Actually, while akainu might have lost in "scuffle" against Whitebeard, I think he was the true winner of marineford. He crippled Whitebeard by tricking his own subordinate into attacking him, killed Ace, almost killed Luffy (and crushed his spirit in the process) and was just an all around thug.
My favorite Admiral is Kizaru since he's an great troll and an amazing fighter.
