SPOILERS! Scarlet & Violet Leaks Thread - Data/Mechanics

Alright then, here's a question for the jury: What leaked Pokemon are you most excited to see in full based on the bits of information about it that are out there?
The mysterious fairy steel 3 stage line. Hammers are one of my favorite fantasy weapons, and fairy steel is without question one of if not the atrongest type combinations in the game. All it needs is decent stats and a usable movepool and we are golden.

I'm curious as to whether the engine's poison type is going to be more than just "exhaust is environmentally bad." Pokemon's where I got my streak for the inorganic still being natural after all, so I have expectations riding on the first steel/poison.

-HOME transfer to SV will be 1 way again, despite the full gen8 compatibility

I lost my whole Pokémon X team a few weeks ago because I was trying to train the rest of the team to the level of my starter (it's a long story). Seriously considering getting a genned version of the original lineup (but not from here, obviously), so this is pretty annoying to hear.

Said it before and I'll say it again, Proto Salamence already (and today's the day I have to preorder, so Violet it is anyway since I really like Ceruledge and I have to make my decision now :pikuh:)

I would be more interested in the hammer fairy if Khu didn't keep referring to it as the "loli mon" :blobnauseated:

Incidentally going by the reviews it apparently has Speed Boost.

That might just be the unobtainable starmobile form, though.

Yeah one of the reasons im not enthusiatic about leaks this gen is because unlike other gens the source is so toxic even wheezing is feeling ill. Its like the only main source of credible info is sitting next to a guy who smokes and his riddles are mixed in with rants against women and the governmemnt.

I mean he's also been the primary leak source for gen 8 & 7

at least this time we have kaka, who is less...everything.

Well, we had Kaka. They've been quiet for a while now, and while they evaded TPC long enough to basically leak the entire dex, I expect that at some point TPC is going to figure out who they are and unleash the lawyers, if they haven't already.

To be honest I never minded the riddles. They were usually pretty cryptic at first, but eventually Khu tended to give enough information that reasonable inferences could be made. The code cracking discord folks got pretty good at figuring them out. It's just all the additional bluster that is a bit much, but to be fair to Khu, they got an avalanche of entitled people whining at them and mouthing them off for not just spoon-feeding them info, so I think some of the toxicity is to deliberately further agitate those people. But, who really knows what team Khu's motivations are.

Don't ask about his description of Paradox Galladevoir.

Oh, I know what Khu said about that one. This one at least we have more clarity on why they originally phrased it the way they did, and once it came out that it was referring to Paradox Gallevoir they haven't used the original description as much.

I mentioned this earlier but good lord am I desperate to see what they've cooked up for this guy. The idea of giving Bisharp an evolution is so wild and yet at the same time sounds insanely cool. Some of the best evolutions ever have been for Pokemon that didn't really "need" it but for which they nonetheless had a sick idea that made it all the worthwhile: Gallade, Magnezone and Ursaluna come to mind.

My mind keeps gravitating to Black Knight as a benchmark for how badass and terrifying Bisharp2 could be. Ceruledge has proven that Paldea's roster can be raw as fuck when needed, so I avidly await the next step for this Unova icon. cape pls

More knight inspired Pokemon?

They read my mind. :)

on god hoping we get a new leaker for the next games because I do not want to have to deal with Khu's weirdass fettishes and borderline useless riddles anymore, that dude sincerely is an awful person and I hope after SV releases his account dies of irrelevance

tbf its entirely possible it was meant to get a drawback initially but justhadn't been coded yet

I'm honestly expecting the Bisharp evo - assuming it actually evolves from Bisharp, Bisharp does not need the evo - to have its English name start with "Rook". ...And neither its Japanese name nor its looks to reference any board games, including chess and shogi, rather like Pawniard and Bisharp. If it turns out the leakers got it wrong - I have a feeling several of their typing mentions are based on guesses solely based on art, especially the Grafaiai/Farigiraf/Bellibolt mess-ups, so it's tough to believe the leakers got absolutely everything right - and we get a Pawniard evo instead, I'm expecting its English name to start with "Knight". (I've seen similar "85% correct"-style leaks and data mines of demos before - the Kirby Star Allies demo data mine still sticks out in my mind, including the parts where the miners got all movepools of the final boss in the correct order but the looks of each final boss phase in the wrong order.)

I want the hammer mon to either be a clever twist on our expectations or a rejected Touhou character, no inbetween. Former sounds cool while the latter is going to be way funnier to witness live.
Right now, I'm actually placing decent bets that the hammer mon's base stage is literally just a hammer. Think Justyke.

Incidentally going by the reviews it apparently has Speed Boost.
I'd expect the engine mon to start off with an absolutely garbage, Trick Room-worthy base speed stat (e.g. 30 base speed). My family car's acceleration was never all that fast.

Coin mon got nerfed
gamefreak making the coin mon: and because its a pain to gather, we can give it a super ridiculous move that has no drawbacks, what can go wrong!

gamefreak, playtesting: oh
This is the first time I've heard of a Pokémon getting the nerfbat treatment before release.
Does that mean there's gonna be a (better) balance team for this game?
