SPOILERS! Pokemon Sword and Shield Datamine Thread

I'm not telling you this couldn't be fake, I'm not 100% sure, but how can this sounds so odd to you? We are talking about a Pokémon game, a franchise that has already shown similar content in the past.
Things that stand out:
1. The moves tweet includes a mix of info we know and supposedly new info. Most fake "leaks" follow the same kind of pattern, banking on the info that was part of a credible leak that hadn't yet been revealed to make people believe what they are showing.
2. They used two different names to refer to the same ability. That's one heckuva mistake to make if you are going off of info you know is true and just comes across as very suspicious.
3. This one is an assumption, but I'm pretty sure they would have to do a bit of finessing with the abilities code in order for a Pokemon to have two separate abilities that activate at the same time. Now logically if true then this would more easily be accomplished by making a new ability with both effects... except they don't present it as such despite the fact that it would be info they would have if they already have access to the other info. It wouldn't even be hard to explaitn they could have even wrote it as "Chilling Gaze (Unnerve + Chilling Neigh)" and "Grim Gaze (Unnerve + Grim Neigh)" and had it make complete sense.

And again, the models shouldn't be a deadlock on credibility. Not after that rather convincing Bug/Dragon from last spring. There's been plenty of time since the two horses and the fusion item were datamined for models to be made. Also if this alleged deleted tweet is real... how the heck could they have gotten an untextured model of the ghost horse? That kind of file shouldn't be in any files from the HOME database, which is where they would have allegedly come from.

It is now looking hella sus to me, but we have a few days to see.

No opinion on whether this is real or not (I mean, I hope it's real, Calyrex riding a night mare is YES), but he pretty clearly just messed up copy-pasting "Spectrier's Grim Neigh."

I don't think there's anything about combining two abilities. Calyrex has Unnerve when it's by itself (we already knew this) and has the other ability when it's mounted on the horse. The "(combined)" isn't referring to the abilities, but the Pokemon. It's no different to how Kyurem and Necrozma adopt the ability of the Pokemon they fuse with.

That said, including the name of the ghost horse in the name of the ability is really dumb, and for that reason alone I hope it's fake.

It could probably be an error from the leakers, but by writing both of the fusions' abilities with (combined), I think they are pretty clear they are meant to be combined. What we don't know is if it's a new ability that has both effects, or the pokémon has literally 2 abilities when it enters the field.
This is assuming the leaks are true, but they are almost certain to be true.

I remember seeing that on the twitter feed, so we all could have been on the ruse cruise, but thankful we only have to wait a few days to see.

The main administrator of Centro Pokémon, which I don't know if its the same guy nowadays since I left the community about 9 years ago, Sebastián, is a wonderful person. And I say this with knowledge on the matter, since back then I was one of the forums moderators (then administrator) and web publisher, so I had permision to make entries on the web as an editor. I knew Sebastián personally since we talked a lot and we got to hang around to play other online games (like Mario Kart). A lot of the shit concerning him and his decissions are false, and I feel like it's my duty to point this out.
I don't have much personal experience other than the time I was in Centro Pokemon's facebook group when he said USUM were going to be sequels and I pointed out we didn't knew yet (it was the week of the first announcement), he just replied (paraphrasing) "It's really obvious" and then I was banned from the group. Not anything traumatic lol, but it did leave a bad/confusing impression

However, I have met people that I would trust with my life that had quite bad experiences with him, so its a a bit of a he said, she said really.

Man duo abilities is weird, I assume is actually just a single ability (codewise) with both effects and the flavor text just says is both abilities at the same time, or else the way the games handles Pokémon information would need a (minor, but needed) overhaul, unless the way they store Pokémon information in gen 8 is VERY different from gen 7 which I have a bit more experience with

This is how I interpret it as well. Like you say, it is how Kyurem and Necrozma handled abilities before.

I chalk it up to Centro Leaks' abstruse and unclear reporting of leaks both now and in the past

I'm taking all this with a grain of salt.

idk something about getting a model from home doesn't sit right with me, i'm pretty sure its all PNGs there but correct me if i'm wrong. Centro has leaked real stuff before, but I'm pretty sure they've also leaked bullshit occasionally. I thought they got most of their leaks from 4chan post, then immidiately jump on the datamining train when they get their hands on roms/hear an update is out.

I'd believe it all if it wasn't for the model leak, that's kinda sus to me. Also just logged into home on my switch... uh wheres the update they could've ripped this stuff from? Wouldn't we have known about these sprites already? Afaik the only thing new that home has gotten recently is the maintenance announcement, so I'm a little confused where they're ripping these from.

I'm getting much more of a Grass vibe than a Psychic vibe from that cape. Looks like leaves grown out.

I can see this thing getting scary snowballing with special Moxie and Giga Drain if so, especially if its signature move has >=100 base power. Grass is a great typing for dealing with Groudon and Kyogre, Ghost is still fantastic neutral coverage (especially with Ekiller gone), and we know Calyrex gets Psyshock for Blissey. The main thing stopping a Ghost/Grass special attacker from being great is that it gets hard walled by Yveltal and I can't think of any good reason for it to get the right coverage moves.

Edit: the tweet got deleted, so here's a screenie
