Pip, for The Supreme Alliance, wouldn't it be a good idea to transfer ownership of the group every week to everyone associated with the group? (Like US Presidency) so everyone gets a chance to have control of the supreme alliance? S everyone is "equal" and it promotes trust in members by giving ownership of the group every week or so?
Well, at least the Supreme Alliance is doing better than some of your other bring-everyone-together groups in that it hasn't completely turned into argumentfest already.
