I think you're delving into this a bit too much; imo you should just keep it simple and not start venturing into latin/etc. It's not that you can't do that if you want, but choosing a latin name for a pokemon is...maybe too much :/
It sounds fine to me, but then again it's your CP so you get to name it whatever you want^^

Azul means "blue" in Portuguese/Spanish; I suppose it could be modeled after the Leviathan in the bible (mythical serpent, that sort of stuff)
Azul was a god of the sea btw; that's why I thought of it

Azuli without the L is nice; there was a mythical god named "Azul" in either ancient greek or roman mythology (I forget which), and Azuli could be the feminine version...?
