I want the last stretch of the PvE ranks to be all mega users except for one guy whose ace is a Flygon.Personally I'm just waiting for the shitshow that will ensue after they reveal all the new megas and none of them is Flygon.

(I wish gamers were less uptight about getting playfully trolled by devs, because I find this kind of thing incredibly funny. Still to this day I think the most hilarious missed opportunity for BDSP would have been for Mindy to trade you a Haunter with an Everstone, and then afterward say, “Oh, whoops! I meant to have it hold this! [gives the player a Gengarite in a game with no Mega Ring])

Considering the amount of times devs of various franchise have got *extremely aggressive* fans resort to personal attacks and even death threats on socials over development decisions, I honestly don't blame a lot of devs for having decided to detach from the playerbase and just don't do any meme anymore.
A shame but it's a case of "we brought this on ourselves".

I'd be more of a troll and have her hand over a Reaper Cloth and say "I heard a Ghost-type needs to hold this to evolve, guess now I'll never know".
Bonus:
* Show her Gaspar as a Gengar: "So Haunter only needs to be traded to evolve into a Gengar? Guess I was off track there. Here's something to help Gaspar really spook the competition". Gives a Shadow Ball TM.
* Show her a Dusknoir: "OH! So when a Dusclops is traded with a Reaper Cloth it evolves into a Dusknoir. Thank you! Can you figure out which Ghost needs this to evolve?". Gives Dusk Stone.
* Show her a Mismagius afterwards: "Yup! A Misdreavus given a Dusk Stone evolves into a Mismagius!". Talk to her again: "What? I already knew Misdreavus evolved into Mismagius with a Dusk Stone. Were you expecting an award? Greedy, I already gave you the Dusk Stone, sheesh.".

I actually really like that Dnite design as a sequel to Dragonaire. Why not just keep that?
The thing is, they could have changed the ability already. It does work with skill swap etc shenanigans, and you'd think they'd want to stop that at the least. Instead they keep on just barely blocking it from being possible.
(TBH just Dexit all OHKO moves, they deserve it far more than most of the moves that they've deleted so far).

I do like the current rollout of mega reveals, it feels very playful and memorable, but I find the pacing a little bit weird? Like, we had Mega Dragonite showing up randomly in a trailer a month ago, then they went a bit silent to prepare for Worlds, in which we got a gameplay trailer focused on PvP, and now we're getting new megas basically weekly.
It's not terrible marketing or anything, but it makes the reveals feel kinda sudden, they could have built up to this a little better.

They'd probably reveal starter megas on launch day like how they've been revealing their final forms on launch day in previous Switch games.
I've already seen the leaks ofcourse but I'm hoping there's ones that weren't in it because the leaks were from a very particular spot in time development wise, and one or two of the ones in the initial leak got scrapped apparently anyway.
i think thats the point. theres a difference between machamp being able to ohko (almost) anything turn one for free vs pulling off something like skill swap or gravity or whatever. the latter is sacrificing 2 slots, often the mons doing it are at best suboptimal and at worse straight garbage, and youre not even guaranteed to get results from it. if you can pull that shit off then hobestly you do deserve that ohko
Machamp with Fissure + No Guard has never been legal / allowed in first place in VGC/BSS, so I'm not sure why people keep strawmanning it.
While yes, it's TECNICALLY possible to get this combination if Machamp eventually make it in a game with ability capsules, it's STILL not legal in VGC and never has been due to Fissure being a transfer move. It's possible to obtain No Guard OHKO via Skill Swap shenenigans, Wolfey even won a tournament with it for memes, and guess what, nothing was changed.

I think no guard ohko machamp and terastal shedinja are both probably going to be instantly not allowed by game freak in champions but it is funny how many shooters both of these have.
Tbh Terastal Shedinja is in fact something that will be possible.
It's not gamebreaking, it's annoying to deal with but not invulnerable or anything. We know GameFreaks doesn't do "bans". It's either "all pokemon" or "regional format" or "x restricted per team". (+ the occasional meme format with Mythicals)
People oversell how gamebreaking that is in a format that has no problems with Calyrex, Urshifu and what not. People adapt to them.
Plus in a format where both Terastal and Dynamax are allowed, all it takes is a Max Rockfall and your tera shedinja is gone and you wasted Tera AND a team slot for nothing
(and that's without considering things like Ogerpon, some megas and a bunch of restricted that have MoldBreakeror clones).
