I was also considering multiple posts / flooding. Most people aren't clueless enough to start posting in every thread imaginable; how did he even find the thread he necroed, anyway? He purposefully had to go search in the depths of C&C, several pages back just to find the thread and post in it for no reason.
That I did. Did you see his post history? It was a bunch of one-liner responses in an extremely short time interval, including a 3 year necro-bump that consisted only of the pirate emoticon. Most of the other posts consisted of "Cool!," but he replied to a PS help thread by saying "I don't have that problem." It's as good as a spam bot to me... a conscious one.
