This applies to most music industries but specifically to kpop. The west has mostly moved away from trying to mass produce pop stars in a factory. The fact is its a feast or famine industry and they are pumping out tons of new groups every year and abandoning the ones that have very little success. Every single aspect of kpop is basically focus grouped to death to give the most ear pleasing product to the masses. its not a counterculture, its one of the most corporate things you can support.

at least you made it a critique of capitalism like i asked. everything about your post is basically right, though i think you underestimate the amount of mass production on entertainment in the west.

On average, UK rappers (grime included) are better than their American counterparts.
Pineapple on pizza is tolerable but not something I'd choose to have. Cold take, yeah, but an unpopular opinion since most people seem to love/hate it.
Marmite is a top tier toast spread, especially when combined with peanut butter.
Dunno if this counts as a hot take, but some of the best comedy isn't offensive to anyone (David Mitchell probably the best example I can think of).
Everyone in full-time education should be forced into playing for a sports team, either for their school or an external club.
Martial arts should be taught in PE.
 
the political designations of "left" and "right" should be changed to something that is more neutral. while nobody consciously thinks of the "right" in right/left politics as the "right" in right/wrong, the implicit associations, however small, are made. to remove all unnecessary influences on political discourse, which is something direly needed in the united states of america, we should start by relabelling right/left politics as something that is more neutral in nature. i am unsure of what the political sides should be rebranded to - perhaps we should take a leaf out of the latest pokemon games and change one to "sword" and the other to "shield".

there are many problems with this, including people actually prioritize education, the low quantity of sports facilities (if so many people played), the low effort people who don't care put in, etc.

do you include poaching / particularly barbaric cases like fox hunting / exhaustion of natural resources i.e overfishing as subsets of 'hunting' in this take?

hunting is far too broad a category to not qualify this take further imo
