"Unlike other stats, PP has not been directly referenced in the anime. However, many Pokémon have been seen to have trouble using a specific move repeatedly, such as Ash's Pikachu's increasing weakness using Thunderbolt on Mewtwo's Poké Balls as they chased him down in Mewtwo Strikes Back.Additionally, Pokémon get visibly exhausted over the course of a battle, even if they don't take any hits. In Promoting Healthy Tangrowth!, Brock even straight out said that there is a limit to how many times Ash's Grotle would be able to use Synthesis." [Bulbapedia]
I feel like this is much more of a reflection on the natural endurance and ability of a pokemon (for example pikachu producing a finite amount of electricity) than it is referencing PP. So yes while something like charizard won't be able to continuously breath fire, over a long period of time it would be able to last the whole lion war. Not like, breath fire 16 times and then struggle itself to death, that would just be silly.

Even if PP is real, it does not matter in the slightest, so can we move on from this argument.

lions arent real either

that's just called stamina and lions have that too. lions don't have infinite energy the just got a lot of lions.

YUMMMM MEWTWO MMMMMMMMMMMM
you assume you ever get near m2 bro, how tf you eatin him when dude can fly and teleport. that's like assuming you can munch down on frieza, you are not catching him ever. the clone thing also made me remember mons that can use transform are also broken, so ditto/smeargle/mew all gonna be doing the same broken bs that the rest of the legends are doin

- PP DOESNT MATTER

You know what does matter, how soon jirachi wishes the lions out of existence

If we follow Pokedex logic, Magcargo beats 1 billion lions by itself just by existing.

So does Camerupt.

We can't even hope those lions turn Ghost-type because they'd be surrounded by lots of hungry Chandelure-line Pokémon who eat by burning souls.

If we include legends, all the legendary mascots in at least 3-6 absolutely beat the lions by themselves. Just any one of those legends.

Even Dynasty Warriors can most realistically kill 1000 mooks in one battle and some of them are actual real life gods. If every Pokemon was Lu Bu they could maybe fuck up a million lions on a good day. A billion ain't happening.

There's no reason to think most Pokemon are powerful at all, or they'd rise up against their human oppressors. Criminal organizations don't even use them to attack people, just other trainer's Pokemon. Pokemon ain't shit.

Dex entries are canonically written by 10-year-olds.

btw if anyone still insists on using the PP argument just remember that sw/sh pokemon camp confirms you can cook literally anything, feed it to your pokemon, and all of its HP and PP are restored

get a pile of bones, heat them up (fire type attack), and boom, not tired anymore

Is Aslan religious? He's a manifestation of God, is God religious? Seems someone as holy and above and pure as God wouldnt partake in religion, which is the root of so many awful things.

Anyway if Aslan is on the lions team im switching to team lions he would literally just will the pokemon out of existence
aslan isn't a manifestation of god at all, he's just an allegory for jesus, who was human. i don't think he should be disqualified from the lions because jesus was just a dude

pokemon might have gods but lions got the son of god who just comes back to life when he wants to, he cannot be killed

My basis for disqualification is not that he is god, but the fact he's definitely not a normal ass lion. Any lion who speaks like that can consider themselves eliminated from competition

How and why does this topic even keep resurging lol.
It's a funny question, though, I guess.

Pokemon that solo win:
- Magcargo
- Camerupt
- Shedinja (Shedinja turns around, you lose your soul. Unless the lions somehow know this beforehand, the Pokemon can just put shedinja in a spot where he's nicely hidden from damage yet his back is visible.)

Pokemon that can reasonably win an attrition war on their own but it'd take shite long:
- Flying-types
- Levitate Pokemon
- Flame Body/Static/Poison Point Pokemon with Wish back-up
- !nds fly

Pokemon that can reasonably win an attrition war fairly fast:
- Dialga just warps time 1000 years ahead. Dead lions.
- Palkia just warps space and poof no lions.
- Arceus can create new Pokemon given he created the creation trio and whatnot.
- Giratina is literally hell incarnate.
- Yveltal drains anything's life force. So what it hurts the own team - it also drains the lions who have 0 recovery abilities.
- Alolan Ninetales, Abomasnow, Vanilluxe are chilling (hehe) in their areas, defended by Alolan Sandslash, Avalugg, and Glastrier respectively as their hail chips away at every lion in range of the hailstorm.
- Kyogre just drowns everyone
- Groudon just burns everyone

Pokemon that help other Pokemon perform even better:
- !nds helping hand
- Eternatus forces others to Dynamax/Gigantamax
- All Pokemon = all gens = back-row pursuit users prevent the lions from making this an attrition war instead of letting the lions fight in waves
- In psychic terrain, expanding force hits every enemy by reflecting off of the terrain. Indeedee and Tapu Lele say hi.
- By the concept of chain lightning, every rain setter + thunder user has a party
- Give Caterpie the high ground and let it rain string shots down. Pokemon can hit any part of the army, the lions can only fight in their encirclement ranks.
- Stealth Rocks + Spikes + Steel Surge (Eternatus helps Copperaja) means all lions lose 25+12.5+12.5 (50%) HP before even starting to fight. Every whirlwind user/roar user can spam the move and make them instantly KO when they try to join the fight again. All phase moves do the same.
- U-turn Pokemon just bop and back out, letting Ferrothorn, Druddigon, Garchomp, Togedemaru deal their rough skin/iron barbs damage for a short bit.

Things AOE Pokemon can do:
- !nds psych up + AOE move -> +6 for free and wipe them out
- Even if it doesnt kill them outright, surf drowns a lot of lions and turns the battlefield wet, something lions usually are not accustomed to, especially repetitively.
- Eruption and Water spout and Dragon's Maw are permanent 150 bp bc they get healed
- Regileki is literally so fast, how is he ever getting hit if he kills 1v1?
- Heal Pulse Pokemon can heal 500 specific Lions (targetting never fails in mons unless a move or ability is used) to ensure Leech Seed users can seed 500 different lions and just infinitely heal off every point of damage

Reasons the lions might win:
- numbers go brr

Reasons lions might not win:
- You literally need to nerf Pokemon in a hundred ways (no items? why? Typeless? why? Typeless damage? why?) to even remotely give them a chance, and even with that chance, they have no chance.

Magcargo isn't even competitively tiered and people are seriously running around acting like it should be destroying the planet.

The pokemon have logical brains that can formulate thoughts high enough to make strategies(shown by pokemon communicating in "Island of the Giant Pokemon"), so why wouldn't they do one of the following by teaming up?

1. Psychic type pokemon use their Psychic powers to lift the lions into the air. Dialga freezes time where they are, and the pokemon can attack until they run out of energy, and then rest until their ready to attack again. Even is you where to say Dialga would get tired, why wouldn't things like Caterpie use hordes of String Shot so the lions can't move when they get out? Or that fire type pokemon wouldn't work together in making a magma pit under the lions, so that when Dialga gets tired and have to un-freeze time, they all fall into a fiery pit and melt?

2. All the pokemon climb onto a mountain, and Palkia makes a rift around the mountain, so that when the lions attempt to climb up they get teleported back to the bottom. Therefore the pokemon with long-ranged attacks can pick them off for as long as they want. If Palkia gets tired, Dialga could stop time around him so that he can't react to his tiredness.

3. Kyogre makes the whole earth a sea, while Groudon makes an Island that the pokemon can stay on, so they don't get tired. The lions drown while the pokemon are fine. These are the pokemon's natural abilities, its what they do, so why would PP limit a pokemon from doing its purpose?

4. Darkrai puts the lions to sleep, and the pokemon rush in and kill everything

5. Malamar and some other Psychic type pokemon can control minds( "A Conspiracy to Conquer!) So there's a bunch of Lions who are attacking each other. You could argue that the Lions need to see the pokemon to be mind-controlled, but with Eternatus' unlimited Dynamaxing, all the Lions would be able to see the Psychic pokemon, which means they would all be controlled, and then forced to kill themselves

6. Pokemon such as Tyranitar and Hippowdown summon a Sandstorm, and since we can discuss items lets say the have Smooth Rocks. They Lions can now barely see and are getting chipped away slowly. Sand Rush users such as Excadrill, Sandslash, and Lycanroc then run through and causes havoc among the Lions. The Lions most likely won't be able to focus and the Pokemon can win. Same thing for Swift Swim, Chlorophyll, and Slush Rush users, as well as Surge Surfer A-Raichu

7. Its been said that a large portion of pokemon are weak and would auto-lose. But a large majority of them get Sand-Attack, so who's to say they don't from a giant group Sand-Attack so that the lions can't hit anything?

8. Water pokemon can sit in the water indefinitely. They can just sit in the water and attack until the lions are dead. If they get tired they can rest in the water without worrying about attack. While Lions can swim, the only do so if they have to, and they cannot do so indefinitely, so eventually they would just drown.

9. In several episodes its shown the Pokemon can dodge attacks using Agility. Why not avoid the lions attacks doing so?

Other arguments:

People say Macargo and other incredibly hot pokemon would eventually be overwhelmed, but at the temp. anything that gets close is melted, so how would the lions pile on and overwhelm it? (Macargo def could not solo the lions though, its a snail it can't move fast)

Ghost type pokemon can float without effort, and they can go through things, so they cannot get tired of it. Same argument as flying pokemon, but better.

Why do the Lions have typeless attacks as well as being typeless? Why wouldn't they have type based attacks they could do such as Bite, Crunch, Snarl, Slash, or Roar? That alone makes it a bit unfair.

Playing devils advocate here, based on what I've seen from lion stans this is a pretty well compiled rebuttal on their behalf.

Idk man... 1B is a lot of lions...
