Na, my slaking is banded with an adamant nature max attack EVs.
Yea, I just did the dmg calcuator and a return from slaking to a max HP and Def snorlax still does 60-70% of his health so I have no idea.

But if I unless I was seeing things my return from slaking did NOTHING to snorlax how is that even possible?
