Surprised you didn't notice something odd in my vid....
Wait, you're working on the RSE hack right, did you fake the vid?

Oh, right, you can't change the name of the Rival in Gen III.![]()
Something that bugs me is how RSE's tiny lore details are ignored or forgotten in the fanbase

And that's another little thing to be annoyed about
This applies in Gym Leader refights too. Why is there a freaking lvl 40 Slowpoke in the Twins' fight?
Most of those look basically the same in 2D and 3D.I think some of you already know that, but I dislike how some Pokemon during the transition to 3D lost some of their luster. I don't mean the animation. That is clear, but there was something else. And I think I found the answer in this link

??? No?Most of those look basically the same in 2D and 3D.
Because they're based on the art, not sprites??? No?
It's a comparison of the colour palettes used. 3D models use a very washed out, pale pallet compared with the really vibrant and varied colours that the Pokémon used to have. Which is absolutely a valid point, the colours look much worse than their original ones. The models also look much better with their old palettes reapplied.
Though purple-hue Sneasel and Forretress are better than either of their 2 later colourations imo :P

And lo and behold, if the source art isn't desaturated or low contrast, the model isn't either
Look at Entei

So Sugimori mucking art after Gen 3 had consequences
Oh, I thought the color flashing was a visual glitch, not a comparison between old and new palettes. I see it now.??? No?

Not likelyIt's a shame Parasect isn't in SWSH, it'd be interesting to see if it looks much better.
Well, it is in Let's Go, and SwSh mostly uses same models for the pokemon that are around, so...It's a shame Parasect isn't in SWSH, it'd be interesting to see if it looks much better.

Blue art (1997) vs FRLG (2003)

well that does seem far darker than 3DS parasect, so that's nice and more what I wanted rather than "red".Well, it is in Let's Go, and SwSh mostly uses same models for the pokemon that are around, so...

Something that annoys me in RSE is how Mr. Stone had art, is a noted NPC....but they didn't bother to give him a unique sprite. Just uses regular Gentleman's

Which annoyingly in Origins, led to thisSame for Professor Cozmo & Capt. Stern who both got the Scientist sprite
This reminded me of the fact that Juan technically has a unique sprite, but it's pretty much just Steven's sprite with an edited haircut and mustache. It doesn't even have any blue.Something that annoys me in RSE is how Mr. Stone had art, is a noted NPC....but they didn't bother to give him a unique sprite. Just uses regular Gentleman's
