Trump Jr’s book tour is also a reminder of the right’s limitless hypocrisy. One of the big themes of Triggered is, to quote Trump Jr: “A victimhood complex has taken root in the American left”. But let’s recap the situation shall we? Trump Jr (who describes himself as “hyper-rational” and “stoic”) has just published a book complaining that he is being silenced by the left. He is touring the US talking about how he is being silenced. He has been invited on primetime TV to talk about being silenced. And he is complaining about being silenced to his 4 million followers on Twitter. Maybe I am missing something, but that doesn’t exactly sound like being silenced to me.

And it is not just Trump Jr who loves to play the victim. A delusional victimhood complex is at the very heart of rightwing ideology. Immigrants are invading and stealing all the jobs. Jews are taking over the world. #MeToo is intent on destroying innocent men’s lives. Gays are destroying family values. The right never see themselves as racists or bigots; they see themselves as victims who are fighting back against the imminent extinction of western civilisation. Forget being stoic or silenced; they are constantly triggered and they never shut up."

The Trumpkids know full well what they're doing. They know they're not victims. They're just very savvy business people latching onto a rise in hard right ideologies to make a few more bucks. But it should be painfully obvious to even those within the hard right trenches that the Trumpkids are as phony as phony gets. These are pampered, elitist slimeballs parading themselves as rEaL aMeRiCaNs. But, uh, my redneck neighbor, pls explain what values you share on a socio-economic level with the denizens of ivory NY towers?

I feel like I can address some more information since I am Venezuelan and it just makes me laugh everytime I see the media saying that Maduro's doing all this protests, which is actually not true, obviously. According to them, what happens in Ecuador, Haiti and Chile are violent protests controlled by Maduro himself, while the protests that occur in Hong Kong are done with a bit of aggressive nonviolence.

Information on Ecuador - October 14, 2019.
Ecuador has been going through protests and strikes by different social movements triggered by the government's decision to raise fuel prices. This policy was implemented thanks to an agreement signed with the International Monetary Fund (IMF). This agreement caused the economy not only to fall into a recession but increase in poverty. Meanwhile large firms and powerful economic groups have benefited enormously. Although the government has agreed to eliminate the decree while in a met with different social movements who were protesting, they have decided to reapply it in the near future under a new name.

Information on Haiti - October 24, 2019.
Haiti has been also going through protests with citizens taking to the streets over government corruption and fuel shortages.

Information on Chile - October 28, 2019.
Chile is still being ruled under a constitution made by the dictator Pinochet himself, where all public services are privatized. This is the reason why people got tired of Piñera's neoliberal government and ask for a constituent assembly to reform the current constitution. - A 2017 UN report found that the richest 1% of the population earns 33 percent of the nation’s wealth. That helps make Chile the most unequal country in the OECD, slightly worse than Mexico - Piñera himself is a billionaire, one of the country’s richest men. I should also comment that the pension system was changed by José Piñera (elder brother of president Sebastián Piñera), during Augusto Pinochet's dictatorship, on November 4, 1980 from a PAYGO-system to a fully funded capitalization system run by private sector pension funds, this being also one of the things why people are protesting.

All these countries are going through massive non-violent protests which are being repressed by their governments. Meanwhile in China's aggressives non-violent protests a Hong Kong man was set on fire in a horrific act of violence after he chased down a group of masked protesters.

Information on Bolivia - November 11, 2019.
Surprisingly in a country where most of the population is of mixed origin (Mestizo) - Recent updates about ethnic groups in Bolivia shows that Mestizos are about 68% almost 70% of the entire population while Indigenous are a 20% and Whites being a minority with only a 5% - is going through a wave of racist violence encouraged by a far-right movement called Comité Cívico de Santa Cruz (Civic Committee of Santa Cruz) against its own indigenous population. Branko Marinković and Fernando Camacho's (Well-known christian fascist paramilitary) are the main leaders of such movement. A movement which the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) denounced, as part of its joint programme with the World Organisation Against Torture (OMCT) as responsible for the attacks, harassment, threats and killings of human rights defenders and peasant leaders fighting impunity or for a more equitable distribution of land, having promoted them as a terrorist group.

These "White" guys have just overthrow the democratic government of president Evo Morales after not only calling their recent election loss an electoral fraud but after threatening indigenous citizens, social leaders and government ministers, including the president himself, burning their homes and kidnapping their relatives. The armed forces and police decided not to act and instead called for the president's resignation in favor of the fascist movement. Now they have a self-proclaimed president, who wasn't elected by anyone (something similar to what's going on here in Venezuela).

Too bad there are unethical practices in the current media to the point of not giving any visibility whatsoever to such important protests in these countries. I suppose they have more important interests to defend than democracy?.

It's like me saying I think you progressive libtards are such massive victims by sucking off of people who actually earned their money from big bad misogynist white male society, but that's not what I'm saying. It's incredibly bigoted, and frankly you're not gonna be convincing anyone to change their minds that way. I think the language is really disgusting.

Although, the victim complex goes both ways though, I can acknowledge that to some extent, and I think we should make it a point to call it out whenever it occurs.

If you truly believe a billionaire's son is genuinely concerned about your or anyone's welfare when it doesn't simultaneously line his own pockets then I don't know what else to say other than I'm sorry you got duped, and I'm sorry you're offended on his behalf.

And if that makes me a bigot for calling the Trumpkids "phonies" then I'll gladly wear the badge, even if that's not how bigotry works.

Then educate me then, how does bigotry work? Last I heard, Bigot means: a person who is intolerant toward those holding different opinions. I'd like to say your recent message appeared very intolerant of those who support the president. Not to mention, I don't see the issue with being patriotic about your own country. I do think that they have reason to rebuke their recent ridicule. It's been overboard in my opinion.

Also, Myzozoa, I don't like white supremacists either. At least I'm tolerant of those who are quite racist towards white people (i.e. half of the leftists I meet). Doesn't mean I like it, but free country, you have every right to bash white male misogynist society, that's your opinion. I'll still call you out.

I just find it sad that you believe all Trump supporters are racist. That's like me saying all leftists support Antifa. It's a really cruddy stance to apply that to everyone. Perhaps you should sit down face to face with someone, because frankly Id think most of us would agree we want the best for the country, albeit different ways of doing it.

The title of the article says it all. Looks like our not-elected "interim" president doesn't really get tired of calling people to take the streets every month without having any attendance at all. Some people even say there's going to be a coup in which the armed force would be involved, something similar to what just happened in Bolivia. Posting this because I bet that Guaido's "march" will have massive coverage on the international media if anything happens as always.

What would happen if a person declared himself as interim president of the US, for example, in the middle of a Washington square without any legality? I ask because that's what just happened here. I'd be in jail for sure. I am really sorry for the people who still believes in this guy's word.

I disagree (debate me bruh). How are you does supposed to reach conclusions in your organization without debate? Then again. If ur watching an "intellectual debate" for fun, you probably should have your head examined
 
no you have group meetings with minutes and action items stop being obtuse that isnt a debate
 
they have a conversation without, for example, an opening monologue or strict timing of remarks typical of a debate. in addition, in the case of your meeting, the audience of the discourse is the participants, unlike in a debate where the audience is inactive. im obv making a distinction between common sense 'discourse' and 'debate'. i guess ur tryna debate that distinction or something but i cant imagine the motivation for denying the distinction, especially as it is only really tangential to the article i posted
