Recover is probably more viable, except that I want to use an Umbreon Wish passer on my team. That means I am free to use Rapid Spin. Here is a link to the page with my lead strategy (posting in next VM).
I think that the speed is necessary. Modest may do more damage, but its mostly beter to be able to gaurentee you attacking first. I found about 7 or 8 Modest ones when I was looking for mine, and only the one Timid one. Most people use Modest, so I use Timid so I can outspeed them. It really depends on the rest of the team.
