If I had a nickel for everytime Gamefreak created a pure Water type with terrible stats that can transform into a much more powerful variant of itself, I'd have two nickels. Very cool. Anyways, please shape all four of these Pokemon into useful additions to our tier, bear in mind how prolific Water types currently are in our metagame, take a peak into our spreadsheet to find out more. Good luck!

New Pokémon Name: Wishiwashi-Bass

Body Slam, Flail
Echoed Voice, Hyper Voice, Spit Up, Tri Attack, Weather Ball

What Separates it from Other Forms: Water type Wish Passer or Tail Glow sweeper. Brittle Bass uses its high speed and bulk to pash wishes and Toxic of the like. It has pivoting options in both U-Turn and Flip Turn and can burn opponents with Scald, so therefore it needs no other form of damage. While Tail Glow may seem scary on this at first, in order for it to really sweep teams, it first needs to be at +6, which it cannot surpass, and its special attack is low enough to keep it in check at this range.

New Pokémon Name: Wishiwashi

Typing Changes:

Ability Changes: Schooling
Aqua Cutter, Wave Crash, Body Slam, Drain Punch, Rapid Spin
Hyper Voice, Boomburst
Bulk Up, Recover
Schooling: Each turn, this Pokemon gains an ally to help it out. An ally provides a 0.1x power boost to a move. Caps at 10 allies.
Note: This is not a forme change, but a volatile condition.

Wishiwashi @ Choice Specs
Ability: Schooling
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
- Boomburst
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Flip Turn

Intended Roles: Sweeper, Hazard Removal, Special Attacker
What Separates it from Other Forms: The idea with this Pokemon is to let it stay on the field for a long time. Its ability is kinda like Supreme Overlord, except it isn't depended on your teams state. The issue is that this Pokemon has to stay on the field for a longer time, thus it is not immediately threatening and its low speed and meh bulk allows one to force it out.

:ss/wishiwashi-school:
New Pokémon Name: Winardin
Stat Changes: 135/130/120/130/125/30 (670)
Typing Changes:

Wish Passer
Winardin @ Petaya Berry
Ability: Over the Head
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpD
Bold Nature
- Scald
- U-turn
- Wish
- Protect

Intended Roles: Wallbreaker, Wall, Wish Passer
What Separates it from Other Forms: Yes, this Pokemon has insane stats but thanks to its ability it will struggle to use them effectively. I tried to do a Slaking/Regigigas Pokemon while making it viable and not broken. It is slower and it is theoretically possible to prevent its ability from deactivating. However, it can get out of its ability by using its bulk to tank hits and by running Substitute, Double-Edge or Life Orb, to really make sure you get low.

:sv/palafin:
New Pokémon Name: Palafin
Stat Changes: 110/40/52/43/52/103 (400)
Typing Changes:

IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Moonblast
- Grass Knot / Stored Power
- Substitute

Special Endure
Palafin @ Leftovers
Ability: Zero to Hero
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Moonblast
- Grass Knot / Stored Power
- Endure

Physical Endure
Palafin @ Leftovers
Ability: Zero to Hero
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Liquidation
- Drain Punch
- Bulk Up
- Endure

Intended Roles: Attacking Lead, Sweeper
What Separates it from Other Forms: Essentially the reverse of Winardin. Bad Pokemon but good ability. It can activates its ability via Endure, Focus Sash or to an lesser extend Substitute, since hazards or any other chip damage can ruin it. It works best as a Lead or as a Set-Up Sweeper with Bulk Up. Its stats are low so that a +2 boost only makes it strong when it was significant EV investment.

:sv/palafin-hero:
New Pokémon Name: Hercuphin
Stat Changes: 80/110/72/91/92/80 (550)
Typing Changes:

Accuracy: 100%
PP: 10/16
Type:

Category:

Priority: 0
Flags: Contact, Mirror, Fist
Effect: If the target is faster than the user: 1/2 power and +1 priority.
Choice Scarf
Hercuphin @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Iron Fist
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Jet Punch
- Close Combat
- Ice Punch
- Flip Turn

Bulk Up Sweeper
Hercuphin @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Fist
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Jet Punch
- Drain Punch
- Taunt
- Bulk Up

Intended Roles: Physical Wallbreaker, Bulk Up Sweeper
What Separates it from Other Forms: A more well-rounded sub. This Pokemon has decent stats and decent abilities, but also a good movepool. Jet Punch got altered so that is basically a Waterfall against slower Pokemon but an Aqua Jet against faster Pokemon, which makes it stick out a bit. It can also become a more threatening Bulk Up Sweeper with this move.

Also, not subbing it, but please do something called Galpalafin
Firstly, these all need to be formatted better. In their current state they are hard to read and decipher. The post immediately above me has a perfect layout in code that you can easily copy and paste. Regardless of subs, if they aren't formatted properly, they will be vetoed.

:Palafin: One of the defenses on this should be lowered, I think it's otherwise too efficient of a wall. Wish Passing is pretty great on fat in this metagame, so recovery is most likely not too harsh an issue.

:Palafin-hero: Not broken, but we just got a kinda fast special leaning Flying Fighting type Pokemon that won. I suggest going fully physical and try differing stat biases in either bulk or speed to differentiate from Squawkalone (Squawkabilly-White), or just a different typing altogether.

New Pokémon Name: Wishiwashi-Bass
True Name: Brittle Bass (just for fun)

What Separates it from Other Forms: Water type Wish Passer or Tail Glow sweeper. Brittle Bass uses its high speed and bulk to pash wishes and Toxic of the like. It has pivoting options in both U-Turn and Flip Turn and can burn opponents with Scald, so therefore it needs no other form of damage. Silk Trap is good for forcing switches and Infestation can be ran on trapping sets. While Tail Glow may seem scary on this at first, in order for it to really sweep teams, it first needs to be at +6, which it cannot surpass, and its special attack is low enough to keep it in check at this range.

:Wishiwashi: I would like this to change typing, whether it's Bug or Water type. I think it competes too much with existing Pokémon Araquanid, who has similar stat distributions (but better in most aspects) and similar Movepools. It just makes sense for to distinguish itself from an already existing top threat without being in danger of either being worse or better.

:Wishiwashi-school: This Pokémon is plain too good imo. Needs a stat nerf, possibly a type change, but I believe stats is more pressing. It is a very powerful wallbreaker with alot of defensive utility off stats alone, both are exacerbated by not only it's ability which is easy to trigger with a viable Electric Terrain setter while beating all of the other setters on the switchin (or just run Booster Energy) but it's incredible defensive typing. Bulk in particular should get a sizable scale down, but other options might be subject to adjustment upon further looking.

:Palafin-hero: Brave Crash pushes it over the edge, lacking coverage is barely an issue when you have 120 BP Dual STAB with near perfect neutral coverage between them. In general I don't think Ice moves should be that strong, without a really good drawback.

Serene Grace on this is a no no. Mon is really spectacular as is and things like Moonblast, Charge Beam and especially Scald make it very hard to punish or swap into tbh.

Special Attacker
Wishiwashi @ Choice Specs
Ability: Schooling
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
- Boomburst
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Flip Turn

Intended Roles: Sweeper, Hazard Removal, Special Attacker
What Separates it from Other Forms: The idea with this Pokemon is to let it stay on the field for a long time. Its ability is essentially Parental Bond that can hit up to 10 times thus not only giving you powerful moves but extra chances to inflict secondary effects. The issue is that this Pokemon has to stay on the field for a longer time, thus it is not immediately threatening and its low speed and meh bulk allows one to force it out.

:ss/wishiwashi-school:
New Pokémon Name: Winardin
Stat Changes: 135/130/120/130/125/30 (670)
Typing Changes:

Ability Changes: Over the Head
Wave Crash
Water Spout

Over the Head: When above 1/4 of the max HP, this Pokemon's stats are multiplied by 0.67x.
Physical Substitute Attacker
Winardin @ Liechi Berry

:Wishiwashi: Can this be reworked to instead of using the move multiple times, it just boosts the power of the move directly. It looks very unassuming, but those secondary effects truly start to stack - after only 1 turn on the field, Rapid Spin is a damage dealing Agility. Get a Bulk Up or two and one Rapid Spin let's you outspeed the entire metagame in an instant. Not to be trifled with. Ofc this doesn't mention aspects like Liquidation, Scald, Body Slam or Ice Beam, alot of these being truly a pain to deal with after only a single turn out. Not sure on Boomburst yet with the stackables either but that's not the most pressing issue here.

:Palafin: I don't think removal of Jet Punch is necessary here, especially with how prevalent Unaware is and it's lack of any form of additional boosting. I think even Stored Power might be a useful tool to make this Pokémon much more consistent of a sweeper given poor stats.

Ok those are my thoughts, giving 48 Hours to fix these submissions or for you to add new ones.

More personal note, kinda disappointing how little strayed from the Water typing this slate. Especially considering how saturated Water types are in our metagame, I'd hope greater creativity would be done to explore options outside of the typing. I've heard the excuses, I don't really by them, considering even the last slate just added another Water type using a Pokemon that has nothing to do with the typing. Multiple slates have done it before, I just wished it was more diverse. Carry on ig.

Final Totems we do for this mod (Raticate and Mimikyu get fucked). Normals can be as versatile or changable as ever, but I am actually actively encouraging experimentation on Togedemaru, since we have two Electric/Steel types that probably will do Togedemaru better anyways. Good luck!

New Pokémon Name: Gumshoos-Insectoid
Stat Changes: 90 / 110 / 130 / 50 / 60 / 75 [BST: 515]
Typing Changes:

Ability Changes: Stakeout | Strong Jaw
Fell Stinger, Fire Fang, First Impression, Ghost Bite, Ice Fang, Leech Life, Psychic Fangs, Psyshield Bash, Thunder Fang
Bug Buzz, Confusion, Psybeam, Psychic
Ally Switch, Morning Sun, Trick, Trick Room
Body Slam, Bide, Bulldoze, Dual Chop, Earthquake, Endeavor, Fire Punch, Ice Punch Iron Head, Last Resort, Pursuit, Seed Bomb, Thrash, Trailblaze, Thunder Punch
Echoed Voice
Block, Odor Sleuth
What Separates it from Other Forms: Using its high physical bulk, it baits U-Turns to revenge switch-in's with very powerful STAB moves thanks to stakeout or other coverage moves. Moves like First Impression and U-Turn synergize with switches and naturally punish them. If Gumshoos wanted to, it can go for Strong Jaw to just be a really strong wallbreaker with Psychic Fangs and Ghost Bite, as well as packing the elemental fangs for added coverage.

Blizzard, Cruel Chill, Ice Beam
Coil, Hail, Spikes, Thunder Wave
Ice | 16 PP | 75 | 100% | Special | Drains 75% of the damage dealt; 100% if the target is statused.
What Separates it from Other Forms: Offensive Unaware tank with utility at its disposal or a pretty decent sweeper with Hustle.

New Pokémon Name: Togedemaru
Stat Changes: 70 / 90 / 156 / 44 / 70 / 100 [BST: 530]
Typing Changes:

Ability Changes: Spiky and Round
Iron Barbs + The damage of this Pokémon's STAB moves used on consecutive turns is increased (by 10%) up to a maximum of 1.5x after 5 turns.
Bullet Punch, Body Press, Rapid Spin, Rock Blast, Rock Slide, Spin Out, Stone Edge
Aura Sphere, Energy Ball
Bulk Up, Stealth Rock, Swords Dance
Spark, Wild Charge
Charge Beam, Discharge, Electro Ball, Electroweb, Rising Voltage, Shock, Thunder, Thunderbolt, Thunder Shock, Volt Switch
Electric Terrain
What Separates it from Other Forms: A very funky setup sweeper that effectively has three items at once. It can be used as a support pokemon with Wish, its ability is very versatile on setup sets. The combination of Rock Slide and Bullet Punch as a finisher, or Dual Flinch attacks. Spin Out + Gyro Ball or Bullet Punch is a funny combination, probably not very effective. The strongest combination is simply spamming Rollout. However, Togedemaru lacks coverage. it can run Zing Zap, Zen Headbutt or Body Press on BU sets just to hit pokemon it may not deal with very well, but its ability also accounts for just racking up damage anyway.

New Pokémon Name: Totemaru
Stat Changes: 90 / 127 / 70 / 65 / 73 / 90 [BST: 515]

Flare Blitz, Pyro Ball, Rapid Spin
Fire Blast Flamethrower, Overheat
Belly Drum, Spikes, Will-o-Wisp
Nuzzle, Spark, Wild Charge
Charge Beam, Discharge, Electro Ball, Electroweb, Rising Voltage, Shock, Thunder, Thunderbolt, Thunder Shock, Volt Switch

What Separates it from Other Forms: Offensive Pivot with a ground immunity. Can turn into a threatening sweeper with Belly Drum.
