Then, narrowing it down in italics to characters Sakurai probably would not add because a) Minor weird characters from FE, b) Geno / Mallow.
So that leaves... Miakaya, Bowser Jr., Metwo, Krystal. Sakurai hates these 4 characters. <_<
On another note, just throwing this out there for some hope, technically if the boxes shrunk a bit more on the select screen (Like they do to add that new row) we could have 49 + (1)Random boxes.
Possible 49 characters? Haha, only time will tell. Let's hope those 'prophets' never got the full scoop. ^_~

Geno is about 3 times as popular there as he is here. I think he voted most favorable character of SMRPG in japan, but that was a while ago I believe. One thing that I find funny is Eliad and Elric on there, along with Micaiah. The japanese are something else I must say.
One thing I do hope for a some kinda button combination that starts Samus in her zero suit, seeing as thats how you save Pikachu in SSE. It's like they started on ZZS in character developement and then just forgot her.

Come on guys, you never know! I'm not saying there will be 50 characters, but there is a possibility that the grand total may reach 40 or so, you never know. I guess I'm just being insanely optimistic. They would be like, super hard to unlock guys too... :|

Exactly, it just seemed TOO EASY.
They would have to already be programmed in, and you would download a flag type thinger that enables it. It's possible, but unlikely. And I doubt Nintendo would do that (idiots) or the Wii could really handle downloading all that data.
There were really only 2 characters in SMRPG. Geno and Mallow. Nobody likes Mallow.
I agree with Firestorm, Mallow was lame and boring in SMRPG, nobody wants to see him again, lol
Well, wasnt it said you could download self made maps to your wii made by other people, i dont see a reason why they wouldnt be able to download characters in the same fashion.
anyways, im glad enough with the roster as is, would've loved to see ridley as playable, or dark samus (^ ^) but alas that wasnt meant to be and i wont sleep less because of it :P

@ problem2, http://www,serebii.net has the complete roster with unlockables. Luigi is an unlockable for some reason.
