Was that the first time the Ursaluna had hit the field, or had it been chipped earlier?

So without seeing the rematch, my hypothesis is that after Cresselia fainted, they sent in something totally healthy which didn't use up the Lunar Dance (perhaps to set something else like Screens up or to weaken a Luna check), which you fainted without another weakened mon coming in after, and then they went into the Chipped Luna being the heal recipient.

5 Turns is quite a time for that to last, depending on how it interacts with Hazards
Same goes for Healing Wish. I feel my gameplay will have improved once I properly learn how to utilize HW for extended rounds.

On the flipside, you can easily accidentally get the wrong one. These moves feel like a skill ckeck

Ok thank all of you for the quick responses! I think Cresselia was the First mon in the match and used Lunar Dance very early, Ursaluna came in and received massive damage and switched Out, other mon came in and faded and then Luna came back and got healed

good to know now that the healing is saved basically endless until finally a mon comes in that can be healed

thank you !!!

Would Pixie Plate be of any use on Iron Valiant? Or is is just overkill?
Main issue is that one of Valiant's main appeals is his incredible coverage, which Pixie Plate doesn't help with outside Moonblast. People run Booster Energy for Speed to sweep with, or stuff like Specs or Expert Belt because he can hit a LOT of stuff SE.

It's not bad but it's probably more specific to teams that REALLY favor the Fairy damage in particular (given Valiant is one of only a few Fairy types in OU).

To add something to this, if you want to commit to use mainly moonblast, specs is usually better, not only boost your other attacks but also allows you to trick and lock a defensive Pokémon into one move if needed.

I just lost to a TR team, the turning point in the match was his Ursaluna recovering to full health out of nowhere.
His Cresselia used Lunar Dance around 5 rounds before that it must have somerhing to do with that…
In the round before the recovery I Made the first kill of the Match…

came someone please explain to me how exacly Lunar Dance works… ?

Just to add to what carbonislife mentioned...

There is a difference between Healing Wish and Lunar Dance, in that the latter also restores PP. However this has an important implication, in that if a Pokemon is at full health, with no status condition BUT has lost at least 1 PP, then Lunar Dance will activate but Healing Wish wont. This makes Lunar Dance a bit trickier to store in very specific situations.

For example in this replay Healing Wish gets used until after Kingambit is damaged.

Meanwhile, in this replay Lunar Dance is used as soon as Kingambit comes in even if its at full health and with no status, cause it already used 1 PP.

Oh snap! You have no idea the headache I would have gotten after squeezing Cres on my team! I swear there would have been a post here next week!

Is Focus Blast/ Aura Sphere preferred over Thunderbolt on Calm Mind Iron Valiant sets now? I assumed a fighting move would be better and more useful to use than Thunderbolt due to the ability to threaten Heatran and Corviknight at the same time, while also OHKOing Garganacl and Kingambit before Tera.

it comes down to the fact that focus blast is extremely unreliable, and aura sphere is an underwhelming move in terms of power. that being said, CM sets are really customizable and comes down to preference and what your team needs. corv weak teams may run tbolt because it needs something to hit corv effectively. calm mind sets tend to look like this
- Calm Mind
- Moonblast
- Aura Sphere/Shadow Ball/Thunderbolt
- one of the above/Encore

a lot of people have been opting to drop CM though altogether and just running mixed or straight up SD to have more reliable fighting STAB, an SD set would look something like this

Iron Valiant @ Booster Energy
Ability: Quark Drive
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Spirit Break
- Close Combat
- Knock Off
- Swords Dance

Iron Valiant @ Booster Energy
Ability: Quark Drive
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 24 Atk / 232 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Moonblast
- Close Combat
- third attacking move/destiny bond/setup/encore
- fourth attacking move/destiny bond/setup/encore

to answer in simplest form: valiant is extremely customizable and the movesets often depend on what your team needs.

When will the results on Zamazenta-Hero be finalized?

The deadline to post your voting requirements will be June 26th at 11:59 pm (GMT-4).

Blind voting goes out at the same time, and the vote goes on for a few days usually, and a result may be announced before then if we reach thresholds where missing votes don't affect the result.

ah i see how it works

I'm trying to build a TR team, posted it in the Trainer Academy chat in PS and basically got mocked. What are the staples of TR this gen? I'm running HW Hat, Boots Glowking, Specs Enam-T, SP Cress, IronPress H-Goodra and QCQD Glowbro. Ofc I wanna add stuff like Luna and what not, but I don't know how to make TR consistent.

I’m a BO user, and pretty stoked that Zama-H is staying in the tier. That being said, I know very little about the meta, and the new Pokémon. What would be some suggestions for partners with Zama-H on a BO team?

I had a question, I know it's not "meta" but if I wanted to use Regidrago what kinds of sets would folk recommend? I know on the physical side it gets DD, Outrage and EQ and on the special side Earth Power and Meteor, is there a preference? Also unrelated what item and tera would one run on H. Electrode, should I just run Ice and treat it as a diet zero cal eleki?

For Electrode Hisui I would recommend Tera types be Grass / Ice / Ground (Tera Blast included), item can either be Focus Sash or Choice Specs.

For Regidrago the 2 common sets are the Dragon Dance set you mentioned a bit as well as Choice Specs (recommendations is based off team but I prefer the Choice Specs variant)

:Regidrago:
Regidrago @ Choice Specs
Ability: Dragon's Maw
Tera Type: Dragon
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Dragon Energy
- Draco Meteor
- Dragon Pulse
- Earth Power

What is the DD set? DD, Outrage/DClaw, EQ, Tera Blast/Other Coverage. Life orb, Adamant 252 atk/4 spD/252 spe? Or would you run more bulk over speed investment since your aiming to set up with DD.

Regidrago @ Leftovers / Life Orb / Dragon Fang
Ability: Dragon's Maw

- Outrage / Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Substitute / Thunder Fang / Tera Blast
- Dragon Dance

Something like this shoutout to Loginator

the most often seen staples in TR are Cresselia, Hatterene and Ursaluna, which you have all got. Specs Enam is also used a lot, but you might want to use LO rather not to waste TR turns. here's a set:

Enamorus-Therian (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Overcoat
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Mystical Fire
- Moonblast
- Earth Power
- Healing Wish / Grass Knot

SP Cress is also not very good, you'd be better using a support set with Healing Wish, Trick Room, and two of Psychic, Ice Beam, Calm Mind and Tera Blast (Fighting). Fighting tera is an emergency button I like to use against Kingambit endgames as it's very unexpected.

Iron Press Goodra is not very good in TR, as you have only 4 attacking turns: you thus need to be able to do a lot of damage really quickly. My personal pick is often Kingambit, either with Lum Berry or Black Glasses and Swords Dance. You can also drop Sucker Punch for Low Kick, even if I usually don't.

Glowbro is quite useless, it doesn’t hit very hard and Quick Claw is useless as you’ll hit first anw.

Other Pokémon fitting in TR are Iron Hands, Hoopa-Unbound and Glastrier with Tera.

Drago has had a couple sets posted, so I'll throw in a link to the old Metagame thread where our boy Morkal went over Kantonian-Electrode, as it includes an addendum for Hisuian Electrode and mentions it's more or less the same-but-better for the niche described there.

It's hyper specific but there are ways to play with it that look quite interesting, just be aware the post-Home Meta has probably changed things slightly with both new additions and some old bans like Volcarona (pending next Survey) and is subject to change from any other upcoming tiering action.

Electrode

"Electrode tends to live in power plants where fresh electricity is being generated, which it consumes. As a result, it often causes blackouts. The more electric energy Electrode consumes, the faster it moves." - Bulbapedia

"Electrode having the propensity to explode describes my mental state after finishing finals last semester" - Morkal

Would you say torn-t is underrated, underexplored, or underwhelming. It definitely seems quite good still despite the infamous bleakwind/hurricane/heat wave misses, even if it losing knock off hurts.

It feels underexplored at the moment, and I am sure it will find its way back into OU if it drops to UU.
