  • Do you see that leaderboarding team of mine? No electric resist eh? It also uses 5 physical sweepers. It is a very powerful team too, even to this day. It went 3-3 vs the Smogon Frontier. It consistently beats teams with Skarmory too. Skarmory can't win vs 5 boosters.

I think Dusclops and Dusknoir both suck too. Dusknoir is better though. It gets lefties and can use punches effectively. XD
I like physical because it is much easier to break physical walls with boosted STAB's rather than Blissey. Most physically inclined threats lack reliable recovery. Things like Hippowdon are less common, and get worn down really quick. They just can't keep up. Calm Minders also make breaking through with special sweepers harder too. Latias comes to mind.

There is also a greater amount of viable physical sweepers. For example, your Nasty Plot Celebi won't beat a Blissey, but your SD Infernape can beat Gliscor if it is around 70%. You can't do that with Blissey effectively since its just way too bulky, and has recovery.

http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=53728 - To be fair though, Stathakis had an all special attackers team.

I will finish helping you later. More importantly it is a MYTH that you need to use 3 special attackers and 3 physical attackers. Those last two pokemon could be physical, both, or special. I prefer physical though.

A purely physical team. Anyone who says "oh, you need more special attackers. Oh, you only have 2 physical attackers." is silly. Just because you have two physical attackers doesn't make you Blissey weak. It is often the case but... not always.
I can list several great pokemon which can get raped by special attacks lol. You run a Blissey. 252HP/120Def/136SpDef Bold
Yeah, its pretty cool lol. There isn't a spinner on every team, but god... we need a ghost. If we were to fight Tentacruel or Starmie, we would be in for some crap.

Use Sabelye, its really good against hyper offense especially. It can break more defensive teams too. It is also very good against Espeon which can deflect hazards. Now you have like a platform of 3 status moves.
Thunder Wave is better in my opinion because it makes Blissey much much harder to set-up on and Thunder Wave is very annoying. It also gives you some variety with status moves. Milotic has Toxic, and Blissey has Thunder Wave. It gives you that "pick your poison" kind of mentality depending on the situation. Walls you Toxic, Thunder Wave the sweepers.

Flamethrower gets neutered by Rain, but it may be useful for Ferrothorn. Try it.
Finding a Stealth Rocker which fits a team perfectly is easier said than done. We don't want a pokemon on the team which is just thrown on just for Stealth Rock. It really isn't ubiquitous.

I personally have a rule when I build a team. I don't run inferior sets just for Stealth Rock. Its either Stealth Rock fits perfectly on the team, or I go without it. Or I just go back to square one.

Use Aromatherapy, its probably better anyway. This is a team which needs Stealth Rock though. There may be no "rock immediatly" lead metagame anymore, but Stealth Rock still hurts Volcarona, Dragonite, and it puts things into kill range. The damage from Stealth Rock adds up quick.
We could do Aromatherapy > Stealth Rock. Now we need to look a spinblocker, a stealth rocker, and patching up the rest of the team.
I had slow sweepers be paralyzed for 4 turns in a row before. People can say "oh, its a slow pokemon" but not when you don't act several turns in a row lol. Paralysis always feels disgusting.

Milotic should win against specially defensive Jirachi either way. Iron Head only has 24 PP. It doesn't matter if you aren't paralyzed. You have 16 Recovers, and they need to flinch a full health Milotic to death. A burn is always helpful though.

Team looks fine so far btw.
They also both hate paralysis. Everything hates paralysis because hax sucks. Probably, but you never know if we would need it. Wish support is always good. I wish, Terrakion comes in. I switch to Skarmory and take 50% from a Close Combat. Skarmory then gets healed instead of being 2HKO'd. The possibilities are endless.

Also, don't give up on Alice's stall team. Its very good lol. I used it on the ladder and had some fun with it. You just need practice. I don't think its hard to play at all. Rotom W isn't all that hard in my experience either and we can fix other problems.
I don't like Roserade very much. I am going to make a Ferrothorn/Zapdos/Jellicant team. Yeah, Blissey, Skarmory, and Blissey are decent.

Yes, Aromatherapy or Stealth Rock could definitly work. Although if we need Wish, I am using Wish lol. I don't want to hinder the team just because its an event move. We need a team which wins first, and worry about principles later.

We can't be picky until we get you a good team. ^^
Sabelye is good because of its typing and prankster. Better than Spiritomb right now definitly.

Also, I am back to the drawing board with that team I sent you. Alice's Milotic stall is good though. We should go with that or use Skarmory/Blissey/Milotic or something.
Sabelye is not overhyped. It is very good and is still low tier.

Jellicant has good enough defenses and has that fighting resist. The difference in special attack is also negligable considering they focus on burning things. :(

Also, no problem! You can have this new team I built for Alice too.
Yeah, you wouldn't need Blissey on your team imo. It could work on a different kind of Milotic team, but not this one. Most likely one with Skarmory.

I sent you my version of your team. It should work and uses Calm Mind Latios. ;)
Hey, gratz; yeah, they do work and make a nice core. Bliss/chansey ain't bringing too much to your team since you already have a couple of special tanks, and milotic can take unboosted special attacks not named t-bolt/leaf storm, so it's fine. You're better off focusing on covering your physical weaknesses...

PS: I rather use lava plume or flamethrower for stalltran, unless you want fire blast's power for something specific
Nidoqueen actually counters Terrakion without Earthquake btw. ^^

Lets actually start from scratch. If you want to use Blissey, I would probably use a more offensive Heatran with Air Balloon. Oh, use Ice Fang > Taunt on the Gliscor set I gave you for now. I made a typo.
I feel like we're having a political debate here! Sure, try Bold Milo, but personally I like Calm. I doubt the difference in nature will win/lose you too many games.
both milotic and heatran cover that Ice weakness, so it's fine; gliscor should help because right now you have terrakion issues; and d-nite can function well as a bulky late game sweeper (I'm leaning towards stone-nite or something similar). As for a fast sweepet, use deoxys-S sweeper set, it will help GREATLY against the likes of haxorus or mence...

Lefties is better for tran to tank latios, and balloon to have a chance against dd dragons (but if you want to check dd dragons then use hp ice over toxic)
I personally like Gliscor right now. Stallbreaker is a good set. Good with hazards too.

Spiritomb is a sitting duck. It has barely any resistences, Rest/Talk got nerfed, and has a terrible movepool. Its good in UU and I have a good Spiritomb team in OU but I really don't think its very good at all right now.

If you want a badge, you shouldn't just sit there. You should get to work. Here are all the types of badges you can earn. http://www.smogon.com/forums/faq.php?faq=smogon#faq_badges

Magic Coat is good on things like Smeargle. To guarantee a Shell Smash. It also isn't a terrible idea on lead Deoxys S.
Or you could just use a solid physical tank like Gliscor in another slot. Bold is alright, but I dunno what the point of it is...Milo can't tank Terrakion or Landorus that well anyway.
lava plume/fire blast, protect, stealth rock, roar/toxic

your choice on slashes, whatever fits you better :)
