Well. I don't know if you noticed that when you do clone in your pokemon box, the numbers start to go up. When you use the clone code in HGSS, after holding R and moving the pokemon the page has to be refreshed in order for it to take full effect. It won't show if you just hold the R button and move the pokemon.

Basically what you do is, You pick up the pokemon> Hold R> Move space over & place down pokemon>Press Y button on the pokemon your cloning to go to it's summary> Press B and your clone should be there. (You can tell the clone code worked when the number goes up. Just remember to keep refreshing when you clone.) If the code doesn't work, I can send you the one I used for my SS cart. Idk if it'll work for HG but it could be worth a shot.
