wacan to allow him to survive a thunderpunch, then fire punch or EQ.
sub up if he comes in on EQ.

im just gonna post that nothing with focus sash is a counter.

reducing berries are debatable but imo are not since counters should not only be able to switch in once, thats not a counter.
i mean maybe if you're all playing 2 pokes vs 2 pokes and youre only switching once but i think alot of you dont know what a counter is lol

I'm personally sick of seeing the same 10 pokemon over and over again =/
Also, sleep attacks mess up the game. Forces your counter to either carry insomnia type abilities or sleep talk (especially if Lum/Chesto don't work as counters due to only coming in once).

How exactly is focus sash not a counter???
This is assuming that both pokes start at full HP, and one has to switch in, being able to KO the opposing pokemon before it can KO yours... Switch something with a focus sash that can out-speed and OHKO the non weather-ability pokemon, the enemy's is dead, yours is at one HP. The other pokemon = dead. Your pokemon = alive. This scenario = countered.

In my eyes, for the purposes of this game, a "counter" is a Pokemon that can switch into a Pokemon, and, assuming neither Pokemon switches, that counter Pokemon will end up with at least 1 HP, and the other Pokemon will be fainted.

First post in the thread, proves my point further.

i understand that its less fun when its just blissey->tar->pert->cele->hera->skarm-> starmie->blissey

but i just want everyone to be aware that alakazam is hardly ever a "counter" lol

youre looking at your own definition of the word counter, not the accepted one

a counter is a pokemon that can consistently switch in on a pokemon without fear of getting ruined by an attack as it switches in, and force the pokemon it switched in on to switch
tar is a counter to ice beam softboiled stoss AT bliss for example

This game runs by the definition I provided in my post, as proved by the first post in the thread.

a counter can be only be a pokemon that can come in on a pokemon and waste it, then you have blissey coming in on an all special attacker, is this a counter? well think of it this way who would end up winning in this particular fight? despite being a 30 turn stall war my bet would be on blissey being the "Sp.Attack Counter Pokemon"

what are you arguing exactly. where did i say blissey was not a special attacker counter (minus specsluke or whatever)

Gliscor @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Veil
Nature: Impish
EVs: 252 HP, 4 Atk, 252 Def
~ Swords Dance
~ Roost
~ Earthquake
~ Ice Fang

I would go with ...

Quagsire @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
Nature: Relaxed
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 6 SpA.
~ Eathquake
~ Ice Beam
~ Yawn
~ Encore

Can easily switch in on either Earthquake or Ice Fang. If it starts SDing Encore it, if not Yawn (to prevent roosting), then Ice Beam it until its dead.

Hidden Power Fighting

Shadow Ball

Calm Mind up while its attacks do hardly anything to you, then hit it with Hidden Power when you're ready. Unless he is a mastermind predictor, he probably won't anticipate when you decide to attack and won't get the Endure off.

Resists Ice Beam, immune to Toxic and will definitely mess your Blissey up with Close Combat with or without the Swords Dance.

To Armaldo:

Regirock @ Leftovers
Careful@ 252/0/56/0/200/0
Stone Edge
Earthquake
Curse
Rest

Regirock takes only 34-40% from EQ, takes little from Stone Edge and Scissor Cross, and is immune to Screech. It can Curse up to his hearts content, and KO with Stone Edge.
