The metagame is a lot less centralized. You run into a lot of different teams especially when you play Japanese players. You're not running into the same zapdos/metagross/hitmontop/Latios over and over.

Ya I usually just ignore games if I lost to a really important crit or they were able to double protect three times in a game or other haxy things. If I can still pull out a win when I get haxed that's a good sign though lol.

I know how you feel. I liked my regional team, but it turns out it had major problems with standard rain if Abomasnow went down. So I made a completely new team on PO that did pretty well and got pretty high up the ladder but I really didn't like it that much. So I ended kind of throwing them together and I like it pretty well so far. We'll see if I still like it after I test some more.

We're leaving early Friday morning. Do you have your team ready? I still don't.

Oh wow that doesn't seem fun. If you didn't have class Thursday night I was gonna say you could leave Thursday and stay at our house; my sisters and mom are leaving Thursday to go to Dallas (they're taking a vacation while we take one :P), so we'd have plenty of room and you could just leave before we leave for the airport. As it is y'all are going to be dead tired the whole weekend lol

Hey! I was thinking about nationals the other day and meeting everybody again and I remembered you were going with your friend. Are you guys driving all the way up there, or busing, or taking a flight? The former 2 seem like they'd be really annoying lol.

I thought about that on the drive back from Houston! I really don't know much about the team you had either. If we both make it to nats maybe we can have a battle then. Or we can just have a practice battle whenever.

We're trying to get a trip planned out already lol . It would be awesome to hangout again.

In any case, yes - it was great being able to meet you and mrbopper in-person... 'twas weird at first ('cause I'm an awkward guy), but it made the experience much better having friends there with me. Thanks for all of your help - I never would've been rank 24 without your suggestions, etc. I regret making terribly noob-ish mistakes in my later battles that cost me a place in the top 16 - continuous battling over the course of 4-hours hurt my brain (and heart) more than I realized. Nevertheless, I hope to do much better next year and to see you again (tho, I'll probably be all over PO regardless... and thus will encounter you there frequently).
