    why can't weeeeeeeeeeee be friends
    why can't weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee be friends
    why can't weeeeeeeeeeee be friends
    why can't we, be friends
that first sentence explains so much about you

the Saints have the talent to hang with anyone, but their defense sucks, almost 2007-2008 bad, when they went 15-17 even though they had Brees.

none of the division games are easy wins, they still have to play in denver, dallas and new jersey, plus games @ GB and vs San Francisco... if they had last year's defense I think they'd go 12-4, but between the eminent drop-off and Payton gone (plus the harder schedule) 10-6 and a tie for the division leader has been my guess all along.
Just because I'm a fan doesn't mean I can't be a realist! I think the Falcons can beat anyone in the league except the Packers and Patriots, they just don't match up well against either.

    Brady and Rodgers too strongth
    Haha gengan

I wasn't really too mad with the loss... Early on it felt like we were winning even though we were losing, then it felt like we could come back at any time, then holy shit the game was almost over o.o

Main thing is I knew we had 0 chance at the packers, so I only wanted to win so Matty wouldn't be seen as a postseason failure
I feel pretty confident Rivers will have a bounce back year, just not confident enough they'll reach 10 wins and the playoffs.

The Falcons OLine is decent at best, maybe slightly below average. It's funny, though; a couple years ago during Matt Ryan's rookie season people thought that between him taking so few sacks and Turner doing so well that we had a top 5 offensive line. Hasn't regressed much since then, but our LT sucks. Ryan's not amazing at avoiding the pressure, but he gets rid of the ball quick enough that it doesn't affect him too much.

The Bucs were gonna have one of the top OLines in the league until their guard got hurt, but they should still be ok. The Panthers have 80% of a solid line, but if they can't get Otah to come back from injuries that have been plaguing him for a while then they'll have one shitty tackle :x
I dunno what to think about them to be honest, but they should win the division unless the bolts rebound
yep, I was picking 4th... not that I feel bad about McCoy, I just feel really good about Rice!

Sitting behind Bradshaw, Wilson has a chance to go huge. He's no more risky than any other late RB with upside (daniel thomas, ryan williams, ronnie hillman, etc) and TEs are a dime a dozen. Normally I don't mind drafting multiple players on one team, but when they all rely on one person to shine (all those guys but the giants' D would suck without the respective Manning) it's a bit riskier.

Peyton's fine, the Broncos D is only good in leagues that don't give bonus points for low scoring outings (they'll be pretty bad in most leagues). Vernon Davis is a fucking enigma that I'm not touching, but he has a chance at being great so idfk
    my team:

    QB: Matty Ice

    RBs: McCoy
    Lynch
    BJ "law firm" GE
    Michael Bush
    Ben Tate
    Daniel Thomas

    WRs: Marshall
    Boldin
    DeSean Jackson
    DHB
    Randall Cobb

    TE: Gates

    atl's kicker and cincy defense

after placing in 4th in both of my leagues after losing running backs I went RB heavy... hopefully in a couple weeks I can trade one for a good #2 WR! and maybe a backup QB
a little risky going with 3 giants and 2 broncos but no complaining!

50 shades of Ray will have a way better season than McCoy, I can almost guarantee it :toast:

Falcons are shit on the road but the Chiefs' quarterbacks are shit so it should be a pretty good game. They're also missing a linebacker or some shit for the first game
At absolute best, he'll get about 35 TDs and 4500 yards, an excellent season. Why risk that when Eli Manning and Matt Ryan will both reach 30 TDs and 4000 yards at least (barring injuries of course)? Not to mention the latter two are going several rounds later.

I don't expect Peyton to get injured again, he just won't be 100% and is not worth where he's being drafted.

Romo's an interesting case. I was high on him last year, and he did not disappoint (until the Eagles game where he got hurt, just added on to my playoff woes). While he should be up there with Eli/Matty for a 4k+ yd, 30+ TD season, I'm worried about his offensive line. That, combined with the lack of depth at WR and Witten having a chance of missing the season, and I'd look for safer options there too.

As you can tell, I'm kind of picky about quarterbacks... I'm going to be sad if I can't get Eli, Ryan, or Rivers :(
    I guess it's just the

    function

Just put [ quote = "name of the person"] quote here [ /quote ] without the spaces in the bracket, or no name if you want it to look exactly like Valk's.

In fantasy, consistency will win you games more often than boom/bust players. Injury prone players are even more dangerous than your typical explosive players (desean jackson, cruz) because they have a higher chance of scoring absolutely nothing that week. Of course, there's no such thing as a truly safe pick (last year I picked up AP and Forte, who had never missed a game up to that point... the playoffs weren't pretty) but I like sticking with the "safer" ones.

Peyton's interesting, but his ceiling is defined by how well he bounces back and his lack of great receivers. He will struggle, especially early, and might only reach 80-90% old-Peyton. That's great for the Broncos, bad for fantasy players.

I'm scared of AP and DMC, and won't be drafting either. There's an adage saying that you can't win your league with your first couple picks, but you can certainly lose it. Drafting injury risks is a big no-no imo.

Rodgers/Brady/Brees are going in the 1st, Stafford/Newton in the 2nd, then Vick/Eli/Romo/Peyton usually in that order from the 3rd-5th rounds, depending on the draft. I wouldn't touch Vick or Peyton either, because Eli, Romo, and Philip Rivers are all much safer, and Matt Ryan should be pretty good with JJ/Roddy. 5th or 6th round QBs are the way to go.
I know some of them were fluky (the 99 yarder lol) but he's still an exceptional deep threat that should see a couple of long TDs.

Most influence of all rookies, or most influence of Giants rookies? I don't care how good you are, it'll be hard to beat Luck and RG3 in that category :)

I'm a bit of an old schooler, I hate first round QBs and early QBs on principle. To sum it up shortly, you could draft an elite QB like Rodgers in the first round and an average 2nd RB like Green-Elis in round 5 or an average 3rd RB like CJ Spiller in the 7th, or you could get an elite RB like Foster in the first and an average QB like Eli or Matty Ice in the 5th/7th rounds.

Running backs drop off very quickly, while you can wait a long time to get a good QB. I will always go for RBs in the first round as long as I could.

I wouldn't risk Richardson earlier than the late 2nd round, his knee is hurt and he plays for the Browns, and rookie RBs are never great.
My league gives bonus points for long TDs, so Cruz is a bit above Nicks *-*

Saw JPP kick ass, but I'd never even heard of Hosley until that pick six :x
oops I must have missed that comment

if I end up drafting him I might change my fantasy football name to "Cruz Control"
    oh I was kinda confused

nah the 'coons backups suck because the backup qbs suck, we've been doing badly in preseason games since before JJ came around.
"That's the Morris Claiborne/Cowboy syndrome and you should thank Julio Jones for it."

    wut?
the example i am setting is an ambitious but exigent one--that if you post like a buffoon i will treat you like one
