I would not use pokegen unless you have aren't worried to much about your computer. You have to download three programs. We have deep freeze on our computer and it is old as dirt.
As far as the time it takes, it takes longer to get the movesets together than and to get them out of the GTS than it does to create. You can make them and save them to your computer and then you have to download them to GTS one at a time (same as GTS). The advantages of pokesav (when it is up) are:
1) don't have to download software
2) Can share with friends by giving them link vs trading
3) Don't have to download updates when program changes.
They both work about the same.
