(Little) Things that annoy you in Pokémon

Okay, so Heavy-Duty Boots block all entry hazard because of their thick soles letting Pokemon touch the ground with protection from stuff on the ground. Why does it work against Stealth Rocks if it hits flying targets too.

Meta-wise, it would make Sneaky Pebbles way too broken to being immune to an entry-hazard counter. Flavor-wise, do the Boots redirect the rocks?
I think in battle revolution the rocks make the most sense when talking about hitting flying types. In that game the rocks like circle around the pokemon iirc. Plus i think thats the only game where the rocks are on the field at all times (as opposed to dissapearing when thrown on the field)

Edit: O you literally have a pic of it

Hmm... maybe when being sent out, the boots thick soles just doesn't activate the trigger for the Stealth Rocks to rise up and slam the opponent.

It also arguably doesn’t make sense that they protect the wearer from Sticky Web’s Speed drop.

The boots soles are stick-proof? Sure it doesn't say it but since it does prevent Sticky Web's Speed drop that certainly is a possibility.

A non-stick material would solve the Sticky Web problem, yes, but it would introduce the much bigger problem of immediately slipping and falling because there’s now almost no friction between your shoes and the ground

I mean, the move is called Stealth Rocks. It would make sense for it to disappear from view. The Gen 8 version shows some of the rocks staying in the air and then disappearing.

Not necessarily. The materials that make up the soles could just have some property that specifically prevents it from adhering to the webs. Sort of an oil and water situation.

Immiscibility and non-stick properties are pretty different concepts though, chemically. I’m all for an explanation that’s just ‘they have a highly specific quality that doesn’t really exist in the real world’ (because in the end we’re just conjuring up ad hoc explanations for a random item in a video game), but if that’s what we’re saying we might as well also say that the boots have a special rock-repelling property and that’s why they make the user immune to Stealth Rock.

Althoughhh now that I’m thinking about it, when I was a kid there was one thing that would always ruin the stickiness of things I wanted to stay sticky: furry, fluffy or fibrous materials, like carpet. Thus, I propose that the Heavy-Duty Boots have a rough but furry sacrificial layer that gets picked up by the Sticky Web, neutralising its stickiness.

Legendaries that can use moves like rest or recover, super annoying to constantly have to bring them back down to <20%

I’m sure this has been brought up before, but the fact that Nidoqueen and Nidoking can’t breed still gets to me

MOD EDIT: Double posts merged.

Nidoking can breed, just not Nidoqueen nor Nidorina (as of Gen VII); especially as Total Clefairy pointed out that both their basic stages can and they're considered breeding partners. It's a glitch I still don't get why is kept for so long. However with Gen VIII seemingly "fixing" a batch of oddities the franchise has had over the years, maybe Nidoqueen and Nidorina will finally be moved into the Monster & Field Egg Group.

BTW, unless your last post was a day or so ago, you can edit your post if you have an additional comment to make.
