What is STABmons Mix and Mega?
STABmons Mix and Mega (often shortened to STABnMega or SnM) is a mashup between STABmons and Mix and Mega - Pokemon have access to any move of their typing and can use Mega Stones to gain the stats and abilities of those mega evolutions.

all 3 are stupid and allow for stuff to lose to things that otherwise dont beat them (malamarite and zygardite) or is special beedrillite (luc-z) gl in tour all :)

How come no one else is running this on ladder

Meganiumite grants +60 spatk and a fairy typing, turning the stupid horse into an orbital space laser, capable of at least 2hkoing all neutral targets with +2 moongeist bean and beating resists with stab dkiss. It barely grants any bulk, which is a legitimate issue, and no speed, but spectrier is already quite fast and the power is more than worth it

Can we quick ban Transform.

I feel Blissey being in the meta was overlooked.

Blissey just comes in -> mega evolves to boost defense stat -> lives any hit comfortably -> transforms.

255 HP version of whatever you have. Can mega. Has 7 moves to choose from. And its Blissey, so it especially enters on any special attacker. In fact, bring any in might lose you the game.

Swap out into threat? Welp, you didn't damage it, so you gave them whatever you send in at full hp. Hope it wasn't a threat, cause the 714 hp pokemon will win out even if it loses the speed tie. Might not even be a speed tie, cause it can glare you before transforming.

Get every double right or it heals. Taunt or Hazard? According to the rankings above, there is an exceptionally high chance it has magic bounce.

Ban Blissey and it'll just be replaced by snorlax. Transform is the enabler.
To be honest, Transform is very rarely clicked without major punishment and the only teams Blissey fits on are stall teams. Between most teams accidentally Improofing themselves if well-built, the numerous very good physical Fighting-types in the meta (GZap, Ursh, Skewda, Boulder, Zama, Keld, Tusk), and Substitute being incredibly relevant right now, Transform is very iffy at best and at times just straight up detrimental.

Blissey is also a major momentum sink to the point where simply being hit by Volt Switch may set you back incredibly far. Blissey also just can't do any damage or provide utility this generation thanks to losing Toxic on its Ampharosite sets (the only actually good set off of stall), and it doesn't have Boomburst to try to supplement its poor damage. It's so iffy that its ranked low currently and would probably be C+ with an updated VR.

Your argument also doesn't take into account what happens after Blissey switches. Is it healthy? If not, what percentage is it on? Is it below 40%? Congrats, you probably can just remove it without issue on the spot. Maybe it copied a wall so now you get immense momentum in the form of hazard setting or removal or something like that.

Needless to say, I would be very surprised if a vote happened on Blissey, let alone a ban.

EDIT: got a v good replay for pointing out what i said above while just randomly queuing

I run the same set but with Audinite, and while the +60 SpA is good, I find Spectrier Audinite to tank a surprisingly high amount of hits, and it's often able to heal back to full with D Kiss. And no Speed kinda sucks, especially when 130 base Speed is something I find to be lacking at times, especially with most of the best offensive stones granting a lot of Speed, so I prefer to capitalize on bulk, if anything.

This specific team doesn’t seem to link to any form of paste, thought i’d mention.

Anyways i dont even like webs teams but here are some webs users ive been cooking up (all were tested for legality)

Word of warning: i was too lazy to do any actual damage calcs so i’ll probably go back to most of these later and try to include some

Scizor @ Banettite / Heatranite / Offensive Stone / Other
Ability: Technician
Tera Type: Bug
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Sticky Web
- U-turn
- Bullet Punch
- Roost

180 attack and bullet punch, roost, and webs, all make scizor look really valuable. Other options could be Silk trap, first impression, beak blast, or more bulk-oriented stones like Sablenite or scolipite. Vanilla scizorite or a tough claws stone are also on the table for more offensive pressure, heatranite is cool - lots of options for scizor, baller mon.

Slither Wing @ Banettite / Offensive Stone / Other
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Bug
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Sticky Web
- First Impression
- Morning Sun
- Combat Torque

Kleavor @ Banettite / Barbaracite / Staraptite / Offensive Stone / Other
Ability: Sharpness
Tera Type: Bug
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- First Impression/Close Combat
- Stone Axe
- Sticky Web
- U-turn

These two are the physically strongest bug mons available, so i had to mention them and first impression as a form of speed control

Kleavor 100% has the advantage over slither wing imo, since he can hit flyings that dont care all too much about webs anyways, and stone axe is just goated, though i’d like to mention slither wings neutrality to rocks compared to kleavors weakness to them.

Barbaracite also mitigates said weakness to rocks regardless, and staraptite gives intimidate + a rocks resistance, and an amazing offensive typing in Fighting/Rock. Gets the same flying type tools as scizor as well, so there are lots of good options on kleavor too.
Forretress @ Heatranite / Chandelurite
Ability: Sturdy
Tera Type: Bug
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Silk Trap
- Rapid Spin
- Sticky Web
- Gyro Ball

Oh hey thats not banettite. Yeah 75/140/95 (or 75/160/80 for chandelurite) bulk is actually really good considering the guy has no weaknesses. 120 (110) attack also lets it get more mileage out of gyro ball, or leech life if you want a form of healing, and he’s the only bug type that gets rapid spin, other than forme changes (the only two of which being banned (Arceus) or unavailable (Silvally)), which give Forretress a massive niche over other options.

Araquanid @ Audinite / Scolipite / Sablenite
Ability: Water Bubble
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Silk Trap
- Steam Eruption
- U-turn
- Sticky Web

Audinite is funnier than the other two since you don’t actually have any fairy stab, but water/fairy is still a good type defensively regardless. Altarianite + tera blast isnt worth it dont use that

As for the other two stones, scolipite gives more physical attack, and as such may be preferable with physical options like aqua jet or Wave Crash, and gives 1 base speed allowing for the slowest possible pivoting, whereas sablenite gives much more bulk and is probably better when using steam eruption/scald, and “only” hits 12 in base speed.
Another option is keeping araquanid unmega’d or using banettite for prankster shenanigans
Lokix @ Banettite / Absolite z
Ability: Tinted Lens
Tera Type: Bug
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Sticky Web
- Taunt
- Parting Shot/U-turn
- Knock Off

Generally solid support tools in taunt and parting shot, and knock off is a nice tool for anything that cant mega evolve. Absolite z lets you get the jump on some pokemon with a defensive type change as well as a ludicrous +76 speed, though getting zero ghost moves is rough.

Vikavolt @ Banettite / SpAtk Stone / Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
Tera Type: Bug
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
- Thunder Wave
- U-turn/Volt Switch
- Sticky Web
- Thunderclap

More funny than anything, though prankster twave is almost never bad regardless and thunderclap does hit pretty hard off a 145 (or higher) special attack. Shares a trait with Kleavor in the sense that thunderclap or volt switch could help chip down some bulkier flying types (if you play your cards right), but bulky grounds (especially pinsirite tusk) more than likely just completely wall you if you’re not running something like energy ball

Ogerpon is only good with the Aggron stone:

Ogerpon (F) @ Aggronite

Impish Nature

not exactly true, barbaracite and metagrossite are both decent options that take advantage of ogerpon's extended kit. that being said, aggronite is the de-facto set, yes.

nice to see some innovation attempts, but i think its worth saying this quickly. if the webs user cant threaten standard sablenite users (corv, tinglu, pert, pecha, milotic/vaporeon, mandi, somewhat magearna) then the user needs a mold breaker item. in regular mnm the only actual option would be manectite skill swap ribombee since thats the only webs setter that does anything, but here you have options like lucarionite vikavolt, barbaracite kleavor, metagrossite/diancite slither wing, absolite/zardy/hearthmask volcarona, and ampharosite araquanid. anything else is for sure completely unviable. also obviously every webs team needs either gholdengo, heatran, magearna, gambit, or an rsword user, as well as a way to pressure tusk and

nice to see some innovation attempts, but i think its worth saying this quickly. if the webs user cant threaten standard sablenite users (corv, tinglu, pert, pecha, milotic/vaporeon, mandi, somewhat magearna) then the user needs a mold breaker item. in regular mnm the only actual option would be manectite skill swap ribombee since thats the only webs setter that does anything, but here you have options like lucarionite vikavolt, barbaracite kleavor, metagrossite/diancite slither wing, absolite/zardy/hearthmask volcarona, and ampharosite araquanid. anything else is for sure completely unviable. also obviously every webs team needs either gholdengo, heatran, magearna, gambit, or an rsword user, as well as a way to pressure tusk and …
Gonna be real i always forget sablenite gives mbounce and not something else. Guess im going back to the kitchen in terms of webs, then. Thanks for the quick analysis.

Vikavolt @ Diancite
Ability: Levitate
Tera Type: Bug
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Quiver Dance
- Electro Drift
- Bug Buzz
- Energy Ball

Meet the paper railgun
a whopping 205 SpA and less impressive 103 Speed after mega evolved but almost no defenses. the best Strat I've figured out is actually taking advantage of what people expect Vikavolt to do, set up webs so most of the time the first turn they try to set up so just click Quiver Dance. If they do attack Vikavolt is defensive enough (sometimes) to survive the first hit. So if you get that QD off them mega evolve their whole time dies. well except the downsides any priority moves, Special tanks, and going up against rock or fire types before it sets up

Usecase for Absolite Z being added to Hoopa Unbounds prefered stones

Poopa Unflushed (Hoopa-Unbound) @ Absolite Z
Ability: Magician
Tera Type: Psychic
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Poltergeist
- Drain Punch / Sucker Punch
- Photon Geyser
- Hone Claws

Hoopa will have 452 speed vs spectriers and eternatus's 392, ive seen mostly meganiumite spectriers but you can run sucker if you are expecting diancite. Drain Punch is for kingambits, you cant do much against them outside of predicting a switch, you can play the sucker game, and even sucker them first, but id advise just switching out. You also outspeed all 90 speed or below diancite users, and are immune to status moves like glare, encore etc.

Notable calcs
252 Atk Hoopa-Unbound Sucker Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Spectrier: 302-356 (88.5 - 104.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO after 1 layer of Spikes

252 Atk Hoopa-Unbound Photon Geyser vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Eternatus: 444-524 (105.4 - 124.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO

+1 252 Atk Hoopa-Unbound Photon Geyser vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eternatus: 474-560 (97.9 - 115.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO after 1 layer of Spikes

Garganacl @ Staraptite
Ability: Purifying Salt
Tera Type: Rock
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Salt Cure
- Body Press
- Stone Axe
- Recover
Garganacl is interesting with Staraptite. Loses Rock typing and become pure Fighting. And you secure hazards with Stone Axe + Salt Cure.

Palafin-Hero @ Starminite
Ability: Zero to Hero
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Ice Punch
- Jet Punch
- Drain Punch
- Flip Turn

In theory pure power with a 185 base attack should destroy pretty much everything in its path, but during play testing, mega evolving made palafin revert to base form and gave it illuminate instead, is that an intended feature or a bug?

Absolutely not a bug:
- in Mix and Mega, a form change will revert upon mega evolving (Meloetta, Darmanitan, Palafin...)
- we have datamined abilities and not ZA OU ones, so in datamine, Starmie-Mega gets Illuminate

Genuine question, why does ttar only have the tyranitarite as a viable item? I'm asking because the excadrillite looks great on it in theory and is an obvious combination

Tyranitar is pretty limited by the fact that rock/dark is a limited typing in what it can accomplish in big 2026

Offensive sets like the one you mention are not in contention just because rock/dark thuds into many pokemon in the tier, namely magearna. As for defensive niches tyranitarite outclasses everything else since the the spdef boost is too good

For the STABmon portion of this, do they only gain access to moves of their types before they mega evolve? That makes sense, but would like to confirm. And do they keep all other moves originally in their movepools?

Is there any reason ceruledge is unrestricted here but not in mnm? I get that sr and rock moves in general are much more common here but it still eats up any fatter teams unless theyre running sth like a heatranite normal or staraptor avalugg. Chip from from sr in the long run doesnt even matter since it heals to full just from 1 bitter blade on the opponents switch.
