why does festive exist HELP

Ok so my partner in crime vNatFly showed me this little gadget here earlier today

And so i was intrigued so i clicked on it and there was an option called "smogon festive" so I said to myself "wow this is kinda neat good thing there's nothing around to unexpectedly and suddenly ruin my day and I clicked on it and OH MY GOD WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

For those 23 and a half seconds I experienced pain (not french pain) that is beyond any level of pain any sane person could withstand save Chuck Norris. The tannish-white color of the background erupted out of my computer screen and shot deep into the recesses of my eyes, from where it could easily go inside my brain and proceed to incinerate everything (and believe me there was a lot). Smogon Festive theme has un-watered my crops, broke my sims marriage, made me miss focus blast and removed all hope of ever completing formal schooling. Believe me when I say that Smogon Festive burns more than Scald.

I will never heal

I mean.. not that much of a difference. Both Smogon Classic/Festive severely blind you and are just disgusting. Smogon Festive is only worse because the background looks like pee and they added a unnecessary, HORRIFYING green thingymuhbobber to top it off which only made it worse..
 
I personally use Festive right now, and I like it! That green is pretty nice. I do agree our current dark mode suck tho; the few times I tried it, it was just.. too dark and with many pfp having white backgrounds, it's a no :/
