Project Monotype Teambuilding Workshop

Requesting a mono poison team built around Glimmora. The archetype of the team can be anything as well as the glimmora set.

requesting a water team [preferably rain] with choice band crawdaunt
I know Crawdaunt has a too low viability ranking to be able to be seriously submit here but I've made a rain team with it.
Issue of this mon is Archaludon. You need to play Jolly to be able to outspeed defensive variant and 2HKO with Close Combat choice band.
I have made this team. It's a very generic rain team with Pelipper to setup weather and pivot, Swampert for defensive pivot and hazard setter, Tentacruel for another pivot and hazards management. I've choosed Kingdra here instead of Barraskewda since you already have a choice band mon and you need to be able to hit Dragons effectively. Last mon is Urshifu-RS scarf which gives momentum and is able to keep a bit of speed outside of rain.

Unfort, if we played a better mon there instead of Crawdaunt, most of my test games were way simpler tbh.

Hi, here are your Glimmora teams:
Amoonguss variant: https://pokepast.es/fee25a5da50ca37d
Tentacruel variant: https://pokepast.es/b987da2ab12738b3
I'm not the biggest fan of Glimmora overall but this is a team that it can function on. Scarf is being used to provide some speed control, a leg up in the fire MU and general surprise check to a lot of things as during testing, a lot of people where caught off guard by Glimmora being fast and clicking before them (notably, I won a fair few Kleavor V Glim lead MUs solely because they thought they would just get rocks up first and handle my focus sash Glim later).
A few notes about teammates more, unique, options.
:Muk-Alola: Rockslide is being ran as with double Poison STAB on our offensive mons we don't particularly need PJab and this greatly improves our Volcarona MU as Scarf Glim is not a reliable check to Volcarona.
:Pecharunt: I just like Foul Play on parting shot runt in general since it gives it a superior Scizor matchup and with itemless, makes it a strong Ceruledge check. Boots is on the Cruel team as Ceru is less of a problem there.
:Weezing-Galar: 12 speed EVs outspeeds TTar and Hoodra.

Amoonguss V Tentacruel. With Amoonguss we have a reliable switch in to Water-types, espessically SD Urshifu-R and Rain boosted attacks as awhole but it does slow our team down considerably meanwhile Tentacruel isn't a super strong water check into the big attackers but does grant another pivot option along with improving our fire MU overall and increasing the teams pace. Its going to come down to preference but I do think the Amoonguss variant is stronger, but Tentacruel is more enjoyable to goof around with.

Thank you so much I like both of the teams!!

Requesting a Water Monotype Team

I am trying to play the Team on a Pixelmon Server as a Gym Leader, so while i am Monotype my enemies might come with hard counter teams.
Hisuian Samurott works differently (worse, as it does not put spikes down and just deals continuos damage like poison over time until a mon switches out). Walking Wake, Palafin, Iron Bundle, Dracovish and Palkia are also not allowed.

I don't mind to test around with it a little bit (currently testing it in Gen9 Natdex) and there is no specific mons i need in it

Already many thanks for reading this and creating a team, if yall are doing it!

Pardon me, I would like to request a mono dark team surrounded around Mandibuzz and Crawdaunt if at all possible with the conditions of being in natdex ou.

I've tried pairing them up with things like choiceband/choicescarf Meowscarada, Spiritomb, Alolan Muk, and Ting-lu, though I find that not only do they struggle against the fighting type, there's a noticeable ice weakness along with a struggle to deal with poison mono teams and even Archaludon. And that's not even factoring in other environments where folks aren't restrained to one type. I've tried things out like having Greninja on the team and it's coverage is great, though I find myself struggling to pick four moves out for it as it always seems to wish to run more, I also struggled and pondered if a mega-houndoom would be benaficial. I probably would prefer a more offensive playstyle with a bit of a defensive backbone, though any suggestions would be appreciated!

I do apologize to bother now, and hope whoever reads this has a splendid day!

Requesting a fire team built around Cinderace. I think Libero could be a cool mechanic in monotype, for example, giving it trailblaze to counter water or even acrobatics for ground types. Not sure how viable this really is, but it could be interesting

requesting a dragon and fire team
If you're looking for these I would highly recommend checking out the sample thread here: https://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/sv-monotype-sample-teams-may-2025.3733750/post-9919700
This will have what you are looking for.

Checking out the sample thread (linked above) will give you what you want as Cinderace is on both Fire samples right now.

If going for Natdex OU, I would possibly try to look around there and see if they have resources that could help you. But there is a good chance they won't as OU formats are historically quite hostile to mono teams. Maybe asking around Natdex would lead to better results.

I would check out the Natdex sample thread as it would likely have what you are looking for: https://www.smogon.com/forums/threa...-sample-teams-ver-2-submissions-open.3733806/

Sorry for the lack of unique teams, but these should give you folk what you desire team wise hopefully.

Hello all, I would like to request a mono steel team centered around aegislash.

Since steel has been regarded as the strongest defensive typing and aegislash is my favourite pokemon I'd love to have a team centred around them, personally I prefer the more defensive movesets for them especially in this format, however I've struggled to find acceptable team mates for it that synergise well, especially since I know the pokemon is rarely used nowadays. If anyone has any good suggestions and doesn't want to create an entire team sheet I'm happy to accept pokemon suggestions and I will create movesets. Thanks in advance !

Edit: Just realised aegislash is banned... I would like to change my pokemon of choice to be an excadrill if possible, where in this case they'd be closer to a set-up sweeper

This is National Dex Monotype since Aegislash isn't available in gen 9. You should check out the Natdex sample thread as it would likely have what you are looking for: https://www.smogon.com/forums/threa...-sample-teams-ver-2-submissions-open.3733806/

Requesting a rock team around Coalossal + Rhyperior
https://pokepast.es/4378de1006c934a1
I think Rhyp is hard to fit in monotype, is niche according to me would be is ground type, ability and general good HP and Att. Coalossal is Scizor and other physical attackers check + Spinner. I went sandless rock since Exca is way too free otherwise against rock.
We're using Glimmora with balloon to have a ground immunity to set up hazards and mess gently with special damages. Ogerpon is a must have and we are using a anti ground and water set here with trailblaze as last move since you want to have a chance and Coalossal + Rhyp + Glimm can help with steel mons. Boulder is our necessary scarf to help with dark and general speed control. Diancie TR is our dragon killer.

Requesting a mono flying team around Flamigo. Figured Scrappy would be a cool team against the Steel and even Dragon MU for flying. Once again the archetype doesn’t matter so go crazy!!
https://pokepast.es/d8dc8ed6f14eb892
Kinda offensive flying with double scarf. Flamigo is cool ! Spdef Corvi defog + Def Gliscor is a nice combo, Gyara is here to help with physical ice and water moves and also gives a nice wincond against ground. Dnite is here to help to break and gives a nice priority to the team.
