Saw your post in the thread, so just answering here. All the Pokemon are re-encounterable after you beat the game from either their original trainers or Miror B, so no worries about missing out. And don't forget, there is always the unlimited Master Ball glitch!

Just let DR.PROTECT evolve, act like he is not evolved, and consider him evolved after you get the moves. I don't want you to have dead weight for part of the game.
