Well, by personality, I mean to give it some life or meaning.

For instance.

"Standard set up. Swords Dance boosts Scizors attack. Bullet Punch is used to sweep, and Bug Bite gives me more coverage. Roost is my recovery in order to last longer."

No one would want to read that, especially if your whole RMT consists of it.
Instead...
"Standard Set? Perhaps. Standard Sweeper? No freaking way! XD
Swords Dance is my terms of set up that boosts my attack to respectable and helpful levels. Bullet Punch is the definition of Scizor and allows me to wreck T-Tar, Cloyster, and Terrakion. Bug Bite adds to my coverage while serving the main purpose of checking Rankurusu. Roost and Leftovers rounds off the set by increasing Scizor's awesome longetivity.

Here's one of my RMTs that has some very good examples (sorry for some spelling / grammar errors. I wrote it late at night, so I was pretty tired. )
