Darn, it's been so long I just can't remember my favorite characters. I really do like Snape, and I knew from the beginning that he was a good guy. At the end of the 6th book I correctly guessed what he did. (=
Yeah I would. And that was in my eyes. If Snape protected me like that, regardless of how he treated me during my Howarts years, heck yes I'd forgive him. And what Regulus did was basically as honorable. I'd forgive him as well. Especially Snape.
I remember reading the last book lol. I got the shivers then. :P
Wait, you said theories lol. Well, of course Snape did. Snape protected Harry and all that and did exactly as Dumbledore asked of him. Regulus went about trying to destroy the Horcruxes and even went so far as to get the locket out of there... yeah. He redeemed himself as well. (=

Snape was definitely on our side. The seventh book confirms that, and his love for Lily (I love having my favourite ships confirmed >_>) endured, keeping him on our side. His Patronus was a doe, backing up what he told Dumbledore ('always'), and in the end, he wanted Harry to know. If he was a dying Death Eater then I don't think he'd want to tell Harry that. -
