification: Roserade is a solid Calm Mind sweeper, especially since its STABs are able to break through Ludicolo. It can switch into Crobat and Torterra and threaten them with its fairly wide movepool such as Extrasensory and Hidden Power Ice, but many mons can also switch into it, such as Type:Null offensively and Dragalge defensively.

Type:

Abilities: Flash Fire / Limber | Flower Gift (HA)
Stats: 80 / 75 / 65 / 100 / 85 / 100 | 500 BST
Movepool Additions: Moonblast, Play Rough, Power Gem, Moonlight, Extreme Speed
Movepool Removals: Energy Ball, Hypnosis, Psyshock
Justification: Ninetales is a powerful sweeper that can set up on the likes of Rotom and defensive Galvantula, and kill physical walls quite easily with its coverage. Fire Blast and Moonblast are strong STABs, especially when boosted by Nasty Plot. Flash Fire and Limber let it deal with priority status moves from Rotom, while Flower Gift gives it much better setup opportunities in the sun. Dragalge handles it pretty well, and Unaware Ludicolo shuts it down.

pupitar.gif

Pokemon: Pupitar ( Eviolite Compatible )
Roles: Physical Sweeper ( Dragon Dance, Rock Polish, Curse ), Status Absorber, Stealth Rock setter
Type:
Rock.png
Ground.png

Abilities: Shed Skin | Guts (HA)
Stats: 90 / 110 / 100 / 50 / 60 / 60 | 485 BST
Justification: With very good Eviolite-boosted bulk, Dragon Dance, and the great EdgeQuake STAB combo, Pupitar has opportunities to pull off late game sweeps. The status-based abilities and Ground typing means it will not be stopped by priority status from Rotom. Its typing lets it beat Crobat, Dragalge, and Rotom pretty easily, but it will be walled by the defensive Grass types.

Movepool Additions: Moonblast, Hyper Voice, Boomburst, Disarming Voice
Movepool Removals: Ice Beam, Shadow Ball, Psychic, Energy Ball, Grass Knot
Justification: A Tail Glow sweeper that can instantly blast through defensive cores thanks to a potent offensive typing that hits every pokemon at least neutrally. Liquid Voice makes Boomburst a potent attack, even more than Surf.

(FYI, if run with Drought support, good luck trying to switch in to this)
EDIT: switched Jigglypuff to Flareon to not have Rotom spam wisp over every phys. attacker
Manaphy: Liquid Voice Boomburst at +3 is probably only stomached by Ludicolo- Tail Glow alone with that stat spread is pretty great, I really don’t think it needs the best STAB attack in existence alongside that.

Flareon: More of a wallbreaker than sweeper but it’s fine

whiscash.gif

Name of the Pokemon: Whiscash
Role(s): Dragon Dance sweeper, Offensive Rocker
Type:
Water.png
Ground.png

Also Grass coverage from Galvantula and Hex from Rotom deals a lot of damage to it.

beautifly.gif

Name of the Pokemon: Beautifly
Role(s): Nasty Plot Wallbreaker, Priority user, Cleaner, Specs
Type:
Bug.png

Modest Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Oblivion Wing
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
- Giga Drain

Choice Specs
Beautifly @ Choice Specs
Ability: Triage
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Oblivion Wing
- U-turn
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
- Giga Drain / Shadow Ball
Whiscash: I can’t imagine this thing will run Dragon Dance- It sounds much better as a defensive rocker with naturally good offensive presence thanks to fish slam. Also swampert part 2
Beautifly: Triage is one of those phenomenal abilities that you can’t really gauge the effectiveness of until it’s been playtested, so I’ll let it fly. There is a high chance it just decimates offense tho, or it could blow. You never know with this ability

pinsir.gif

Name of the Pokemon: Pinsir
Role(s): Set-up Sweeper, Hazard Setter (Stealth Rock), Choice Band, Choice Scarf
Type: Bug/Fighting
Abilities: Swarm / Mold Breaker / Guts
Stat Distribution: 65/115/100/55/85/85 (500 BST)
Movepool Additions: Megahorn
Movepool Removals: Earthquake
Justification: Pinsir is a powerful wallbreaker due to its good offensive typing, good abilities in Mold Breaker and Moxie, and access to Bulk Up as well as Stealth Rock. However, it is beaten by Crobat, who walls its STABs and can easily Defog the rocks away.

roserade.gif

Name of the Pokemon: Roserade
Role(s): Set-up Sweeper, Hazard Setter (Toxic Spikes)
Type: Grass/Poison
Abilities: Natural Cure / Poison Point / Technician
Stat Distribution: 60/70/75/115/105/90 (515 BST)
Movepool Additions: Calm Mind
Movepool Removals: Spikes
Justification: Roserade is a solid Calm Mind sweeper, especially since its STABs are able to break through Ludicolo. It can switch into Crobat and Torterra and threaten them with its fairly wide movepool such as Extrasensory and Hidden Power Ice, but many mons can also switch into it, such as Type:Null offensively and Dragalge defensively.
Pinsir: Did you mean Moxie over Guts? Because you have guts in the abilities list but mention Moxie in the justification. Regardless Guts would likely kill its sweeping potential (Z-Me First is a crazy tech) and would make it lean more towards wallbreaker. Otherwise good.
Roserade: Might be hard to justify Calm Mind but no spikes does ease the slot 4 competition

ninetales.gif

Pokemon: Ninetales
Roles: Special Sweeper ( Nasty Plot, Calm Mind ), Sun Abuser
Type:
Fire.png
Fairy.png

Ninetales: Already discussed, good
Pupitar: seems pretty good. Guts is pretty much always better than Shed Skin but that’s not really an issue. Funny thought would be tanking Ludicolo’s scald, getting burned, and then being able to 2HKO thru unaware thanks to guts

hitmontop.gif

Pokemon: Hitmontop
Roles: Physical Sweeper ( Swords Dance ), Hazard removal
Type:

Abilities: Intimidate / Technician | Steadfast (HA)
Stats: 55 / 110 / 95 / 35 / 75 / 90 | 460 BST
Movepool Additions: Bullet Seed, Swords Dance, Leaf Blade
Movepool Removals: Stone Edge, Earthquake, Bulldoze

Pokemon: Archeops
Roles: Special Sweeper ( Rock Polish ) Stealth Rock setter
Type:

Flying.png

Abilities: Early Bird (Just Because)
Stats: 75 / 73 / 65 / 117 / 81 / 77 | 488 BST
Movepool Additions: Air Slash, Power Gem, Surf
Movepool Removals: Heat Wave, Earth Power, Focus Blast
Justification:

beartic.gif

Pokemon: Beartic
Roles: Set-up sweeper
Type: Ice/Fairy, physical attacker
Abilities: Snow Cloak / Mold Breaker
Stats: 80 / 97 / 81 / 67 / 97 / 43 | 465 BST
Movepool Additions: Shift Gear
Movepool Removals: Bulldoze, Stone Edge, Rock Slide, Swords Dance
Justification: Powerful set-up sweeper that uses Shift Gear, decent STABs, and a variety of coverage to be effective. Low starting Attack and Speed make Beartic rely on getting a Shift Gear up, but once it does, it can outspeed the unboosted metagame and break past a variety of pokemon including Torterra, Dragalge, Galvantula, and other pokemon depending on the coverage it chooses. Superpower can hit Dugtrio and Type: Null on the switch, and Night Slash is an option to hit Rotom. Mold Breaker allows Beartic to better deal with Ludicolo, Galvantula, and possibly Dragalge. Beartic is walled by Crobat, which it can't set up on due to Circle Throw, and is kept in check by Type: Null's Bullet Punch. Rotom can also cause cripple it with priority Will-o-wisp, and Dugtrio beats it if Beartic hasn't set up yet.
