Kind of, yeah. Right now, in addition to that Gothita I have a shiny Koffing (my first one that I caught) in Emerald, and shiny Tentacool and Golbat in SS. I did run into Sableye in Sapphire, Shellder in FireRed and Machop in LeafGreen, but I fled because I was so freaked out.
I don't know how to RNG in Gen IV, but I did give it a try, but I failed.
Yeah, I can't wait till Jarardo comes out with part 16 of his B/W Nuzlocke.
It kinda looks cool, now that you said it. Speaking of shinies, I used to have 4 non-RNGed shinies in Platinum (Roselia, Sneasel, Marill, Blissey) and 1 in HeartGold (Mewtwo) before I lost them in an airport on the way to the US during my summer vacation.
I haven't done one either; I'm too scared to do one. I suggest you read JarardoMartino's Nuzlocke comics (check his art thread) because they're freakin' hilarious.

Well, the DMP thread has a few of what I've done while you've been absent.
I don't intend on finding shinies because they tend to take a while to find. But I did get a shiny Gothita in Black without RNGing whatsoever. It's Naive, though. :/
