Haha! Well I found out that wild Shiny (grass/cave/water) aren't that easy, because the encounter slots aren't mapped (IIRC), so my Shiny Tepig was easier =P But nonetheless, getting a Shiny on a retail game, without an external device it sooooooooooooooooooo awesome! It feels like getting a Random shiny (at least for me, since I hate delays and used an emu in the other gens)

I personally haven't used that method to find my SID yet, but you probably need the exact date and time you loaded the game. That could either be from the DS Menu or from a soft reset. Good luck c:
