  • I don't think so, as I think the game already sets the IVs for all the 3 starters in one go. You could find it out very easily, though. Just save before picking the starter, then reset noting the time, and get the Piplup as soon as you enter the game.

    Then you just need to input the IVs on the seed finder (if you can IV Check) and find the frame. If the Piplup is on frame 1, then all the starters are on frame 1. If not, then it's frame 1 for Turtwig, Frame 5 for Chimchar and Frame 9 for Piplup.

    I'm pretty sure it's like that on Platinum, since I've abused my wife's starter, so I don't see why it would be different in Diamond.
    The frames for the starters are always pretty much the same, I believe. I know that, in Platinum, there is a NPC that advances the frame for the starters, so you should be aware that it could happen in Diamond too, though.

    And yea I used to like catching ALOT more but I like breeding ALOOTT more XD

    And on HG theres not really a reliable way to advance frames consistanyl and QUICKLY
    So most seeds have really high frames with the low delays of HG/SS :(
    So i stick with breeding (for now :3)
