The dumps are happening, though apparently you can't get past the intro on emulator. Not my photo by the way.

This is the most important news poryleaks has released for this game and now they are obsolete by a leak out of their own hands. Ironic.

So misc non-new form observations from models dump:

-Rapidash's shiny has been altered to have purple flames like its Gen 2 shiny
-Alolan Vulpix and OG Sneasel/Weavile are in the game but no other Alolans, Galarians or OG forms of Hisuians
-Parasect is part of the dex
-Arceus and Cherrim have their alt forms, suggesting they'll have new triggers not tied to abilities
-Regigigas is in but not any of the other Regis

I'm really hoping that Alolan Vulpix's inclusion is a sign that pre-existing regional forms will be treated as normal Pokemon to be included in future regional dexes if the devs so choose. It's been bugging me how, for example, "Alolan" Meowth and "Galarian" Meowth are apparently found only in Alola and Galar, but "Kantonian" Meowth is found everywhere else, not just Kanto.

Or we get it in a trade from one of the other Galactic Corp members and they included that one, specifically, just beause its popular.

Meanwhile I assume normal Sneasel is here for the same reason normal Meowth & normal Yamask were included in SWSH: we needed weavile. Wouldn't shock me if that was ALSO a trade.

& yeah it bugs me more that they started calling the normal versions "Kantonian" in SWSH (SM didnt really do this to my recollection)

In this new age of clout chasers, I'm actually glad that Centro is rising up to be the dataminer we need. Thank you Centro. He has an illustration of some festival and lots of characters on his page, but it's pretty out of context so not sure where it's related to the story but I won't link just in case it's an ending mural or something.

This makes sense to have more than one target involved in the new action system.

I've always loved the cosmic horror vibe of the big Sinnoh legends, so this Biblical horror Bayonetta angel alien horse gig Palkia and Dialga are trying is neat.

I'm happy to see cross gen evos are official! Ursaring evo is a bit lumpy/dopey looking but I'm happy to see they carried the moon motif over (full moon with "clouds" on its forehead). Arcanine looks dope. Always been one of my favourites and I think they did it justice here. Love the contrast of black fur. Most of the evolutions remind me of the "extremeness" of the gen 4 cross gen evos so a lot of these feel very on brand for Sinnoh.

I'm humiliated that Electrode is... that.

SM did it at least once, I remember Hau seeing the player’s mom’s Meowth and calling it Kantonian

That said, the Pokédex still doesn’t label the original forms as “Kantonian” or “Unovan” or whatever so I kinda get the sense that the use of that terminology in the games is just an informal shorthand. (Then again, I believe the official Pokémon Go press releases do use regional terms for “regular” forms, but presumably that’s a practical decision to help draw a distinction about which form is going to be available during an upcoming event.)

Looks like Cheryl with the Braviary, Mira dancing, and I think Flint on drums
Poryleeks has shifted to retweeting this guy's playthrough clips and at least he seems to be making good progress. Evolution seems pretty intense.
That looks like the swirl on the back of the box that I thought was Hurricane or Whirlpool.

So thoughts on the leaked forms (as for the non-leaked forms, Basculegion is dope as hell, Braviary and Wyrdeer are nice but don't change enough from the OG, Kleavor I quite like too, Hisuian Growlithe is adorable, Zorua/Zoroark are quite neat, and I like Hisuian Voltorb more than the OG so that's a plus)

Electrode: Doesn't change much from the OG except different textures and its ANGERY. It also has some carvings in it but they're less noticeable compared to Voltorb eyebrows. 2/5

Arcanine: Quite like this one. Got a nice fur pattern going on and such. I like OG Arcanine more but still, not bad. 4/5

Typhlosion: I know I know they turned a cool Pokemon into a dopey one that looks like its stoned. But honestly this ain't THAT bad. Maybe it'll grow on me over time who knows. 3/5

Qwilfish: More personality than the OG and a delightful expression. 4/5

Sneasel: Again not that much change, but I like the combo of light purple and white. And the "ooze" coming off the claws is a nice detail. 4/5

Horse Dialga/Palkia: What the fuck are these. 1/5

Samurott: Not edgy enough for me but I like the changes to the shell, horn, and whiskers. 4/5

Lilligant: Hey they made a regional variant of my favorite Gen 5 mon. But this just looks so alien to me. The face, the even more dinky little arms, the weirdly tall legs. It has some neat ideas, and maybe it'll grow on me, but not too big a fan of this. 2/5

Cyan Basculin: Its Basculin. No rating.

Avalugg: This looks so awkward. What even are those ice chunks attached to its face? Outside of that and texture changes, this doesn't change a lot either. Avalugg was one of the more 'ehh' Kalos mons and they kinda blew on making a form with a better design. Shame. 1/5

Sliggoo: Got the weirdly sexy eyes. Slight color alteration, with a literal silver shell. Eh. 3/5

Goodra: Long antennae, a larger shell, and depression. Same with Sliggoo for my thoughts. 3/5

Decidueye: Love the design of OG Decidueye, this is a nice spin on it. 4/5

Sneasel evo: They just made Sneasel taller. Really wish it wasn't a victim of "just gets bigger" syndrome but welp. 2/5

New genie: Well if you wanted a female counterpart to the OG trio, well this fits right on. Shame I'm not huge on the genies in general. I like the sky turtle Therian form though. 3/5 for regular, 4/5 for Therian

Qwilfish evo: This is so ridiculous looking. I kinda like it. 4/5

Ursaring evo: Another oddly depressed one. This one I like though. We actually haven't gotten a quadrupedal bear Pokemon, and this is a neat take on that. Like the mud/fur thing going on. I dunno I just think its neat. 4/5

There's more of these that I liked than I expected. Again as my exposure to them increases my feelings with change, but still.

Oh, a piece of evidence that these things aren't fusions: this isn't a split game, like B2W2 or USUM. Unless there's a branching storyline depending on which clan you side with, it seems unlikely that Arceus would fuse with both Dialga and Palkia separately.
It doesn't need to though.

I actually like the analysis that one is top heavy and the other is bottom heavy.

My theory is that whatever atrocity caused this, their plan may have been to... "combine" neo palkia and neo dialga into Arceus.

Like, to me it's obvious that the plot will revolve around whatever these monstruosities are.
As much as even I find their design very... unsettling to say the least, I think that if the plot revolves around something or someone trying to <do something> with Palkia and Dialga to re-create Arceus or something on these lines, it would actually make sense that they look like some half-arceus unfinished hybrids.

Unfinished cause *obviously* we'll be stopping whatever it is.

Also do note that they don't have to necessarly be "playable". May be temporary unobtainable forms a-la Eternamax Eternatus.

We need y'all to analyze ASOIAF!

Ew, gross. Just because we bought SwSh doesn't mean we have a taste for unfinished schlock.

Yeah this is what I'm thinking. My theory right now is either Adaman and Iridia are the 'bad guys' (not intentionall evil but their squabbling causes Dialga and Palkia to go Biblically Accurate Angle mode and fuck shit up) or there's no real villain

This was always the most likely event because Kamado, Volo, Cyllene, Arezu, etc. all need to survive Judgment Day for the mainline continuity to remain intact. They're required to have descendants, and it doesn't look like any of them have made headway towards that end as of yet. The only way one of the "ancestors" could be a Cyrus-grade villain is if their punishment were to be blasted hundreds of years into the future, which would be a hilarious way to explain Cyrus's own family problems.

But I digress. I also had Irida pigeonholed as trouble because what the actual heck is this Amy Rose lookalike child doing as chief of the Pearl Clan.

Alright, I've had my fun with checking out forms and stuff but I'm kind of reluctant to spoil the story. Do y'all think it is good enough that I should actually try to avoid spoilers?

On a side note, for Lilligant I honestly can't tell which ones are the arms. Are the long leaves that also kinda look like a scarf its arms, are the shorter leaves the arms? Is there footage of this form in action for clarification?
