If you're using the 7.2beta, I found an error in the code that was messing with the shiny egg part, and you might want to redownload the corrected version.
You should have 5 in your party if you're about to capture a poke to check your seed. And it's 2 * number in party, and yes, coin advances by one. So if you're going for frame 107, you would double tap happiness 7 times (7+1) * 12 = 96 and flip the coin 10 times 10 * 1 = 10. 96 + 10 = 106 + 1 = 107, the frame you were aiming for.
