Im somewhat new to competitive Pokemon and would like help on how to make this team better, its a bit of a blend of hyper offense and bulky offense, so heres the team
Kartana @ Chople Berry
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Leaf Blade
- Knock Off
- Sacred Sword
- Swords Dance
Kartana is a VERY hard hitter that can sweep verily easily if given even just a single turn to set up, since it almost always 1 shots anyways I decided to give it Chople berry to help it survive fighting type coverage that it would otherwise get 1HKO with
Lycanroc-Dusk (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Taunt
- Accelerock
- Endeavor
This Lycanroc is almost always my lead, Taunt can shut down other leads, stealth rock because its steath rock and the chip can make quiet the difference, accelerock for priority STAB, and finally Endevor can cause a suprise KO with either a follow up priority or from Ninetale's hail.....Speaking of which
Ninetales-Alola (F) @ Light Clay
Ability: Snow Warning
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moonblast
- Blizzard
- Encore
- Aurora Veil
A pretty standard set for a Aurora veil support Ninetales, with a bit of encore to cause slip ups against rock setters, set up sweepers, ect.
Volcarona (F) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Quiver Dance
- Flamethrower
- Psychic
- Giga Drain
I wanted Volcarona on the team because its one of my favorite pokemon, luckily for me, it also happens to be an incredible special sweeper, I use psychic to hit toxpex and giga drain as unexpected coverage.
Moltres-Galar @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Berserk
EVs: 36 HP / 252 SpA / 220 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Agility
- Nasty Plot
- Fiery Wrath
- Air Slash
Absolute MvP of the team, Galar Moltres is an AMAZING double dance sweeper that has 1-6 plenty of times for me, the flinch chance of these moves has also saved me a few times, I pick air slash over hurricane because its more accurate and it has a huge flinch chance
Garchomp (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Scale Shot
- Earthquake
- Fire Fang
Another one of my favorites, Garchomp is the physical sweeper for the team, Fire fang helps give something to 2 hit KO corviknight and most of the time 1 hit KO ferrothorn.
I would love to get some feedback and help with this team, as there are 3 major glaring weaknessess ive noticed while playing.
1. Volcarona is completely walled by fire types, ESPECIALLY Heatran
2. Guessing wrong with lycanroc can cause one of two things: either I have to end up dealing with rocks, or my opponent doesn't have to worry about rocks
3. Weather is an absolute WORST match up for me, rarely if ever did I claim any victories against sand, rain, or even hail
This is the first team I made here on Smogon, and I would love to learn how to be better, thanks for reading!
