btw, just in reply to this: "Okay, I kinda get it. You can sketch the move of one of your pokémon in a double battle." Double battles are the best way to teach moves to a Smeargle. If you try to just sketch a move from an enemy it gets frustrating, because Sketch only has 1PP and if they use the wrong move then you need to try over again (heal your Smeargle's PP or just soft-reset). Much better to control the situation in a double battle, by using the chosen move by your 2nd 'mon and having Smeargle Sketch the move from it. It only gets tricky when the move that you want to Sketch manages to slay both opponents or blocks Sketch. If Sketching Earthquake you'd want to find a double battle where at least one of the enemy pokemon are flying type or have levitate or the battle will end before you Sketch earthquake...
