SPOILERS! Pokemon Legends: Arceus *Leak Thread*

Stats seem to be calculated differently. For instance, a lvl 5 oshawoot has 64 HP, 41 Atk, 48 S Atk and 35 rest stats which is far higher than what a main game level 5 oshawoot has. Also, all stats now have a base fixed value which are increased by this circle thing that has a value ranging from 0 to 3 (3 is the most I saw) I assume these are tied to IVs. I didn't catch the leaks regarding how they work so does anyone have any explanations for these?

(Side note: Currently playing the game. Nothing special but if you wanted to satisfy some minor personal curiosities, you can pm me)

I really gotta feel sorry for Avalugg. Worse Sp. Def for still terrible Speed. And got the same horrible typing as Aurorus without Snow Warning
But hey it can now get the spdef boost from sand COPIUM

On positive note, that thing may actually be pretty stronk on Trick Room once it hits mainline. Ice/rock stab off actually decent attack + though claw are nothing to sneeze at

I'm so confused by how some moves seem to not have types. Also probably worth doing comparisons from pre-PLA to PLA for existing moves, since a TON seem to have reworks!
We just don't have their type yet.

I'm putting the comparison rn, computing some changes.

I was really hoping we would see a rock type fang move so that it could take advantage of Strong Jaw, but nonetheless they really should have kept that 10 from Speed and invested it in literally anything else (except Special attack).

Majed it with the types, spectrum, BP, Acc and PP of the moves : https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...W3dqTVuKt18yzyX2BYDEgb4GF0/edit#gid=608731877.

Adding up soon the details on the secondary effects.

Ho, wait just a minute! Are we sure about this?

Would you confirm that it's definitively not Flying STAB but rather Ice as written? If so, this is the most shocking news yet.

Scorching was bad. But 80 accuracy on a burning move... Hmmphf...
Maybe it'll be used. But really not sure of this.

Scorching was bad because nothing that got it actually wants to use it and Ground mons generally aren't as defensive as Water mons. All it takes is one decent abuser.

Did not notice it was only 80 accuracy though. Into the trash it goes.

Poor gigas...

Hey at least it got its time to shine in last year VGC. That's more than it can say for like... all of its existance of complete unviability.

A very short teaser and nothing else is plausible. They did that for SwSh so...

I don't think the January release is really the norm. Legend Arceus isnt a mainseries title, doesnt introduce a new generation so doesn't have to follow the schedule. I'd expect gen 9 release to mimick SwSh and BDSP (and the previous title) with a late autumn release really.
And Sun and Moon. And Legends & BDSP. And I wasn't expecting anything more than just a simple teaser like the previous ones. Also since they likely would have been working on Gen 9 alongside Legends it also would have been impacted by them having to transition to WFH for a bit due to the lockdowns meaning it too woukd have faced the same kind of issues that would have lead to Legends being delayed to January. It doesn't seem illogical to expect a January release date for Gen 9 as well unless it isn't getting announced this year.

Gamefreaks will call anything that isnt a mobile game or XD/Coliseum "main series" because they want them to sell, and "main series" will always sell more than "spinoff"

Realistically speaking, when people speak of "main series", they refer to the mainline games + their remakes (Let's Go excluded), which stick to the core formula and core gameplay with no alterations.
I missed the memo on Gamefreak calling games like Rangers, Mystery Dungeon, and Conquest "main series" titles it seems since those are neither mobile games nor XD/Coliseum.

Let's Go and Legends both still stick to the core formula and gameplay of "catch Pokemon to complete the Pokedex and engage in turn-based battles". Otherwise we can question if Sun and Moon are "main series" titles as well since those make the alteration to the core formula by ditching Gyms. Heck, SwSh having a lack of E4 could also be in contention too for good measure.

At the end of the day: Let's Go and Legends still have enough in common with the other titles for the term to still apply. (As much as I would rather Legends not) also: citation needed on it being "main series" actually boosts its sales or not. I feel like people don't usually care if it is or isn't.
