just a question about the analysis, i noticed that some pokemon that need max speed use the 31/31/31/31/31/30 Hp ice combo. Like Blaziken, however, isnt that one max speed better than like the 3 stat point increase?

it's actually the same, it depends if you want the hidden power ice or not. otherwise it's just a matter of opinion.

I would only run a 31/30/30/31/31/31 (or similar with 31 speed)
combo on pokes who really need the extra speed point.
Like Gengar.

i agree, only when you need a speed point extra to defeat a certain targeted pokemon. there are loads of examples of that too.

Actually, Hitmontop counters boah and can Rapid Spin. What would a good moveset be? Max HP / Defense EVs to work with Intimidate.

Rapid Spin / Rest / Fighting move... / other... move...

Do you fall asleep under sunlight after using rest with leaf gaurd? Not sure how this one works.

I'm pretty sure you fall asleep when you use rest, and once the turn is done you wake up as if you had a lum berry.

My question is very simple, were the fuck do you get Choice Specs in-game?

Rennex I think it's really freaking counter-productive to be running close combat on a pokemon that #1 has intimidate and #2 you are trying to raise defense by using bulk up. I think Rapid Spin/Rest/Mach Punch/Bullet Punch makes a lot more sense. Plus using bulk up only to be completely walled by a ghost type rules.

The most north-east house in Celestic Town, you need to talk with the guy, I believe in the morning, but it may be the afternoon. (You can also get Wise Glasses and Black Glasses with him, at different times of the day.)

Can someone explain me how to use the Google Search bar to search on smogon forums only?

@Pim: Just type your search string into the box. As long as it's not a Pokemon or move name it will search the forums. To bypass the site search add and in front of the query. Google treats it as an operator and doesn't search for it.

I was just browsing the Blisscents rankings looking for an alternative special wall and I came across Muk.
I never realized that he had such high stats, so I decided to try and make a special walling set for him. The main problem I ran into is that he doesn't have much in the way of support moves, and he has no real way of recovering HP effectively.

Because of that, I decided to try and make a resttalking Muk set, but with only two moveslots, he ends up being walled by something consistently. Right now I'm looking at running Gunk Shot with Payback, but then I get walled hardcore by Steels and Rock types, so instead of Payback, I thought of putting Brick Break. In that case, I get walled hardcore by Gengar.

Now you may just say put Brick Break and Shadow Sneak/Payback, but after running some damage calculations, I do truly pitiful damage to well.. everything without a substantial EV investment.

I guess my question is if a resttalking Muk is even viable and if so, which two moves I should use?

With the ability No Guard, I know the all of the user's attacks are practically 100% sure hit, but this ability also make the opponent's move have 100% accuracy?

So, if you were in a double battle, would your partner poke be affected by No Guard as well?
Only attacks directly involving the No Guard Pokemon - whether being used by it or used against it - will have 100% accuracy. anything else has normal accuracy.

Question of my own. What determines how hard it is to run away from a wild Pokemon? Is it level difference, Speed difference, or some combination of the two?
